How to Replace the Flush Valve in a Cadet Touchless Toilet

Help control the spread of germs in the bathroom with the Cadet Touchless Toilet from American Standard. With the new Touchless Flush Valve If you are looking to replace the flush valve, follow these steps:
0:17 1. Close or Shut off water supply line
0:34 2. Remove tank lid from tank
0:38 3. Using sensor puck or manual flush button, flush majority of water from tank
0:42 4. If needed, use a sponge to remove the remaining water from the tank
0:56 5. Disconnect battery pack from flush valve, remove from tank, and set aside
1:03 6. Disconnect refill tube from overflow
1:10 7. Disconnect manual flush button by pressing down on blue tab and removing from side of tank
1:22 8. Unfasten water supply hose nut and remove from flush valve
1:40 9. Remove battery pack clip from flush valve
1:46 10. Twist flush valve counterclockwise about a quarter turn and pull up to remove from tank
2:00 11. To also replace the base, start by using the attachment handle to unfasten both tank-to-bowl nuts (If not, skip to step 19)
2:30 12. Remove tank from bowl
2:38 13. Using channel locks, unfasten the mounting base from the flush valve
3:14 14. Remove flush valve from tank
3:23 15. Insert new flush valve into opening
3:43 16. Fasten mounting base onto flush valve and secure with channel locks
3:56 17. Return tank to bowl
4:09 18. Fasten bolts with nuts using the attachment handle
4:23 19. Insert new flush valve into flush valve base and turn clockwise about a quarter turn until it stops
4:39 20. Reconnect manual flush button
4:53 21. Fasten water supply hose nut to the flush valve
5:09 22. Reattach battery pack clip to the flush valve
5:20 23. Reconnect refill tube to overflow
5:29 24. Insert battery pack to battery clip and reconnect to flush valve
5:47 25. Cover tank with lid
5:52 26. Reconnect water supply

I'm having an issue with mine, we got three at my property, one works, but the other two constantly flow water through the toilet. As soon as I turn the water on, the flush valve pulls up and stays open. Is it possible to fix or do I need to replace both of these brand new flush valve assemblies?

I'm trying to install a bidet spray and I need to empty the tank. But when I shut off the water supply line, it won't flush. Why? How do I empty the top tank completely of water??

Hello sir I just replaced with that new style. It was the whole tank and new fixture. However, it won't flush no matter what I do or how I do it. Any ideas? Maybe lift the stoper some how stuck maybe?

@@americanstandardhi we installed these toilets in our house . We have one which is constantly feeding water to the bowl .. a plumber came by and told us the toilet has to be replaced . Any suggestions ?

Hi we installed your touchless toilets and now its constantly feeding water into the toilet .
