Yeah...loved their emphasis on true stars and entertainers...unlike the taloid-like journalism of shows today...and sadly, ET.

These two are the gold standard for entertainment journalism. I got chills watching this reunion. So happy John Tesh is feeling better!
They were and are the epitome of grace, decency and beauty on and offscreen that we don't see ANYWHERE!!! Loved them then and will love them forever!

This is nostalgic in a way and absolutely sobering.
Mary Hart was more than the host of Entertainment Tonight, she WAS Entertainment Tonight. She had lots of male co-anchors: Bob Goen, Mark Steines and Rob Weller. But, no male co-anchor was more awesome than John Tesh. ET was never the same since John left first and Mary left last.
Liking a racist like Mary Hart says a lot about you: you don't READ.

Loved watching John and Mary, I grew up watching ET. It was so classy and felt more like a news show then, rather than the feel it has now.

I like John. Love his radio show. His voice is awesome.
I was in my teens when these two started over 30 years ago. So many memories come back seeing them on the old ET set. Yet another sad reminder of all that we have lost with not only this show but so many others, being not only a shadow of their former selves, but in general a sad excuse for television as a whole. How did we end up with the junk that passes for TV today? How?
At one time, talent mattered. Nowa days, it’s all about reality ‘stars,’ ‘Instacelebs,’ and ‘kids of,’ famous people and unfortunately, talent is no longer a requirement.
@@JRLOC Class and pedigree is what I see is missing today. These two have both in gallons. Their counterparts of today are mostly just mutts found on the side of the road.

They were the Ken and Barbie of entertainment news. I miss those days of Entertainment Tonight when Hollywood mattered.
I remember when the show first aired. There was nothing like it at that point and we always watched it.
I watched all those episodes with John and Mary!!! Kudos to them - they set the bar. Unmistakable voices. Style; panache; entertaining and skilled. John - relieved to hear you clung to your faith and renewed your trust in God. He and only He is the source of our strength and power and healing!!!

I am all the more blessed beyond measure to have been able to see Mary Hart and John Tesh on Entertainment Tonight because watching ET, you knew it was a great show.
I am one of the older people in this world who was lucky enough to watch the very first episode of "Entertainment Tonight" when it premiered in the fall of 1981 and I have been watching it non-stop for the last 38 and a half years. Some weeks ago I was also lucky to watch the 10,000TH show as well. In my opinion both Mary and John were and still are the best anchor team in the history of the almost the 39 year history of this show. To John, I am so sorry to hear of your cancer diagnosis and I happy to hear that you are in remission. I also watched your concert specials and I love your music. God Speed to you that you remain cancer free and I will say my prayers for both you and your family. To Mary, I miss you as the co-anchor of Entertainment Tonight and it was a great loss to the show when you retired. It was so nice to see both John and you together again. God Bless you both.

I too don't watch any longer because no one comes close to hosting the way these two did.
Bring them back for good... When they left... ET turned to crap.... When I saw this.. I went to pieces.. I lost my mom to 2 forms of cancer.. Did not know she had it until she died on a visit to Myrtle beach... You can have all the faith in the world and some don't get their "healing.." My mom had passed in Jan 2013 and even talking about my breast exam and my mom.. I was in tears in the exam room the other day.. Just the mention of my mommy makes me cry...
Pamela, your mom got her healing, just not they way ya'll had hoped. I lost my father in law in Aug. 2018, he got his healing too, just not the way we wanted. I know that they both are no longer in pain and that's what gets us through it. But not having them here just sucks. I'm almost to the point where I can talk about him without bawling. And the memories!! What great memories I have of him. Hope you can get there too. Love and hugs to you and prayers that one day, you can talk about your mom and remember without losing it emotionally.
You need to try watching again, it is fantastic now.
Cancer is no joke. My sister died this past November of AML, she lived 2 weeks after the diagnosis. John is a lucky man.
God bless you John. My sister is beating lung cancer and Mets to the brain. It has raised its ugly head at her two more times needing cyber knife and many prayer warriors. She was given 3-5 months to live with massive brain radiation we said no, she is still here loving God 5 years now. Devine healing is real, Praise God because he is AWESOME!

And I remember when he was with CBS Sports, and did a few things on Sports Saturday/Sunday.

I use to watch Mary Hart and Bob Goen on ET, with my grandmother. John Tash as well. So many fond memories. I truly miss seeing them on Tv. I hope they they are doing well. Thank you for your profrssionalim and great service. God bless

An Awesome surprise & pleasure to see Mary Hart & John Tesh back together again. Both are still Charismatic professionals.. Nothing like today's hosts.
It's takes a long time they're to are back together.
If you look at the difference of celebrity news as a whole from before 2000 and after, it changed drastically in both television and print media. It all became more directed towards sensationalism than just regular news and behind the scenes work.
E.T, was my favorite show to watch in the throughout the 1980's and early 1990's when it was entertainment and not about whatever they push as entertaining these days. I'm old.
He is so great on the radio.

Intelligence For Your Life has been emanating through my car's radio for years. Such a stunning gentleman. Glad he's doing well.
Such an uplifting man who has brought so much inspiration to so many people over the radio, God knew how he would navigate that path along with his wife Connie by his side. Wow, it was so challenging to watch Mary get emotional. She is so stoic. I couldn't watch this whole interview because I can't believe he went through that. Im so glad he came out so much better on this side.

Thank God for his honesty and his willingness to be real. I survived Kidney cancer and had complications. I know what it's like to want life to stop the physical and emotional, painful suffering. Thank God he came out on the other side.

I just loved Mary and John. The perfect team. I knew he had left to pursue his music career but had no idea about his health crisis. So glad he's cancer free. I haven't really kept up with the show since they both left because the show doesn't seem the same without them. 😀😀
