Speaking from the position of having been a stepchild, a stepmom, a foster parent to my cousins, surrogate mom to siblings and step everything on all levels, THAT is a whole lot of baggage that kids and the bio parents can put the step parent thru. The step parent can’t parent totally like the bio and many times, there’s stuff going on in the background where you are great until they feel you aren’t. Bio parents can make mistakes but the step parent had better be perfect which allows for stepkids to get away with what your bio kids can’t. Just ask the bios when they grow up. The stories you will hear make you wish you never opened your door. Todd knows his daughter and may be protecting Kandi from the drama or getting used. It's very believable to me that Marc just doesn't talk to his parents. I don't have a relationship with my mom anymore. My husband met her while we were in college but of course hasn't seen her since I cut her off. And we have two kids she has never seen and probably won't ever see. I wish my husband would go behind my back and talk to her that would be unforgivable to me but of course he's well aware of why I don't talk to my mom. Unless Marc is just hiding stuff I'm sure Kenya is fudging the truth but saying she doesn't know why she can't talk to her in laws.

Todd reminds me of a man that Is fed up with everything including Mama Joyce. I know it's hard but that's a big issue between them. Also Todd doesn't seem to have no family ...his mother is deceased and his first born isnt checking for him so...I bet he's lonely and unfilled.
Maybe he should marry a woman with less money and different priorities. Everyone has trade offs and if quality time is now so important even tho he knew how kandi is and how riley was raised why make such a big deal out of it. As I remember previous seasons todd is the one who wanted ace and yet walked out of the ultrasound doctor appointment with dr jackie to answer a business phone call even when kandi asked him not to take calls during the appointment and todd was out at strip clubs all night while kandi was up with ace as a newborn.
I can see her schedule being an issue but I am the only one that remembers him hanging out excessively in the strip joints with Apollo at the beginning of the season.

It's very believable to me that Marc just doesn't talk to his parents. I don't have a relationship with my mom anymore. My husband met her while we were in college but of course hasn't seen her since I cut her off. And we have two kids she has never seen and probably won't ever see. I wish my husband would go behind my back and talk to her that would be unforgivable to me but of course he's well aware of why I don't talk to my mom. Unless Marc is just hiding stuff I'm sure Kenya is fudging the truth but saying she doesn't know why she can't talk to her in laws.
Most if not all the things in "Marc's" closet had tags on them as if she bought them for the scene. When Kenya was on WWHL she alluded to marc having issues with his parents and she stays out of it, but if that's the case, why bring it up on the show? My question is has Brooklyn met her siblings? NeNe and Greg celebrated 23 years. Did y'all catch when mal called cynthia an alpha? Where? How?
Todd reminds me of a man that Is fed up with everything including Mama Joyce. I know it's hard but that's a big issue between them. Also Todd doesn't seem to have no family ...his mother is deceased and his first born isnt checking for him so...I bet he's lonely and unfilled.
Maybe he should marry a woman with less money and different priorities. Everyone has trade offs and if quality time is now so important even tho he knew how kandi is and how riley was raised why make such a big deal out of it. As I remember previous seasons todd is the one who wanted ace and yet walked out of the ultrasound doctor appointment with dr jackie to answer a business phone call even when kandi asked him not to take calls during the appointment and todd was out at strip clubs all night while kandi was up with ace as a newborn.
