    This was the first time I have heard Carlos speak in person. Been listening to Quiet Riot since 1984 and never seen him in an interview, sounds impossible, but it's true. So now the mystery is finally revealed =) Carlos seems to be a real nice guy. Great interview!

    Carlos Cavazo, great guitarist, one of the best interviews to listen to, and there aren't a lot of interviews with him. And 66 years old, mind blowing how young he looks, the end result of being an easy going guy..

    Carlos is a very intelligent guy. He's grateful for the Quiet Riot days but you can tell he's moved on and good for him. He planned his future very well

    Carlos is so cool. I've been a huge fan since riding my bike to purchase the Metal Health album in the Summer of 1983. Then that November, I saw Quiet Riot open for Black Sabbath at Cobo Hall in Detroit.

    Carlos Cavazo is one of the greatest guitarists ever and listening to this interview shows how humble of a person he is, Battle Axe is an amazing guitar solo, in my opinion that guitar solo is like no other

    I met Carlos around 8 to ten times when they would tour the east coast and he is always a stand up good guy who takes the high road.Knowing Frankie n Dubrow it had to be extremely trying with there bullshit to deal with and especially when Frank a drummer thought he should run the band and manipulate the situation anyway. Keep doing what you do Carlos!! Your awesome

    Metal fan, here.
    1987 was a year that changed life for me, heavily.
    I was head-strong(mid-teen).
    Long story/short...smokin', skippin', etc.
    I had a strong faith then, as a Christian.
    35 years later; 18 years sober, and 40 years smarter.
    And, I have always listened to Heavy Metal music.
    PS Don't Fear The Reaper
    to On Earth As It Is In Heaven
    Hair Of The Dog,
    and the list goes on! I wannabe.

    Carlos is a great guy who seems easy to get along with. I wish he had played with other like-minded musicians. Maybe the bands he was in would have lasted longer.

    Saw Carlos Live in 1985 - 84 ? Quiet Riots Condition Critical tour with Whitesnake with John Sykes, opening at the Oakland Coliseum Carlos was fantastic, Rudy Sarzo was still in the band, DuBrow had already pissed off much of the L.A. metal community with his mouthy bitterness with all the new bands were getting signed so quickly in the 80s, as compared to QR long struggle from the 70s, but irregardless Carlos massively underrated and a Super Class act that he wouldn't continue in Ratt without Warren DeMartini. Great guy !

    You know, I think it would be real cool if you could get hold of James LoMenzo and really drill into his return to Megadeth and what he wishes to bring back to the fold now and the band as he sees it now and the future for the band musically.. That would be dope not going to lie. Hes always an interesting interview and frankly I dont think hes really spoken enough since rejoining Megadeth.

    It was great to hear Carlos talk music and IMO a real down to earth guy kinda a salt of the earth kinda personality .a little quiet and humble with no signs of overinflated ego issues eerily simular to Randy Rhoads in that regard but actually the opposite from other players from his era .Eddie Van Halen and George Lynch two that immediately come to mind .

    7:54.This bit right here, regarding the Hear n Aid song Stars.
    "Well that was the genius of Ronnie James Dio, he orchestrated that whole thing along with Jimmy Bain and... uh, you know the other people that were in his band at the time."
    Do you mean Vivian Campbell?

    • @henrynegro8397
      @henrynegro8397 Před 10 měsíci +2

      Carlos doesn't really seem to pay attention to drama between bands. Apparently he didn't even hear about the motley crue mick mars drama until one interview recently.

    I'm actually surprised when Motley Crue needed a guitarist to fill in for Mick Mars, Carlos wasn't the first and last choice. He'd be a good fit in that band and oddly enough he sort of looks like Vince Neil now.

      @edlaw51501 Před 12 dny

      Didn't Carlos play on Vince Neil's solo album or in his touring band ? I seem to think he had some type of musical connection to Vince Neil.

    Carlos was such an Integral part of the Quiet Riot sound along with Kevin Dubrow! Kevin's distinct Voice and Carlos's distinct tone made Quiet Riot! Even on QR III I loved Carlos' Playing! He was it for Me! After Carlos left I just lost interest!
