04-07 CTS-V Carrier Bearing Replacement

In this video, I cover how to replace the failure prone 04-07 CTS-V carrier bearing. The procedure should be very similar on the Porsche Cayenne and other vehicles with this style of driveshaft. I recorded this on my iPhone 5, so bear with me I am working on getting a better setup for future videos and overall quality should improve. Parts and tools needed:
Masking tape
Hammer
Large hammer
6" long 1.5" diameter pipe nipple
Rounded punch (3/8" is what mine was I believe)
Some kind of tool to hold the boot tight
O-ring if your kit doesn't come with one
O-ring lube
A couple of prying screw drivers
Pliers
Straight edge
Knife
Lock ring pliers are optional but highly recommended
Press and bearing splitter also makes it easier

replaced my whole driveshaft because i didnt want to do surgery on my original one. The damn thing still clunks and i hear it bouncing around under there. Is the VW one stiffer and better supported?

would you know were I can get the actual carrier bearing housing. I did not know that I needed to use the old one.
by the time that I got to this video trash was gone.

Kevin Dumpert Yes. It is for a Porsche but will work with a little modification. The voodoo chicken is the best carrier bearing available.

Ok, how do you install the driveshaft together without the bearings falling out everywhere ?video was helpful but,I needed to see how it's pressed all back in? Tia
