When Uhura said the words "to be decommissioned" I teared up, knowing full well the context. This was a proper send off to the original Enterprise. She lived long enough to usher in a new era, and the Enterprise-A will take her place among the stars, this time as an Excelsior Class (her original planned class). Her place, now and forever, is at Starfleet's Museum.
Well done to all involved.
When she said that you weren't the only one who did. R.I.P Nichelle
@@DaNinja60 Nichelle and the Enterprise, a more perfect duo I can scarcely imagine.
Both saw the dawn of a new age, battling against the demons of eons past, and served prominently on the front lines, not quietly in the shadows. They were front and center the whole time. And they both earned a permanent place in the hearts of millions.
At least she's in heaven with her fallen Star Trek co-stars.
May we never forget her for portraying the Enterprise radio officer.
I know this is going to sound sappy but I choose to believe that in our dreams there's a realm or a dimension where they become reality and all of these Star Trek Enterprise crew are still alive somewhere.
@@SicilianStealth I think that sounds wonderful, not sappy at all.
Still one of the best endings in Star Trek when
Spock says GO TO HELL it’s still one of the most iconic moments of this movie and the reference to Peter Pan and never never land is perfect 👍
hehe Amen to that
McCoy's line, "I'd give real money if he'd shut up!" ... makes me smile every time.
Best line in the film, I cackled when I heard it the first time, 100% McCoy!
Bet you wished you'd stood in bed.
The ending always reduces me to a puddle of tears!! We’re saying “Goodbye” to old, dear, true, & beloved friends…family…& it’s hard to let them go!! Everyone in the theater was sobbing…myself included. My heart was breaking. Oh, I miss you so much Nichelle!! To me, you were one of my heroes…& my unofficial godmother…I’m still crying…
You got that right. It's just like a family breaking up
Oh, how I miss this time, this era of Star Trek...!! Watch this recreation is like time traveling back to the best of times...!! There are so many uncountable stories that could be told still in this era and the years beyond... Unfortunately, if not for just the wonderful minds and talents like yours, for sure, this would just happen in our imagination...!! Thank you so much to keep the flame alive...!! 🖖😌
Exactly and now we have Deepake CGI, they CAN be told using the technology to de-age actors alive AND dead as Star Wars have done with Mark Hamill when a de-aged Luke Skywalker appeared in an episode of "The Book of Boba Fett" rather than going down the road of recasting the roles with inferior actors as has been done in the Abrams movies and "Star Trek: Discovery/Strange New Worlds".

You and your team have done an amazing job on that recreation. I love how you expanded the resurrection story. And it brought a tear to my eye seeing Nichelle Nichols in that iconic role one more time.
I have been watching the star trek franchise for the last 50 years. It was Gene Roddenberry's vision and the work of writers like D.C. Fontana and Harlan Ellison; directors like Robert Justman and Gene L. Coon; actors like DeForest Kelley, James Doohan, Leonard Nimoy, Grace Lee Whitney, Anton Yelchin; the courage of Lucille Ball head a little place call Desilu Studios to take a chance on some unknowns. But finally what may what made Star Trek what it is today is none other than we the fans.
Thank you for being a real fan.
That was amazing, and the ending was beautiful, always makes me cry.
The Enterprise must have undergone one of the most extensive refits in Starfleet history, one that rivals even her own previous record, in order to include the automated torpedo launching system and the new bridge module.
Ah I see why it was NCC-1701 now. Very interesting take!
Thank you Hike Animation!! An excellent job!! Hugs you so tight
I never noticed that Klingon in the background before. When Chang is yelling “cry havoc!” He’s looking around so confused lol
The "Big E" ambling off into the sunset under impulse.
Gets me every time.
Trek would never be the same.
Magnificent work!
Magnificent. Nothing short of magnificent. Thank you for that wonderful tribute. This was MY Star Trek - and I miss it like nothing else. Thank you for doing that for all of us. God bless you, and God bless dear Nichelle Nichols.
You don't have to miss it, friend. It hasn't gone anywhere. I still watch ST:VI pretty regularly myself.
@@Andrew-pr9xv You’re so right, my friend. Thank you.😊
This took me back to the Golden Era. Thanks be to GOD. 🏆 🥇 🏅 Wonderful production. 😊
Bless you. You’re totally right. For myself, 1990, 1991 and 1992 were magical years for Star Trek. I loved the 25th anniversary.
