Uno dei record più longevi di sempre, ha resistito quasi 10 anni. Pazzesco, ci è voluto un mostro come Ian Thorpe per batterlo. Quel record anche ai mondiali 2019 sarebbe stato tra i primi 10

Veramente a battere il record del mondo del ns Giorgio fu un'altro grandissimo della generazione di Thorpe e cioè Grant Hackett che il 23 Marzo del 1999, ai campionati Australiani nuotò due centesimi meglio, 1'46"67, e solo cinque mesi più tardi, il 23 di agosto, nella semifinale dei Panpacifici com 1'46"34, fu Ian Thorpe ad impadronirsi del record che , salvo il breve interregno di van den Hoogenband terrà fino all'era Phelps;

Look at the turn lane 1 ar 1:30. I can't understand how you can be so fast yet sucking that much at underwater. How did it take so long to figure this out.
