We explore the transformative power of IV ketamine therapy for mental health conditions such as depression, anxiety, chronic pain, and PTSD. With the gracious consent of our patient, we aim to demystify the entire ketamine infusion process-from preparation to the infusion experience and finally, the debrief session.
    What Is IV Ketamine Therapy?
Ketamine is a medication that has been traditionally used for anesthesia but has shown promising results in treating various mental health conditions. Administered intravenously, ketamine works on the NMDA receptor, creating unique pathways in the brain to alleviate symptoms of depression, anxiety, and other mental disorders. Our video provides an authentic, guided journey through the experience of receiving ketamine therapy.
Ketamine Preparation: The Foundation of a Successful Treatment
Preparation is critical when it comes to IV ketamine therapy. Proper psychological and medical evaluations are carried out to determine if the patient is a good candidate for the treatment. In this video, we outline the preparation steps in detail, including consultations with healthcare providers and setting patient expectations.
The Infusion Experience: Safe, Guided, and Comfortable
Watch an actual IV ketamine infusion. Under professional supervision, our consenting patient receives a customized dose of ketamine in a controlled, comfortable environment. Watch as we narrate the sensations, thought patterns, and emotions our patient goes through during the infusion. The objective is to provide viewers with a well-rounded understanding of what to expect.
The Debrief: Reflection and Future Steps
After the infusion, it's crucial to discuss the experience and identify any immediate changes in symptomatology or mindset. Our debrief session includes a comprehensive discussion with the patient, touching upon what went well, areas for improvement, and any immediate effects.
    Responsible and Ethical Use
We emphasize the responsible and ethical use of IV ketamine. The patient in this video has given full informed consent, understanding the risks and potential benefits. Furthermore, we abide by all regulations, including HIPAA, to ensure privacy and confidentiality.
If you have any questions about IV ketamine therapy, the infusion process, or anything else related to this video, feel free to ask in the comments section below!

Psychedelics, MDMA, and traditional healing have powerful roles in psychological healing with solid research backing. This is absolutely terrifying though. People who are psychotic or have a family history of psychosis, should not do hallucinogens, EVER. Serotonin syndrome, sudden, dramatic increases in symptoms from withdrawing medication, poisoning, allergic reactions, and assault, are all very real risks here.
Some of these neo-shaman are just narcissistic, half-baked, self-appointed "empaths" who feed their ego by feeling that they're special and holy people. Some are unintentional but many are intentional and knowing predators.

I always seem to go back to some sort of Egyptian hyperspace, possible anuaki origin or ultimately human big bang or the bringing or becoming of words ultimately primal birth of human kind. People should know that under the influence of things such as ketamine and other substances with psychedelic effects, we do not gain any new info out of nowhere. What we experience in that moment isn't the drugs, but our own minds. All the encounters and experiences you have that would be quantified as "impossible" have always been possible within us. We are capable of anything conceivable, we will always be able to heal. We are always fully capable and deserving of love.

    • @huetubery
      @huetubery Před 5 měsíci

This is correct and I would like to add.. FORGIVENESS is healing for YOU. Going into a psychedelic treatment will not benefit if an intent is consciously made. Trust me, the ego does NOT want to forgive, it only wants revenge and justice! Our media perpetuates these reactions in movies and TV because thats what resonates the most with its emotionally infantile audience. Intervenes Ketamine treatment is the quickest and cleanest way to the source (the 3rd eye, the soul etc). From there, you would want to process scenarios in your mind of forgiveness towards whom your most recent trauma would be from and work your way back in your memory during each individual treatment you receive. Would it be possible to forgive everyone in on treatment? maybe.. but then the clinic wouldn't get as much money from you then would they, haha.

