I love the Grandma power. My granddaughter called me once to tell me about her first lost tooth. Her (single) Dad had it on speaker phone and was listening. We talked about the tooth fairie and the money she'll get. Her joy turned to sadness when she said, "But my Daddy says the tooth fairie pays in pennies!" I said, (loud enough fo him to hear), "Oh NO, Chloe. Your Daddy doesn't know what he's talking about. In fact, the tooth fairie is going to pay you FIVE DOLLARS!" In the background I heard, "GIVE ME THE PHONE CHLOE; GIVE ME THE PHONE! I NEED TO TALK TO NANNIE!"

Kids need practice challenging people and a parent can provide a safe space to do that. That way kids learn how to challenge things in a respectful, coherent way, and how to think on their feet, how to question what they're told. They learn how to analyze a situation. Besides, if my ideas, conduct, or decisions really can't stand the scrutiny maybe they need to be reconsidered or reengineered.

Cap and Iron Man part the heroic forces in two, and out walk Mom and Grandma.
The forces of Thanos let out a collective gasp in fear.
Thanos turns back to laugh at Mom.
Mom and Grandma look at one another for mutual reassurance, then jointly face Thanos to stare him down.
      And they give him...The Glare.
Thanos snaps his fingered glove, and the forces of evil disappear in a flash of light.
