    Thank you, that was really beautiful, and an education. My dad (90) tells of how he would go to bed as a little boy listening to a Caruso record being played by his parents downstairs. I think he found it more scary than the Blitz!

    A nice bit of history!!! Lovely…thank you so much! Quite nice to step back in time to my grandfather’s time. In the 1950s my dad brought home one of these record players with the folding arm and 78 shellac records. They were all red in color.

    Apart from the fact that the photo of Caruso looks more like an Aida than a Radames, the voice is of the purest quality and the singing is unique among recorded tenors. Thank you for sharing.