Nice touch with the signatures at the end
Nicely done and its great seeing the best Captain and best starfleet crew there's ever been in action again.
Wonderfully done! Loved seeing the torpedo moving around searching before it finally hit the BOP.
This brought tears to my eyes such fond memories and powerful performances and those graphics absolutely brilliant!! Thank You so much for this and a fond farewell to Nichelle Nichols she will be missed🙏❤👍⭐🖖
I noticed in one shot that the Enterprise’s registry was NCC-1701 and not NCC-1701-A. That being said, this was great!
On this reality the Original was not lost, check the other videos of his library.
Extremely well done! I can still remember seeing this movie in the theatres like it was yesterday. I cried at the end with Kirk’s log and always loved the signatures as their way of “logging off”. RIP to the ones who aren’t with us anymore. Miss you guys.
I watched 6 times in theatre and cried every time
I saw it twice and thank goodness I saw it by myself the first time because I was in floods. It was the same at the end of Generations when Captain Kirk was....er you know. Saw that one twice and it got me both times. So much so that I refuse to watch it now
Every time I hear that line from Kirk it brings a smile to my face and a tear to my eye.
“ second star to the right, and straight on till morning”
As great as all the other Treks that have come after, nothing will ever compare to my Star Trek and my childhood memories. We have lost so many icons over the last few years but I am so thankful for the beautiful memories that this movie will always bring.
Thank you for this great post
Once again, I love that in this continuity the original Enterprise (refit) somehow survived ST:III (or got better) and finished up the TOS era with Her Captain and Crew.
According to this continuity Enterprise 1701 was salvaged and rebuilt
Wonderful. I felt like I was back at the movie theater on opening night. Many memories were made that night. Thank you!
"...to be or not to be"
Always brings a tear to my eyes.
That look of fear in his eye just before that when he realizes the torpedo can find him though!
Awesome job!
I love that the Enterprise crew was just being slapped around and they were taking it, and Excelsior gets one shot and they are overwhelmed in concern. A bunch of selfless people on that ship I tell ya.
Remember that Sulu was one of their own. They may have been less overwhelmed had it been someone else's Starship.
I always enjoy seeing the BEST era of Trek revisited. All that remains now is when you recreate the Battle above Veridian III will you use the SAME Klingon B.o.P. explosion? Hmmmm.
THIS IS GREAT! It brought back the thrill I had when I first saw this movie.
Thank you for sharing this. 😀💯
Still to this day think it was a huge mistake not to give us a Sulu movie .despite how little he was in this movie I loved his character …especially when he was willing to break his first and new ship to get to his friends/family
Don't call him "tiny"😉
Excelsior wasn't exactly new, or new to him. He got her in 2290 after Captain Styles was killed. She was commissioned in 2287
Captain Coffee Cake! Sulu actually did get his own movie. And it does his character justice !
czcams.com/video/l4TC5wl0IzE/video.html
It would've been good I met him and got an autograph from him and Walter Koenig when I was 10 George was a nice guy when I met him at that age and he talked to me more than Walter I met them both after star trek 3 was released I asked George if the enterprise would be back in star trek 4 he said you just have to see the movie when it comes out but he gave me a hint he said anything is possible in space and he said I think you'll pleasantly surprised so watch the movie
Sulu was a terrible actor. Absolutely terrible with no talent and got lucky in a role.
Seeing the whole gang together one last time. Bravo.
I always thought the first hit on the enterprise should have clipped the bridge given the damage on screen
Also good to know that wire nuts will still be used into 2291....I'll stock up now in prep for WW3....there was a supply shortage 30 years ago during the Eugenics Wars.
Tears looking at the crew i grew up with; Good Times !
Awsome job. Love it. Congratulations to all who contributed to makeing this.👍😎
Nicely done. Good to see Hike is still around.
Fantastic nostalgia 😭👏👏
That was the most beautiful thing that I have ever seen. ❤
1:35 you forgot the “A” in the registry. It’s 1701-A
This is amazing! I wish I could do this. Hav you consisered doing a remake of TMP’s Vger probe invasion on the bridge before Ilia disappears
alt reality
Trek as it should be. The original and the best. 👍
Absolutely fantastic. My very big thanks to you for this magnificent effect of your hard work. I traveled back in time. Sending regards from Poland
Hearing Spock say those words 'If I were human My response would be GO TO HELL' after all these years hearing him say those words still make me laugh and I'll bet it got quite a few laughs out of everyone when the movie first came out in theatres.
