Did you try ProShot? Is it one of best cameras for Android and now I switched to IOS and looking for something similar but this one doesn't look as good as its version for Android.
additional question, I'm planning to buy a crucial x8 1tb, do I need to buy a Macbook so I can set it up prior to connecting to an iPad air 5? planning on editing via Lumafusion... is it possible just to setup the crucial x8 in a windows laptop and then connect it later to an iPad air 5?
I found Cinema P3 to be a lot better than the three apps here. I use it mostly because of the clean HDMI, three zoom buttons and the White Balance setting feature.

For the 1st question, lets say Moment app or FilmicPro, then what happens? Is the quality of video same as of the native camera app?
Yes you get the same video quality with filmic pro. Moment doesnât offer 10 bit hdr at the moment.

What is concerning to me is the stabilisation
While iPhone has great stabilisation but when using Moment app it is very shaky when shot handheld
But the same is not true for filmic pro it has better stabilisation when shot hand held

Yes you get better stabilization with the default camera app than on third party apps, it probably best to use a gimbal then :)

I think you forgot to mention that the ProTake subscription allows you to install it on 3 devices. This makes it a far better deal than Filmic Pro's subscription model.

Which app has the best auto focus, and lets you control the shutter speed? When I use filmic pro, you either have control of the shutter, or the iso, or the focus- not all 3. I'm looking for something that I can lock in the shutter speed, and also have autofocus as well.
With FiLMiC Pro you can control all three independently of each other, it is the best app out there so far.
@@BenettGraezer I downloaded the $15 filmic Pro app. You don't have full control. When I use the filmic Pro app, and I go into the adjustments for the iso and shutter, I can only choose one to have control over. But I downloaded Camera Pro, and that one seems to work way better than filmic Pro for the needs that I have.

Do i need to shoot in LOG? I hate that it does not allow for iphone stabilization. How often do you use log? do you use these filming apps or native iphone camera app more?
I almost never use log and shoot 90% on the default camera app :)

I've been using ProCam 8 and I'll tell you why it is appealing. First Beast Cam is by far my least favourite, it seems to take the base sensor readout and do nothing to it, no picture profile, no log, no flat basically giving you a small sensor look, blacks are crushes, highlights blown out(some computational iPhone effects can been seen from time to time). Filmic pro takes the base sensor readout and at least it fakes Log for some recovery. And by fakes log I mean it takes neutral readout and flattens the contrast, lifts the shadows so that you think its Log, If its really a log algorithm I'd be surprised. Moment also fakes Log but it has its own color science that makes moment footage look less Iphone'ish (That's a win for moment). But back to ProCam8. ProCam8 takes the iPhone Sensor readout (After it has been processed with the iPhone Computational science goodness) and it give you "Finally" full control over your iPhone video with all the Dynamic range that the iPhone can provide. Basically the ProCam8 is the best dynamic range and full Manual(filmic pro and moment are unable to recover this much DR). that being said it is recorded in a Wide Dynamic Range baked in look that is less color gradeable in post. I'm not aware of any other camera app that captures as much of that computational goodness and gives you manual controls. That's my 2 cents. Basically I would use proCam 8 when I need dynamic range and exposure control like real estate. If I was shooting a short film I would use Moment. As always if you feel I am mistaken please let me know.

@@HR-zg9ci ok I have been testing daily, Iâm back to filmic pro logv3, for best dynamic range go to the âresolutionâ tab and set tone mapping to local. Keep in mind that you may experience some automatic shadow and highlight changes when you pan. If this is distracting than change it back to global

Bought Pro Camera way back when for my 6s, always was a fantastic app well worth the $! Initially was using it for RAW (or was it TIFF) photos, but I stopped using the app when I got an 11 Pro and havenât really tried it since including on my current 13 Pro. I think I may have to open it again, have kept it installed just in case lol

I have BeastCam and I like it, except that you can't use the iPhone 14 Cinematic mode with it. Are there any apps besides the dedicated iPhone camera app that include cinematic modes.

I miss an app that can avoid the automatic sharpening. With Moment app, you can shoot flatter but it still looks like crap because the sharpening is still there. Put this out and it's nice. They can't be serious that you have to buy a 15 Pro series model to get flat/Log without sharpening :D this company ...
I'm using iPhone 13 with ulanzi macro lens and anamorphic lens... planning on product videos and some travel videos and editing on Lumafusion on iPad air 5, what camera app do you recommend? I'm looking at beastcam, protake and mavis... a bit concerned that I might be overwhelmed with Mavis, thanks!

Every app has frame rate setting that you can change. You then can simply choose your desired frame rate.

Filmic Pro ~ my go to for video ~ Until today 09.10.2022âŒïž we all know the huge changes with the expensive of the app. It's not that. I had a recent update, which also changed the icon and still the app worked. I just tried to open the app and it FAILS to open no matter what I do ~ so for me this is the end of Filmic Pro and so much for the existing users to keep using the app!
I have turned to the Moment app on my iPhone 12 Pro Max which works perfectly.

I will not be upgrading FilmicPro. The stupid subscription model is why I no longer use Adobe products, either. As a hobbyist, I don't want to be spending a lot of money on something that I may use occasionally.

Anzing video. I can't believe how can Apple use the CAMERA FEATURES to sell MORE iphone units all the time, but they provide a RIDICULOUS set of control for their cameras nativelly. Come on, we can't even control White Balance with the Native App. We should bash harder apple for the lack of such basic controls on an expensive devide like this.
