AI vs Human in opal mining WAR..

- In this quick edit, we take a look at Daniel Brown’s (Archon Mining) AI model he has trained to recognize precious opal, potch, sandstone etc. I feel slightly threatened, but quickly remember the many million of years of highly sophisticated dopaminergic systems us little ol’ humans have that keeps us digging where AI is still just growing a brain.. Albeit relatively quickly!
To prove the point we get sweaty checking a shaft for more potch, but again, my brain is telling me the big one is juuuust a few inches away.. (tricky old dopamine)..
The next day sees us on a ‘hit and run’ where we virtually abseil down, check an entire claim, grab a fistful of colour and skedaddle before the nighshifters are even out of bed.... - Komedie
😊 Thank you for including us in the Video. Looking forward to what AI can bring to Opal Mining!
Nice bits you found there.
I enjoyed your video and I gave it a Thumbs Up
Thank you very much! 🙏😊
Ow ya garn to a spider 🤣🤣🤣
Gotta maintain friendly relations or they push ya off the seat..😳
@@Opaldigger 🤣🤣🤣
perhaps in the future it will be useful.
AI can live in the hole plug them selves into power recharge and keep digging
Haha, but who will skynet sell their opal to? 😅
Have you ever dropped your pick when you are mid-shaft?
I don’t think so, but I did drop a two foot blacklight once, and foolishly went down to retrieve it past a very dangerous collapsed sleeve near the top, very big rocks ready to fall. I was lucky to live that day!
@@Opaldigger yeah tried to avoid that.
@@ThatOpalGuy Agreed! Its almost always when you know you're taking unneccessary risks when things go badly wrong, there are very few unavoidable 'freak' accidents.
@@Opaldigger yeah, there are times you dont get to learn from experience.
Hoping the AI can do some of the riskier exploration and keep people safe :)
