Because Asians rarely use shoes when they're at home, and also unlike westerners which have a workbench for doing all the stuff, Asians much more prefer doing all at the floor and squatting all the time.
The Guy Has skills but, I guess he's never had anything fly in his eyes? Safety classes are a must when grinding on metal ect. It only takes 1 time then you wish you would have wore them!

meanwhile I'm turning rusty old bus seat frames, sheets of old, dented corrugated iron and bits of 16" bikes found thrown out on the side of the road into garden carts because, frankly, it's all I can afford. Oh well, they work even if they do have a very "rustic" vibe