One of your finest videos. Seeing Enterprise and Excelsior together did make me sad
Magnificent work!!!! A fitting tribute to the Trek TOS Cast.
We haven’t seen Trek like this since…….THIS!!!!!!
Brilliant stuff. These fan productions put current Trek to shame.
Badass. I love OG Star Trek!
Well done!
I saw Star Trek VI in theaters over 30 years ago and to a wide eyed 10 year old it captivated my imagination like few things since. VERY Well done and thank you to all involved, this is a fantastic recreation!
That’s simply brilliant!
Top work! I really enjoyed it!
The best ending that couldn't have been beat...All the actors had their characters in perfect form.
This was incredibly well done, and such a fitting tribute to TOS. 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
Once again, ABSOLUTELY STELLAR JOB!!! Thank you so very much for all your painstaking work in Posting and Sharing. All your effort and work is quite amazing. Steady as she goes Sir.
Steady as she goes….

Thank you Sir. : )
Well done. I teared up a little. Thank you.
Great tribute to nichelle.
Absolutely magnificent! A proper homage to a wonderful ship and its exceptional crew. You and your colleagues created a new standard for fan made animations. My respects for such great digital artists!
Such a wonderful recreation, and nice tribute to those cast members no longer with us.
Spectacular!!! Shot-for-shot, music synced --- seamless transitions---WOW!!! Keep it up
That was AWESOME!!! THANK YOU 💕
As usual.. awesome! I actually liked the sequence of events much better the way you did it.
It should have been the Enterprise-A but in a way I can see why you made it the 1701 Refit. The cgi looks good but nothing will still beat physical models. :) Sorry I'm one of those people lol.
Edit: I would have had the torpedo hits exactly like how they were in the movie, but that's just me. Also Cliff Eidelman's score a very unique and fantastic score. I love the complete score to this day.
Edit 2: This has nothing to do with your visual effects but one thing that ALWAYS bugged me whenever I watch this movie is when the torpedo goes through the saucer section and some how the offers lounge gets blown up. The offers lounge is NO WHERE NEAR where the torpedo went through. The officers lounge are those big windows on B deck below the bridge. It just never made any sense at all to this day.
I also noticed no A
That's not the officers lounge, the one blown apart on the movie is the DIPLOMATIC lounge, near the front end of the saucer.
@@ValkyrieMagnus On this particular version of the ST universe the original ship was not lost on Genesis, look for the other videos of his library.
Spectacular, as always! Thank you for this. This was the perfect ending of any Star Trek.
I loved the alternate scenes showing the peoples faces who knew that the assassination was going to happen at any second. Also bang up job on the CGI it was really well done. It 98% looks like the actual models that were filmed and I wish this kind of animation is what was used in modern trek.
The explosion of the Bird of Prey looks a bit too static and the cloaking sound feels odd (to me the distinguishing feature always was that the Klingons had a different sound than the Romulans in the movie era).
The cloaking sound effect was made to match the Next Generation era.
@@BrotherDerrick3X Are we in the Next Gerneration era? Nope, we are in the TMP era.
…and the explosion seen was reused in Star Trek Generations
@@greenbeacon394 Well-known reuse, yes.
LOVE EVERYTHING ABOUT THIS. THANK YOU. God bless Uhura she will be missed
Definitely better than the original.
Love when McCoy grabs the column of a console after a torpedo blast and is like, "This is fun!?"
Excellently done!
How I miss those people. From the 1960s as a grade school child. Through the 1980s as an adult. I’ve been a fan for over 50 years.
The new time line they want us to accept pails in comparison.
I’ve had the pleasure of meeting many of them. From TOS, TNG, Deep Space, and Voyager.
The Original Series will always be my favorite.
Damn it Jim!!You've made my eyes grow misty!!!
This is the BEST star trek film of all time - not even wrath of khan is this good
Facts!
It'd be great if you were able to do the CGI for some Star Trek fan productions, I'm sure your work would get extra notice but it IS a daunting task sometimes LOL!
One of my all time favorite Star Trek films.
Brilliant work from all hands.... and let's not forget Christopher Plummer.... Tak Bai Tak Bai Wow... just WOW!
