LNN have always required you to not use each games unique mechanic like breaking borders in pcb, collecting ufos in ufo, no trance in td, etc. ofc you would want no items for LNN, they trivialize a lot
@@Hijijiriri Yes but a lot of the times it is clear that Zun doesn't really have LNNs in mind. This game in particular SPAMS bullets spams, expecting you to use the hammer for cash. On one hand, it is good design that the player gets lots of opportunities for hammer use but on the other hand, it makes LNN much harder. Then again, I am not an LNN runner, so what do I care :D May Moriya help Mino though.

@@oguzhangungor9117 yeah he has even admitted he didn't balance cards very much, he doesn't design the game to be played with fully ignoring mechanics which is apparent with how silly lots of patterns get in LNN. But LNN is a community driven thing so the same restrictions will apply.
My suspicion with the power loss being so harsh is that it's justified by some of the items that specifically generate power or reduce its loss. (Like Mamizou's card, which blocks your power from dropping below 3, or Megumu's card, which gives you 1 full power unit every activation, or a bomb piece if you're full.)

I challenged myself to draw every boss for the first time as I watched this playthrough (pausing to draw) and when the last one appeared I was so in awe at how much of a huge meme she looked like that I ended up drawing her as a smug chibi. Just her. lol
Okay so I looked into the story a bit and it seems that "ability cards" are being distributed around the tengu's marketplace. It appears that Megumu (a great tengu) and Chimata (a god of commerce) teamed up initially to sell these cards; Megumu gets money, and Chimata gets faith. But one day Megumu decided that the cards are too dangerous to distribute (and that she's made enough money), and supports the player's goal to stop the distribution of these cards Her "betrayal" amounted to informing the player where to find Chimata. Of course, Chimata will be damned if she allows anyone to stop the distribution of ability cards, which is providing her with badly needed faith. I presume this gets worked out in the end somehow
the stage design is really atrocious for any character that isn't sanae, so i'm excited to see how people route it out with the other chars for lnn runs! sakuya also feels a teeeeensy bit more powerful which is nice, but i feel it more at bosses and find her still really lackluster in stages
Final boss character design is so trash I love it. Extra boss is a little questionable too, but I like it completely unironically so idk what that says about me.
The funny thing is, something tells me that the community is going to require you to use none of the items for the LNN.

The spellcards and patterns in this game were the best part, music and characters though, were eh.
