I love how we completely accept that all space ships that meet in space somehow agree on which direction is "up" and which direction is "down" --as if they are meeting at sea on a planet.
To be fair, you kind of would have an arbitrary "polar" north. I've read sci fi books that have the AI's auto designate up & down and where 0 on the "compass" is so you can actually give "directions" and orders that make sense regardless of your position. Obviously, you're right in that you could go "north" upside down and it'd have no relevance.
@jonny-b4954 also, while there's no "up" or "down" things can still have a top and bottom, such as the galaxy which is disc shaped, and while they don't use cardinal directions, they do have the galaxy divided into quardrents which can be used in the same way 🤷♂️
Apparently aren’t aware of the bulk of the planet’s orientation that we’ve identified in the galaxy. Only in STO dude... only there. In the normal series, althou they HAVE singularity cores compared to warp cores, they still explode normaly. Imagine them having the tech to show the suck in back in the day's.. TNG and early games where limited by the technology of their time.
In Star Trek online and it looks awesome, but keep in mind that original Star Trek is old, so its explosions are old too, but still better than Star Wars where there are no debris and Death Star fragmented to almost invisible scraps.
"No matter how tempting it might be" Yep, Picard IS the same as Archer and Sisko in his heart. That joke in nemesis "With or without the Rest of the Fleet" wasnt just for show or fun. And seriously? Just shows that not every actor is automatically a good voiceactor. Such a shame as TNG was my most favorite series and Picard my most favorite character.

@@Vanguard717 Your Star Trek videos just randomly started popping up in my feed, so I guess you can thank the YT algoritm for it. 😉 It's good to hear that his VA work was better in Armada as I remember that his performance for Elder Scrolls Oblivion (2006) was also incredibly lacking and felt very phoned in. The romulan starbase firing torpedos was almost shot for shot how DS9 fired its with the rotating launchers. Very good cutscene that fits the shows it was attempting to tie into. psssst... earth is in the beta quadrant too... the alpha quadrant is cardassia/bajor. Shure one could argue that earth is in it as well, but realy isnt.
