I read that after the run in April 11-15 1970 in Winterland, when Miles Davis "open" for them, they started using modes in Viola Lee and Midnight Hour
Such a huge influence Miles Davis has had on music!

Some great advice here, especially concerning modes and scales ! I personnally enjoy putting some dorian, it gives some santana vibe to the tune ! Do you think you could make a video about Bobby's approach ?

Not a good video. There so many little riffs in the solo you could show.
Less talk more playing…. If the name of the tune wasn’t in the title I’d have no idea what you are playing was VLB. Doesn’t sound like any VLB I’ve ever heard. None of the leads sound right.

#2) It not that the lesson “didn’t work out for me” as it was not a “lesson” to me in the first place; and
3) If you think I am being rude you are in the wrong place. Put your big boy pants on.
