Completely agree. I thought he'd start slowly and have that price tag hanging over his head for the first few months but it's like people have almost forgotten about it. Fair play to Arsenal - they knew they wanted him and how good he could be and just simply paid what was needed to get it over the line. He's going to a mammoth addition for the longterm!
His range qnd variety of passes is actually insane, long, short, lofted, drilled, 40 yards, finesse... da whole lot, we are blessed to have him in our sqad ❤
I love how from all the vids of him from before, now that he's an arsenal player there's more of a technical emphasis in the vids, cos now he's involved in a more technical variety of futbol, and altho he's already very good technically, in the next year or 2 he'll become even more astute..

He’s much better as a 6, I say we just use Partey and rice as holding dms, then use zinchenko to ignite the attacks from midfield, that way zinny can attack without worrying about getting exposed on the counter
So if you were a coach, you'd play rodri as an 8 and buesqet as a 6?

@@skyguysnips honestly, it's becoming crazy, I'd get it of they suggest partey and jorginho in a double pivot or rice and jorginho since jorginho us a deep lying playmaker. Partey and rice are way too similar that why it didn't work in the first games of the season but zinchenko works. And besides if you want to play rice and partey as a double pivot that means ødegaard and zinchenko wouldn't start for it to work effectively, as as you'd need a CAM, like Vieira or bruno Fernandez, ødegaard has a right sided bias and would likely vacate his central position to drift right wards

One thing that's surprised me about him is he oozes technical quality. I can't quite describe it, but you just can tell his technical ability is really high

I knew he'd be a fantastic long term signing for us but how quickly he's settled into the team and made an impact has been really exciting. Feels like he's been with us for much longer the way he's embedded himself in. The fact that absolutely nobody is talking about that £100m+ price tag tells you just how good he's been.

What a player! I still think Partey is better at receiving the ball from the CBs and turning but Rice has the ability to add that to his game with a bit of coaching from Arteta.

This why Arteta wanted him so bad..the gap is closed in central midfield now btn Gunners n City Partey and Rice in there are of equal measure if not better than Rodri and Kovacic or Stones ..if u can control the midfield then uv won 70% of the battle ..rest is down to putting away crucial chances of which City are miles ahead ..defensewise Saliba n Gabriel are as good as Citys backline ..all we need is a centreforward that puts away chances like Haaland n City matches wont be so hard to navigate

Still want to see Partey as a dm MØ as LAM and Rice as a box to box midfielder, in that way he can play more like Xhaka at the end of his time here, he will be able to run in space inside the box, his stats probably will be twice or trice as good as this
