I'm going with White Shark. Because it's very rare for a Tiger to get that big.
That's the first one HE'S seen, but how many have seen him?
There have been a few Great White sightings off Portlock further out. It’s def possible due to the size, but we will never know.
Top stories today.. man out at sea.. spots things we know live in the sea 😂
😂 so true.
Only a matter of time before someone accidentally foils right into a shark falls off and gets munched on
The first shark he’d ever seen ‘especially that size’ 😂
When I was younger, I paddled. There were always sharks 🦈 all around the islands. So yes, you never know what's underneath you. But remember to be careful and always still have fun. Life's too short 😊
Pretty sure that’s a white, not a tiger.
Sure? HOW?

Like the guy said, there’s only so many large sharks that are known to be in the area… although he missed makos, it’s rare, but they’re around. It’s clearly not a whale shark, makos aren’t as wide as this shark was, they’re shaped more like torpedos & honestly if it were a mako it probably would’ve followed them, they’re pretty aggressive & have strong predatory aggression… you know how when people get stranded at sea and they talk about being hunted while they were in their rafts?… it’s almost always makos, to me it’s seems like makos enjoy the hunt. I couldn’t see any markings to indicate it was a tiger (but admittedly it’s hard to tell from this video) & tigers aren’t as wide around the gills as this shark is, great whites are. It could be a tiger, it’s hard to tell from this video, but it looks more like a great white to me. But you know, I only studied marine biology for 3 years, & apparently know more than the expert they brought on, so 🤷🏽♀️.
@@The.Hawaiian.Kingdom Well, based on my observations through many years of curiosity which had me going down a plethora of rabbit holes, I would say for a matter of fact that what you see in this here video is some kind of marine life.
Why does it have to be a white and not black? 😒💯
Oh !!!
OMGG! A shark in the ocean no way
Galapagos shark. 12fter banged my kayak big island. those one green.
One lucky SOB. Glad he survived to tell the tale.
I wish I had the money to get one of those big see through kayaks. Id loose so much weight just padding around all day searching for sharks, stingrays, and reef fish. Id come back looking like a boiled lobster tho. I wonder if you can fit out riggers to that kind.
I rented one in Hawaii, wasn't to pricey.
Omg shocking.. thats like walking into a random person house shock to see them.. no they are shock to see u..
That ain't no tiger, that's a great white
Well, not so much an "encounter" was it? More like a quick glance to me...
With my luck..after I saw the shark I would hit a chop and fall flat on my face...
Lmao. That's not a word!!!
Does that shark know football players taste good🤣?
He sounds so surprised that he saw a shark in the ocean. lol
TONY still cruising from Laie to Waiks.
Nope!
OMG A shark in the ocean…Noooo wayyyyy I don’t believe it.
I’d be interested in a story about a shark driving a bus.
That was a shark attack.
Just turns out in this instance that shark had terrible aim.
How in the world did he stay calm? Actually get excited about seeing "Jaws"?
He even have a shark on the tree behind him
So glad we didn’t see sharks when manta ray diving
Maybe that's your Amakua but the only way to know is to fall in. If you want to know just jump off your board.
Sharks are attracted to metal, jewlery ect... sensory glands pick up the metal. foil is metal?
The chances of getting attacked or killed by a shark are tiny but they increase a lot if you enter their habitat. It's like they say, ... You can't win the lottery if you don't play.
Pretty much a non story then
20" Tiger shark? They don't get 20" bruh.
TIGER SHARK RAM ME!!
Baby whale shark 🦈
? Fin ?
Good move , smart thinking !! You saved your life , that’s what’s important. Thank you for sharing your experience with everybody 👍💕🤙🫶😎
Saved your life? Sharks usually don't attack people and if they do it's mistaken identity. The shark might not have even been hungry. He probably wouldn't have died if he fell off.
@@Ffollies yes , this young man saved his life , and yes that is what is important 👍👍👍👍👍👍
@@karenmorita 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

Safety comes when lives are saved 👍👍👍👍
HUNGRIER
He's on electric airfoil board?
No electric boards are for wimps.
Hey, Pupule! Sharks live in the ocean. Don't like them? Don't go in the water.
Aaahhh ssshaaaddaaappp
That's his Amakua so he will jump in next time to give it a big honi and aloha.
They don’t get much bigger than 20 feet. Damn. 😜
Looking for food further and further out in the pacific since humans destroyed so much ocean life
Most marine food is actually along coastal areas.
Kill it
Leave the sharks alone they have enough problems they have support their families pay rent and not to mention “climate change “😢
The type of shark doesn't matter... Just another example of Marine Life trying to get humans to notice the pain we cause them. Wake up humans! We aren't the only ones here! This isn't just OUR home!
Ok crackpot.
Mother nature attacking back hard I don't blame her.
Leave them alone!!! You’re in their house. So YOU are the home invader!!!
Aaahhh ssshhaaaddaaappp
