    I've been using the BROOM to push the dirt to the deep end, where I just had the vac sitting. Never thought of the hose! That creates the current that keeps the dirt down there! SMART!!! Glad I watched this!!! I'm gonna try it.

    I like the hose attached to pole idea. They make a brush for cleaning on top of cars that attaches to a hosse, which might be a great 2in1 tool, but not likely gonna get a jet from it. I like the pool brushes, as they are thin and as you said, pool up before you pool towards you, and the thin brushes not only make it easy, but when you twist it sideways, it pools back very easy and does not pull much water back. One comment you made that I think falls under humor is...Using this hose cleaning method will save you on water...Which I find funny. Keep, enjoying this content!

  • @MarioIArguello
    @MarioIArguello Před 2 lety +11

    I also use a regular push broom, :) it is a logical thing to do when you want fast brushing, the problem with push brooms like the one you are using is that it takes a bit of effort to get the brush moving, because of the greater bristle area, when used without extension pole, the pole does add considerable leverage and makes it easier to push. But the reason for pool brushes to be thin is to make them easier to push and also so they wear out faster so to have you rush back to the pool supply store to get a new one.:) . I do love the garden hose head idea! I know that works without trying, simple common sense, but I will implement that in my system. A BIG THUMBS UP!

    Love your Idea I been trying to tell people about how to do exactly your way. I started out y listening to the pool supy company but after awhile their way was not cleaning the pool. People this is one one the best money savers . The pollen on the bottom is to fine for a thing but chemicals to catch it.. So when you vacuum make sure you do it on waste out . Because nothing will catch that pollen or bacteria. I found this way out by turning my pool off for the night. Woke up and it was all on the bottom. Pool people kept telling me it needed more this and that . I will have a video almost like the Bee man. Great video . It's a must see . EMERGENCY!!!!

    Another surface skimming tip... get an empty dawn dish soap squeeze bottle, put 2 table spoons of dawn soap in it and fill with water, squirt the solution towards the middle of the pool surface. Now watch like magic as all surface debris moves to the water line tile. The weak soap solution changes the surface tension and makes netting at the tile line easy. 🤠 I'm no bull rider but have many decades of pool experience in AZ.

    Couldn’t you do that during the season when in the pool. I know you don’t want to get in (at start of season) before it’s cleaned but later on to keep the debris out. We use to keep scrub sponges in a bucket at our local indoor pool. Everyone was encouraged to spend at least 5 minutes when they were in the pool using the sponges to scrub along the water line and the tiles. There was a big clock on the wall to time yourself or many times the life guard or class teacher would organize a “all clean” and we’d line up around the pool with our sponges and go all the way around. Then those who could swim better would line up across the pool with the long handle push brooms to push the debris down to intakes. Then the pool’s system pulled the debris into the filter system. It made a boring task fun with several of us doing it while we were walking along before pool aerobics started or after. And it kept the pool cleaned. We used the push broom to do the same down to the drain area where it pulled the water and debris - again kept the water cleared and the pool bottom cleaner without major shutdowns for some service to come in for 2 days to do it. It stayed cleaner, and we did t lose pool days.
    Just a note, there are clarifies and flocculants and they work differently and have different applications. There are some things he didn’t have time to mention about how to properly use to keep your sanitizer working, and your ph balanced, also about backwashing, etc., not using with cartridge type filters, etc. In addition, these don’t take care of algae, you need to shock your water for that. What these do is cause bacteria, spores, etc “floating” in the water that won’t settle, to clump together and then settle to the bottom. Here is a link to a company that sells and gives advice on pools. They have lots of good articles and advice. People post questions and they answer them too and I’m sure you can call them if you need help and just can’t figure it out.

    Great idea I'm gonna try this. Its the winter cover thats causing this. Early Sept. it gets shut down because of cold nights and less sun during the day. A mesh cover goes over it (but sunlight gets through) and then sometime during Sept. or even Oct. or both we will get a week or so of the upper 70s or low 80s. Sitting stagnant it starts to go green. Just no way to avoid this. Spring rolls around and I shock and clean filter repeatedly. I have a bottom drain so going directly to waste I'm thinking I would only lose an inch or two of water. 16x32 3ft. to 9ft. 26,000. It certainly seems like it would help opening! Would it be possible to net some out of bottom? Comments are welcome

    Something I have found handy. There are numerous trees that drop the leaves all winter long into the pool. I use an old rake and cover the prongs with plastic tubing so it won't
    damage the plastic liner and rake them to the deep end then vacuum them up. I attach the rake head to the pool pole. Works great and never damaged the liner. I leave the plastic tubing
    about 1/2 inch longer than the rake tines. Just get a snug fitting tubing.