I've watched this so many times but you've improved it, and making it even better! I love this so much that I don't mind admitting it gets me emotional as there are so many great Star Trek moments here! Thank-you for this from one fan to the next BRAVO!!!❤😎👍
Second star to the right and straight on till morning, Captain Kirk the hero
Beautiful! This was worth the wait! It's interesting how things would change in this timeline. Would the next Enterprise be an Excelsior Class? Regardless, great job!
And what happens to the Enterprise-E?
@@blairbrown4812 If this time-line progressed it would be the Enterprise D.
@@blairbrown4812 Worf became its captain when Admiral Picard went to command Starfleet's Romulan rescue effort.
I got so teary eyed watching this 🥲 RIP to all those who have passed on❤️🌹🙏🙏🙏
That was awesome when they came up with the conclusion. They ended saving the people again. Kirk did not want to give up the Ship right away.
Yup love how fans assume the connie has weaker shields than the Excelsior . What they often over look is just how long the Enterprise was under fire before the Excelsior Arrived . It more than likely wasn’t minutes it could have been hours .
Thank you so much for this, well done 👍👍
In a different Timeline?
It is the same Battle was your has remade in such beautyfull way.
Damn good work to all involved ^^
Thank you, yes this video was an almost complete recreation of the original movie scenes but with the original Enterprise not the "A". The next video will get its own story again.

Ahh haha
I haven't noticed
that was no an
bloody 'A' on the Hull! 😆
Ok now its makes more sense. :D
No bloody A...B...C...or D. 🖖 🖖 🖖
Tears in the eyes. Fantastic work.
"Fly her apart then!"
Peak Sulu right there!
Bravo. Subbed.I remember watching this film "The Undiscovered Country" in the theater with my then girlfriend, at the time. I now look back at it fondly, enjoying the experience of having seen it with all the original cast members, still alive. 🖖
Amazing work 👏
If I may, Sir. I like how you changed the torpedoes from Chang's Bird of Prey to the usual Klingon green...but don't forget they were intentionally using the orange-colored Federation-issue torpedoes to set up Kirk & the Enterprise in the beginning of the movie..
MY crew. The feels boldy go...
Excellent job!
Lmaoooo imagine the Klingons being all like , "Whys this guy talking all these human quotes?"
Omg I love it bro. Keep on keeping on!
Really excellent work! I can't say its better than the original...but it is different! And it is certainly not worse. Keep up the great work. Live Long and Prosper!
Superb. Absolutely superb. Captain Sulu would definitely have flown the Excelsior apart to help Captain Kirk too. He and the Enterprise crew would have followed Kirk to the gates of Hell if need be
Constitution Class Refit. Always my favorite.
Awesome!!! Thank you!
R.I.P. Nichelle Nichols. May ur brilliance, words of wisdom, civil rights activism&legend burn forever. Take care Uhura. Hailing frequencies are closed.
Good vid. A good proper send off for those original cast of Star Trek that have passed on/recently passed.
It makes u think bout our future of the human race. How we treat each other. Their race is done. Now it’s time think bout how/what legacy we want to leave behind. Do we want to leave a legacy where we’re still prejudiced against each other. Or are we for equity for all. Where our civil rights aren’t being ignored/overturned&companies aren’t allowed to monopolize?. Its up to u.
Not to question,just to think.
Outstanding.
The Klingon bird of prey destruction was the finest rendition and better than the original which has been used many time as we all know 👍👌 great work.
Nice to know, the Enterprise A did get to retire and end up in the fleet museum 👍
To this day this movie makes me wish we'd gotten a Sulu series
A Star Trek series with 1701-B and Sulu as Captain ST: To Boldly Go
Sulu did get his own movie and it was OUTSTANDING-
czcams.com/video/l4TC5wl0IzE/video.html
Lovely job.
Chang: "I am constant as the Northern Star!"
McCoy: "I'd give real money if he'd shut up!"
This brought a tear to me eye. Bravo 👏
GREAT WORK👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
Finally, not the same reused footage.
At the film’s climax Scotty was once again at his best shooting the Federation colonel disguised as a Klingon trying to kill the president, Valeris, and is unmasked when Worf’s grandfather says “This is not Klingon blood”.
Nicely done!
I always felt this was the way Enterprise should have went rather than her fate in III
That excelsior model gave my woody a woody.
Amazing recreation
When I 1st clicked on this video I thought it was going to be a 2 rate Fan Film..... I'm glad I was soooooooo wrong. Excellent !!!!!!!!!!! Thanks ............
