Though I hate that Richard and Emily didn’t stick with Lorelai’s plan in the beginning, but God I HATE RORY HERE! The way she played her grandparents to take her in, then left them in the most rude, irresponsible, hateful way and didn’t even get to be told that what she did was awful, is just beyond despicable😣
Agreed! With Lorelai, it was different. She was a child. Rory was a damn adult. She had the guts to cry and talk them into letting her move in, gets coddled, but then when it goes wrong she runs away and doesn't talk; which ironically was the thing she always told Lorelai to do.
The sad part is emily doesn't really know how to talk to her daughter without being over baring
The very fact that she's looking over a fucking *AIRPLANE* before she decides to buy it speaks volumes.
Rory: I love you, Mom

“I got her a job”. Ugh, this has bothered me for years. The DAR is not a paying job, it’s volunteer work. Every time the show talks about Rory working at the DAR I want to throw something. It is a 100% volunteer organization.
Although now that begs the question-did Rory’s time in the DAR count towards her community service hours that she needed?

Rory actually explained that in the first episode. Lorelei told her about how men name their son's after themselves so why couldn't the mom's? But she was also drugged up from the medicine the doctors gave her.
