On my old TB, I used to put a checkerboard on the top of his bum, followed by the shark teeth down the back legs as you've shown. He looked great, and Hughie does too after his makeover. Quartermarks are so much fun to do. (Jan Griffiths, on hubby's account).

For a dirty horse, his coat is super shiny! You don't need anything to keep those brush patterns in??

Thanks for this excellent video. Are quarter marks an essential part of preparation? I have always thought of them as something for show hacks.
Standardbred Adventures yes we do tend to do quarter markers for the dressage in eventing. Not as full on as the showies though! But something to make us look a bit fancy!😉
