Amazing, great thoughts. If we can combine all the human capital and the economic power of the Asian/European nations we can create an incredibly
dynamic development that can then spread to Africa and South/Central America. This will truly bring humanity forward to a brighter future.

Agreed! However, in order for this to happen, the West MUST stop its idea of DOMINATING others and STOP having this sense of SUPERIORITY over others and adopt MUTUAL RESPECT for one another with a "Win-Win" attitude. The West's terrible habit of TELLING others what they should and should not do is an impediment to unity in solving problems together.
It should be an equal partnership but what is "should" is often not achievable in reality due to nationalism, hubris, narcissism, greed, pride, and elements from the "7 deadly sins".
No nation is "holier than the next" and no nation should pretend that it is "better" than someone else.
If such OBJECTIVENESS is adopted, there MAY be a chance in achieving what you have thought of - among many other enlightened thinkers in the world who are unfortunately, not found in our political leadership circles these days.

@Rob-iz6nm "A little knowledge can be a dangerous thing" .... far too many people have just a scant surface view of things and automatically infer through assumptions that they know a lot.
Hence that adage and caution: "it is best to keep your mouth shut or else, confirm to others that you are the real fool they believe you to be" - a wise piece of advice. However, many don't take to advice anyhow and so, they continue to make themselves fools.
Wise and observant philosophers like Voltaire are exactly like wise economists and political observers of today - Jeffrey Sachs, Richard Wolf, and many others - who are either ignored or vilified and scorned by those who actually knows nothing and are too lazy to dig for the truth. In some ways, they are like the early prospectors for gold who find a few pieces or flecks of surface gold and assume that there's all there is and nothing is to be found beneath.
It appears that we will have to keep trying to enlighten the world that is still dark with those running around snuffing out the candles and switching off the lightbulbs!

Thank you Mr. askary and Mr. brawer for conducting this conversation. it is So educating and enlightening to listening to both of you gentlemen . If only even 65% of western leaders and its citizenry understand friendship and dignities of diversity of peoples in the world, all civilizations can co-exist admidst differences, have civil discourses, we will all live in peace. Sadly, like Mr Askary said, the arrogance of the ruling class in Europe and the US want to cancel everyone else just like the conformist faction of the 1700’s catholic popes did that only their world views matter. President Xi of China in his speeches always talk about peaceful co-existence, and helping each other in nation building, win- win trade policies fall on deaf ears in the west! How sad it is! The west continuously want to cancel China and show no respect! We cannot allow that to happen!

An excellent discussion that highlights, in Leibniz’s thought, the only possible basis for coexistence between parties with different histories and patterns of thought.

Westerners/Christians have tried to convert the Chinese, sometimes with Coercion and violence, for millennia without success. They are still trying to this day. Meanwhile, after the disastrous cultural revolution in the 70s and after the Chinese got better economically and got rid of famine, traditional ancient traditions have come roaring back.