    • @spvillano
      @spvillano Před 8 měsíci

@@shellirk2819 I attended a pain management conference back around 2005, where the lead researcher was working with month long ketamine induction and was moving toward trials with low dose ketamine therapy like this for chronic pain. Unfortunately, I lost track of his research, as I deployed abroad for a few years. But, from what little I heard, it sounded promising for pain.
Anxiety can come alongside pain, so there's a real possibility there as well - if a physical chronic pain condition is properly managed as well.
Bipolar is entirely out of my lane, so I'll not even consider trying to address that.
But, for something like guided therapy for PTSD, I suspect the effects would be excellent as well.
I do have chronic pain, due largely to scar tissue from multiple soft tissue injuries and a herniated disc. Had ketamine for one surgical procedure, which did blunt the pain for a fairly lengthy period as a side effect. Propofol had a similar effect after another surgical procedure, with some humorous stories to tell afterward, as I clearly remember quite a bit of the times when "he won't remember any of this". A joking nickname for propofol is "Milk of amnesia", which it sort of is, due to how it works. Although, in this context, it'd likely be like trying to swat a fly with a sledgehammer. Miss the fly, destroy the wall and table.
But, for either, I'd not dream of trying to use either. That's why they make anesthesiologists, as if things go wrong, they can go horribly wrong.

ketamine has a lot of therapeutic benefits, and yes it can be used for chronic pain and severe anxiety. for the chronic pain. it works by blocking certain pain receptors in your brain which causes less pain because you feel less. for bipolar treatment, its still a potential treatment, it has rapid antidepressant effects which can calm you down as a bipolar patient, just that its long term use and efficacy hasn't really been proved@@shellirk2819

      Its all BS.
All it does, is get you high for a couple of hours.
Once you come down, you go back to baseline.
This is nothing more than quack Drs, using language to con people into giving them their hard earned money.
Ketamine doesnt change the base chemistry of the brain. It augments it, while its acting. Once the body metabolizes it, the affects are gone.
It does not address the root cause of mental disease, nor does it change any of the imbalances of the brains chemistry.
They are literally just charging you thousands of dollars, to get you high for a little bit.
As weve known for decades, you can not use chemicals, to cure depression. You can temporarily mask the symptoms, but it does not correct the root of the issue.
This Dr is lying to his patients, and his audience, trying to create new patients. Using chemicals to treat illness, leads to dependence on said chemicals, compounding the issue. Not only are you still depressed, you are now reliant on chemicals, to feel better at all.
Do not fall for these con men/women, claiming a "simple", or "easy" chemical "fix" for mental disease.

I’ve had a horrendous experience with ketamine myself but in a different setting. I was spiked with it in my bottle of water and dragged into a men’s toilet by 2 guys who proceeded to undress me (I’m sure you can figure out why) but thank God someone saw them and and the security guys came in and saved me just in time! I was aware something horrific was happening but I was hallucinating SO badly and everything around me looked like it was was melting and really evil ( I honestly can’t explain how terrifying it was) I apparently collapsed and was rushed to hospital were they found that I had ketamine in my system.
I remember waking up freaking out as the staff still looked evil but It did start to wear off a few hours later and I was back in my right mind but I was badly shaken up mentally and physically and I ended up with PTSD.
Unfortunately they did the same to another girl that same night and she was found outside naked and a real mess bless her😢 The police wanted statements off me and I really wanted to make sure they were caught especially for the poor girl who was raped but it was So frustrating as all I could tell them was i was pretty sure they were 2 black guys but they had flashes of light coming out of their faces and bright yellow eyes with black slits so I couldn’t make out their features!
Thankfully cctv picked them up and they were caught eventually!
You wouldn’t catch me touching ketamine with a barge pole. NEVER..I know this video is in a clinical setting but I was actually a drug and alcohol supporter worker for 10yrs and I’ve seen it first hand mess up SO many people physically and mentally.
I’m so sorry you had such a bad experience with it. Like I said I understand it’s in a completely different setting but I do understand how it can affect people and I honestly believe your experience.

I have CPTSD, anxiety, depression and severe fibromyalgia from a lot of childhood traumas. I’m now 64, and for the first time in my life, I feel calm, safe and at peace while I’m in my treatments. My therapist is helping me take the esketamine treatments beyond the appointments. Since Spravato isn’t as powerful as IV ketamine, the treatments don’t last as long, but my depression is so much better. I have tried psychotropic substances and without fail each time has been very negative. I must have some underlying trauma that's causing this. But the best way I can describe it is as a black hole. I know it sounds ridiculous, but I have consistently (under the influence) visualized a black hole or gravity well of some kind. What's more, I feel my soul connect with past lives and even future lives. It's as though the typically religious notion of a soul that is separate from the body manifests as a more concrete reality. This soul then experiences time passing very quickly, and becomes part of all souls. Then I imagine this soul being trapped in the matter of the universe and unable to escape. Eventually it traces a world line that inevitably gets sucked into a black hole. Imagine if you will that humanity is composed of immortal souls which, being immortal, must be directed by the matter of the universe towards the inevitable end which is none other than collapse into a gravity well. It's like I then spend the entire rest of the experience trying to escape from this "fate" but also knowing it is inevitable. All of this has some basis in popular notions of physics and black holes, but also it exists in a kind of figurative space. It's a terrible feeling that I wouldn't impose on my worst enemy. I consistently leave psychedelic experiences feeling as though I am being punished for something, a decision I made at some point which I couldn't recall making, or couldn't help making.

