Great knowledge! Smart packing is always important!
I'm planning on a little camp in these woods they're pretty local to me and in my research stumbled across your channel.looks like a cool spot youve found there.any chance of giving me an idea where to find it?
I'll try to pinpoint the exact position for you when I get home. We've moved away now so it's all yours.
Sweet nice 1.maybe I'll repair your little table if it's still there
Very funny ty
I've been looking at buying a Klondike. How tightly does the fabric close around the chimney? Any water come in through the chimney area when it rains?
cracking vid guys xxx
I am guessing I should have watched this video first! Again, I really enjoyed this video also.
Glad you enjoyed it!
What a beautiful hike, the country side views are just wonderful. So happy I found your channel and I am going to enjoy watching your videos. Thanks for sharing with us my new friends.
Welcome aboard! Great to meet new people, even only virtually!
Nice walk, where do u find them?
I use Ordinance Survey maps to plot routes. The app is something like 30 quid a year or something.
Great to see u back.
Thanks mate.
In your description you write that it's the Trangia 25 that fits. In the video you said the Trangia 27 which one fits in this pot?
Such a long time ago but it is definitely the Trangia 27. All the best and good luck
thank you!@@UKYanky
@Edzherenow99 btw we still use the Tatonka pot and it is still as good as new if that's anything to go by.
Good one, an all day breakfast in a bag!

Aye thanks mate. Brandy and I cant wait to meet up again with you. Hope you , Sharon and the family are well.
Hopefully you see this on such an old video. How do you recommend this billy pot 6 years on? I've got the same idea to nestle with the 27 trangia
Still use it. Would recommend! We are planning to start back up. We have had a move and still trying to get the lay of the land in regards to where we can go for videos such as this.
Furthermore, it's great for the larger one pot cooks and is extremely robust.
Do you still Camp ?😊
Unfortunately, not as much as we like. Sparkle is getting to the stage where she can't handle cold weather, and since we moved a great deal further from our favourite spots, we can't get to them as easily. We will get back to it soon. We are doing walks at the moment, and my editor will put some up soon. Thanks for asking.
5 years after you made this video I guess you know that actually all the ponies and sheep are owned by local farmers. My father, when he was young was an auctioneer in a local market on the moor and sold them. Unfortunately (or fortunately) the market died and many ponies went to france and well, you can guess how they end up!!!
No I didnt know that local history but thanks so much for sharing it. Its a beautiful bit of England that. Always envious of those who get to explore it more often.
Did the Klondike leak then or just lots of condensation, we have the Robens Fairbanks (not a hot tent) which we use from April to end of September and have had very little issues with condensation and it’s never leaked. Thinking of getting the Klondike for some winter camping would you recommend this tent from your experience of it.
The tent fabric does not leak. Under heavy storms it was surprisingly robust and stood up to the test. However, there can be a small leak at the front on the tent especially if this is in the face of the storm. The tent is big enough for it not to matter and it's an area that gets wet as you walk in and out of the tent anyway. The tent is easy to pitch and roomy for 4 and a palace for 2. Hope this helps. P.S the only tent I would of got instead of this was a Tentipi but they were at least 2K at the time (maybe more)
Have just ordered the -27 kettle yesterday. Supposedly, it’s better for boiling water, say, for rice noodles (need to mostly restrict gluten if I want to not be *really* tired all the time.)
How are you getting on with it?
@@UKYanky have not tried the kettle out yet, even if I’ve briefly run both gas and alcohol burners to verify function.
It is a .6 liter kettle. It boils water quickly, so I re-fill and re-boil if making beverages for several people. If I need 1 liter, I will use one of the pots. At the end of the day, I like it-really like it.
Great video you two. Welcome back. I’m really glad Sparkles is ok.
Glad you’re back guys. 👍🏼
Thank you! We are too!
Jasus, POI's eh... u can tell ure from a military background..:)

Brilliant wondered we're you two had gone great to have you both back!! I was up derwent and Howden reservoir Sunday love that place. Come on the blues!!! ATB
Thank you. C'mon the Blues indeed! Last season was a nail biter.
Welcome back!!!! Nice to see that things are going good buddy!
Well nothing to complain on CZcams about anyway lol.
@@UKYanky hahahahah! I’ll give you a shout next time I’m up in your neck of the woods, you’re not too far from some of my family
Nice Video! I am new to youtube and wondering if you have any feedback for me? Thanks a lot!!!!
I am missing your camping expeditions, you two. Kind regards.
Sorry for late, reply. Only just seen some comments...good news on this front. We have a nice camp planned for April in the Lake District and also some nice hikes too :)
There's a Saxon chapel at Deerhurst in Gloucestershire, and that would be significantly older than this one.
sounds fab! (apologies for late response lol)
But was anybody of note crowned there?
At kielder forest park by any chance?
It was at Littler Ropers in Suffolk, sorry for the late response!
I don’t know if you are aware but you are not allowed to have fires on Dartmoor !!
Big fine these days (2022) i understand!!!
The problem is drying it all when you get home
Thanks for this video. There are loads of little gems like this in Suffolk. Did you know that Edmund like you said was crowned king of Anglia Christmas 855 after his farther Offa died but did you know Edmund died in 870 making him a grand old age of 29 years. Making him the martre ST Edmund. He died at the hands of the Danes making him one of the greatest kings Along side Alfred the great. I believe One of these Kings should be the patron saint of England. This video is a little gem in itself. Thank you again.
You may want to adjust the fire to middle by using the adjustable cover when frying the sausage , add more oil as well. :)
Nice vid, planning on doing this walk, and your vid been very helpful 😁😁
Nice recipe and demo👍. Must try this one out on the kids. Stay safe guys ! ATVB from an expat now living in sunny Malaysia 😎😷🇲🇾
