I can’t believe how easy Rory gives in into Logan’s shenanigans. I mean he’s stealing from her grandparents house and she’s like “Logan no” and then she looks amused, is just stupid.

She's young and dumb and in love, that's why.

This dinner proves why Rory’s grandparents and Logan add more of her downfall than her uplifting side

I think her being raised to think she's perfect and never facing any true criticism or hardship so she fell apart at the first bit of criticism (which for all the production about it wasn't even that bad) is the main factor in her downfall.
That and her mom, who was supposedly so close with her, cut her off and refused to even talk the second she did something that made her anything less than Lorelei's "perfect daughter".
Was Logan immature? Yes. Could the grandparents have talked to Lorelei first before allowing Rory to move in so she wasn't blindsided? Yes. However at least they were there for Rory and for the most part tried to talk to her about her future and Yale while also being there for her in the moment and doing what they thought she needed based on what she said instead of their image of her.

Logan has gotten so many maid fired will that little prank im sure of it.
Also, Loralie's joke about her mom being hired for a job in Cape Cod is hilarious forshadowing 💕

I loved seeing Logan cringe under Lorelai's judgment at the table over the sewing box. The fact that he just goes to people's homes and swipe their stuff is just juvenile and gross. It would be one thing if he was a stupid teenager, but he's in his 20's doing this. And he doesnt know if these things are people's family heirlooms or something they hold dear, not to mention, he could've just cost that poor maid her job. I am more warmed up to Logan as the series went on, but this was not his finest of scenes.

I get the joke, but Logan should have said somenthing the moment he saw that it was getting someone else in trouble

"still sloshing around up there".....love it. Lorelei is unimpressed and she smells trouble. Ive been critical of Lorelei's relationship with her parents but Loreleis mothering instincts are spot on whereas Emily and Richard are blinded by social class. In a way its hard to believe Emily and Richard are that monodimensional / single minded...their blinded by social classand they dont see how social class was the undoing of Christopher, Lorelei and Rory. Lets face it...thats a lot of pressure and god forbid you fail....its a hard and devastating fall from that height

I was never team Logan, I have always been team dean for the beginning. Logan was just a bad influence on Rory

You and me both, Haley! I just hate the way they messed with his character later in the series. Dean was true-blue for Rory. He Never would have done the whole crazy wedding-cheat ordeal. I believe he would have doubled down for her. Enlisted some guidance from her mom even---Logan did the same thing later as I recall. But the writers never truly intended on there being a happy ever-after. I read up on Ms.Pallidino and she said just as much in some Interview! Like what's the point of even building us all up and lifting our spirits with each wonderful episode to then just turn every character on their head and have our main protagonists left in a miserable place in their lives?!

@Haleycarol and?? Jess had his own issues and needed to get them sorted out and was not ready to be in a relationship with Rory, despite him trying to be. Did he handle it the best and mature way? No. He was a kid and Rory was not that mature herself. But he knows Rory better than she knows herself and it was him who got her head out her ass and back into school, though I disagreed when she tried to put it on Logan. She made her own damn decisions.
