  • In this camp, we put the Robens Klondike tipi tent through its paces. In stormy cold weather, we were glad of the Outbackerr Stove.
    Apologies, Neil had a bad cold and a very bad hangover!

    Brandy is back! Good to see ya girl! I am waiting for the spring to start my camping trips. You two are brave to spend the night out in the cold and rainy weather. Glad you had some great food to keep yourselves fueled! The outdoor kitchen looks fantastic!

    Another great video guys! Glad you're getting use out of the stove and the Robens! My mate Richard has the same stove as you and he has put a grate in the bottom of the belly and an adjustable vent in the door and it works so much better than before. Happy camping and keep warm!

    Great video guys. Both looking good, especially Brandy, looks like you've toned up lady. Good review on different items, esp on that Mulled wine, make your own, easy to do and gets you pissed quicker. Neil, where were you brought up?

    I've been looking at buying a Klondike. How tightly does the fabric close around the chimney? Any water come in through the chimney area when it rains?

  • @hypo345
    @hypo345 Před rokem +1

    Did the Klondike leak then or just lots of condensation, we have the Robens Fairbanks (not a hot tent) which we use from April to end of September and have had very little issues with condensation and it’s never leaked.
    Thinking of getting the Klondike for some winter camping would you recommend this tent from your experience of it.

    • @UKYanky
      @UKYanky  Před rokem +1

      The tent fabric does not leak. Under heavy storms it was surprisingly robust and stood up to the test. However, there can be a small leak at the front on the tent especially if this is in the face of the storm. The tent is big enough for it not to matter and it's an area that gets wet as you walk in and out of the tent anyway. The tent is easy to pitch and roomy for 4 and a palace for 2. Hope this helps. P.S the only tent I would of got instead of this was a Tentipi but they were at least 2K at the time (maybe more)

    Hey, are you planning on going wild camping with set-up? (Lima Oscar Lima).
    P.S. - Was this a pre rigged glamping site, or you own private excursion kit? Kind regards.

      Pre-rigged, the site owner gives us a lift to his wild but designated pitches in his bit of woodland. Little Ropers in Bures

      Thanks Rick. It definitely is not backpacking gear! Weighs a ton with the stove too.
      I am getting a CO detector tonight BTW. And it's right that we're raising awareness. So sorry to read that your friend was lost to that.
      Stay Safe buddy and happy New year too.

      Unfortunately, not as much as we like. Sparkle is getting to the stage where she can't handle cold weather, and since we moved a great deal further from our favourite spots, we can't get to them as easily. We will get back to it soon. We are doing walks at the moment, and my editor will put some up soon. Thanks for asking.
