I paddle board surf, mostly NorthShore and Waikiki. Been higher above the water I see much more in the water than when I sit on a surfboard. I’ve seen tiger sharks twice around the bowls near Ala Wai and several times around Sunset Point. My surfing habits break a lot of the rules, I like surfing early morning and as the sun sets, I like surfing alone and I often go out on rainy days because the crowds are down. So far, so good ;-)
I dive off kaiena point drop off i see few big Tigers there. 1 Dont let yourself get blindsided 2 dont go by yourself 3 live the rule 1 up 1 down. If Tiger comes to you keep 2 palms on its top head, easy to redirect, juvenals r 2 curious, dangerous. Those buggahs follow you. 4 get a bang charge n hope u never u never have to use it. If all fails, Pray to the Lord. 🤙🤙 when your top surface, they know how to set u up. They charge you hard in split second .
Poor infrastructure all over the world. Which means human waste as in poor sewer structures. Islands or anywhere. These animals are tired of their waters and their world being invaided by pilau

As there are more people in the water it's expected Growing up here have seen sharks on the shoreline
