Obviously everyone that reads this.. Why does this shit have to be on every classic?
I am
Bernard Wright was born in the Jamaica section of, and was a child prodigy, playing with both Jamaica artist Tom Browne and Lenny White when he was a mid-teen. At 17, Wright signed with GRP Records and he soon released ‘Nard, a smash on the Jazz charts and an introduction of Wright’s funky jazz sounds to the R&B world. Not many people know he was the only son of legendary singer Roberta Flack Dies at 58 on May 20-2022.
@BMW YES HE WAS WONDERFUL SONGWRITER AND SINGER AND PLAYED THOSE INSTRUMENTS AND HIS MUSIC WAS AWESOME AND WILL SURELY BE MISSED🙏🏿
Child prodigy means someone under around age ten who produces meaningful output or talent. What are some talented things he did that young.. Being Roberta Flacks son he most likely did since birth with good talent. Rip
@@justinmoore3217 that was his godmother. Not real mom
That was his godmother not mother

@Tiren Mickens The "One" always come when you're not looking. Stay positive out here when dating but don't cancel too many women, you may cancel the. "One". Good luck sweetheart.
@Tiren Mickens you can't go wrong with making yourself better. When you better yourself you make those around you motivated as well. You're on the right path love, keep going ❤.
I had no clue Bernard had passed until I found out the work he put in on Tom Brownes "Funking "for Jamaica". That brought me to remember this track by him. This song was fresh and a favorite. R.I.P Bernard and thank you for everything you gave us while you were here. You will always stay in rotation.

And just like that, it's 1985 again and I'm in high school ✌️
The world lost its innocence once again in the passing of Bernard Wright. Love like that doesn't exist anymore; thanks for the reminder of a simpler if not happier time through your music. Rest in peace my brother.

My kids go ballistic when I play this in the car. It's rocking brilliant. What's happened to music ehh !! What have we done to deserve the crap that is being played on our airwaves these days ?
MrAFORCEONE They know great music when they hear it. 😉🙆🏾 They have great taste like us. I love that. Thank you for sharing this comment.❤️
That's what every generation says.
What have WE done? Well, we created the kids that created the kids that shat upon the radio airwaves. Now they’re completely saturated in dookey.
It's magical.
This was and still is truly a jam. Peace and blessings to his family and friends.
He lived with us for a while. We are all from queens. His wife left him and moved to Texas. All he talked about was getting back with her. He wore this song to get back with her. They did reunite and he moved to Texas. SIP my friend
I was honored to meet Bernard Wright a couple of years ago.... He was working with a music producer that i know in dallas, tx..... It's funny when i see this video, cuz after all of that time, he still looks the same as he did on this video. He's a very cool brother, and very talented!!!!