I almost had ketamine therapy for chronic pain at one point. I have RA, MS and a rare disease that has caused several spinal cord injuries resulting in several incomplete lesions. My worst pain is in my sacral area and lumbar region. At times I would be in so much pain I could only lay on my belly all day all night for weeks on end except for standing from time to time. SoI had nerve ablation to my sacral and lower lumbar region and that made a huge difference in my pain. Some of the complete numbness has worn off in the most painful area but I’m still doing well. I would consider ketamine in the future if it is needed. My only concern is I tend to be extremely sensitive to medications. I am allergic to a lot of them. Is there a high percentage of people that have allergic reactions or adverse reactions to ketamine?
It looks like this persons experience is almost like what I would think being high would feel. I have read that hallucinations are common.

I'm absolutely shocked! I tried, in 2020 I think a monthish before the pandemic, the nasal ketamine spray for depression and I was insane and I didn't even have a full medicinal dose. The second nostril hit me like a freight train and felt instantly like I was spinning over and over and felt like I was going to throw up any second and felt paralyzed and was sobbing incoherently and drooling and couldn't speak. It was the absolute worst experience I've ever had in my life. I had words in my head but I could not form words to speak just sob and make noises for the entire time about an hour or more until it finally worn down. I cannot believe someone actually enjoyed this version of ketamine and I have been far too terrified to even ask to try any other version. I'm genuinely still shocked and wish I could find relief.

Thank you so much for sharing this. I’m about to start my own ketamine therapy next month to focus on healing and integrating experiences of abuse from my childhood. I had a question, though - it seems like there are different protocols for ketamine treatment which primarily focus on IV infusion administered by a clinical anesthesiologist, or oral/nasal ketamine that’s administered by a clinical doctor, but as part of, and witnessed by a psychotherapist. From what I’ve seen, it doesn’t seem like there are many clinics that offer IV ketamine as part of a psychotherapy treatment plan with the therapist in the room to help guide the journey. Rather, if you want to have a therapist there, then they’ll provide the ketamine in some other, non-IV form. My question is, do you think this is as effective? Does the patient get all of what they need if they choose either more control over the dosage with an anesthesiologist but no therapist, or less control over the dosing but more guidance with a therapist present?
Personally, I’m leaning towards having my therapist who’s trained in ketamine assisted therapy present, but I am concerned that I’ll be prescribed a pill so there will be less control over my dosage and therefore being able to take me in/out of my trip as needed.

I have two questions. First, is there really a ketamine shortage? A local clinic I’ve been trying to start this therapy with has told me for four months there is a shortage and they keep trying to push Spravato on me.

My psychiatrist as well as my therapist agree wholeheartedly that ketamine or other psycodellics would probably be a game changer. The sad part is that because my mental health has caused me to become disabled I cannot get Medicare to cover it nor do I have the money to pay outright for this treatment.

I'm skeptical of this. It seems more like a psychedelic trip than anything that would "heal" anything. Healing requires talk therapy and a willingness to actually work to address your problems. The problem with people is they want some sort of miracle cure. Something that they won't have to put in real work to heal themselves.

Hello! What you say is true; however, I wish every homeless (NOT druggies) person out there could have access to such therapy, it being the absolute BOTTOM of existence. In such a prolonged state (like the COVID GENOCIDE war upon Americans being 3 long years in duration) losing one's small business to an unConstitutional shutdown, then their home as a result ... if ketamine gets them to even recall when life was better, might be enuf to get on their feet to continue their fight for survival. Our nation has undergone a half dozen PSYOPS since its first (9/11), so the idea of being able TO relax B4 a counseling session would help a therapist help the patient.
