Japanese soldiers are told to enjoy their meal as every meal could be their last. Thats why Rengoku was saying delicious with every bite!

Also after his first mission or the final selection ( I am not sure) demon injured Rengoku’s ears and he was almost going deaf.

@@naimtrampow He injured his own ears, the demon he fought has a flute and if you listen to the music it will damage your nervous system so he quickly reacted by covering his ears but he hit them so hard that he ruptured them so he couldn’t hear the music

In the manga, when Tanjiro woke up, the man inside his dream was forced out. But when he left, he held on to one of those sprites and never let go, so a part of tanjiro would reside within that man for the rest of his days
Which probably translates to about a week.

The era in which Demon Slayer takes place is the Taisho Era. The most important thing that was happening during that era was the rapid modernization of Japan, especially in the bigger cities. A lot of their traditions were getting transitioned out and they were adapting more and more to western influence. Thus superstition was becoming more and more less believed in even in the rural areas where they were suposed at the strongest. That's why belief in the existence of demons was probably kept low. The devastation they sometimes leave behind weren't that farfetched and wouldn't have been enough evidence either in regards of the rural areas, because even back then despite the industrial revolution happening; people still had it common with dying in gruesome ways either by nature or other humans.

Rengoko was not a sleep when he took out the demon.
Which demon
He was, that's why you can notice inconsistencies in the background. Like the people sleeping all being awake in the next frame, the conductor materializing out of nowhere to be attacked by the 2nd demon, etc.
Rengoku killing those 2 demons wasn't a dream. Those 2 were the demons eating and killing demon slayers on the train. We already saw the first demon Rengoku defeated was at the end of season 1.

That was just a sneak peek in season one. The demon didn't appear in the Manga earlier before the train arc just like in season one. The fact that the scene cuts off right unto them sleeping really tells us the fight before that was a Dream. The Movie slightly mixed up the Scenes but in the Manga, Enmu States how it is a Blessing to die in a Dream, once again hinting it is a dream.

No they weren't. Did you even watch the movie? Lower Moon 1 explained his ability, the conductor punches the ticket and the technique ACTIVATES. The moment the conductor punched their ticket, they felt the presence of a demon because of the technique. It's faint because it's long range and the demon/s were there to lure them into thinking everything was still real. The spider demon isn't even in the manga. If you look at when the conductor arrives, the people on his back are already asleep and that's why on the scene where they fell asleep, they were on the same seats.
@@rexarsenio9447 That makes no sense, it was introduced that they were sleeping by showing them falling in the water. Having them all dream together and then separately also makes no sense. And don't lie, I literally just looked up the Manga panels while typing this comment, and it clearly shows Rengoku killing the first demon and then they fall asleep afterwards. Just go read Chapter 54 bro lmao
im not sure but i think the reason why Rengoku says *delicious* after every bite is is cause: a samurai is taught to do so because no one knows when will their last meal will be. T-T

Edit: This next part is only a spoiler if you plan to read the manga, but is one of the many things they don't elaborate on in the anime. (I really think they should, because it takes out guess work anime onlys have to do)
It's explained in the manga that Rengoku has no reason to kill a human, so he doesn't kill the girl, but the girl is restrained and can't escape or kill him, and it keeps them in that standstill. And also, when Tanjiro woke from his dream, it forcefully ejected that guy, but the guy held on to one of Tanjiro's sprites so when he woke up, that piece of Taniro's heart became part of him. He quite literally had a change of heart.

Love all of their dreams lmao. It was really funny that Inosuke and Zenitsu tormented their invaders the most despite being the weaker 2 out of the 4.
I actually just finished the Mugen Train arc in the manga, just so I can be ready to read chapters along with season 2's airings
I just realized that the Rengoku ancestor was to first to learn the sun breathing from Yoriichi although since he couldn't master it like the others it becomes a deprivation from it so he turn it into a Fire Breathing then the Rengoku family pass on the knowledge of history about the 1st powerful Sun Breathing technique ever existed and about Yoriichi who wears the Hanafuda earrings those who uses the Sun Breathing

When Rengoku says "Umai" i.e delicious it was not random, actually in old Japanese culture the soldiers were taught every bite of food before war, for it maybe their last.
Girls, for your information its the industrial age in Japan, I believe its during the Meiji era or post-meiji era. Where the goverment banned the wearing of swords in public. That is why they have to hide their swords. Only goverment authorities in position held the rights to wear or bring a sword. They are not goverment recognized organization.

2) Someone pointed out to me that the dreams were their IDEAL dreams, which gives a deeper layer of meaning to Rengoku's. First, his father is still an asshole in his ideal scenario, showing how he has accepted that part of his family life fully and feels no ill will towards the old man. Second, his ideal/happy dream WAS TO HAVE THAT CONVERSATION with his younger brother. He must not have been able to say those words last time they met, which is why Rengoku told Tanjiro to give the words of encouragement to Senjuro.

You can't share dreams - they obviously weren't asleep when fighting those demons. They fell asleep as soon as the ticket punching thing kicked in, which was exactly when you saw it happen.
I saw this in the theatre and it was bloody amazing.

The first fight was not a dream girl's..They thought the demons rumoured to haunt the train died and Slept..But those were extra villain
But the conductor said he put them to sleep when he stubbed their tickets and the demon said that his spell is activated as soon as the ink on the ticket is damaged so how did it all of the sudden not work on them until they fell asleep of their own accord

He literally went out of his way to explain that his blood in the ink on the tickets was putting them to sleep under his spell. Tanjiro didn’t immediately forget and he was completely aware of it all for every dream he was in after this. Not to mention the fact that there were other dreams such as Rengoku’s where he was completely aware he was a demon slayer and Zenitsu’s where he was back at his place of training.
The dreams are based on what the dreamer wants to see. It was Rengoku’s dream, hence why he was so immediately successful and why everyone suddenly wanted to be his apprentice, with Zenitsu and Inosuke, who he had only just met acting completely out of character
@@ethanquirk28 I am not contradicting the movie..He made them dream by the ink after falling sleep..The fight was real.. every body had the dreams what their heart desired..I can't explain in details, you can understand what everyone heart desired, And the demon himself said it, He first shows Sweet dreams then he makes it despair.. He wasn't able to see inosukes Eyes that's why he couldn't made him sleep in end fight also...
Basically my point the fight we saw in beginning was not a dream, as Tanjiros sweet moments were before he joined DS corp, and From there Demon started showing him his dream...That Beginning portion was just To show how strong Hashira is..

You *are* contradicting the movie because it literally shows you how it works and you’re saying thats not how it works... when he’s explaining it, it literally shows you images of them falling asleep after he stamps the card and he says the spell activates. If you want to go into it, in the scene where he actually stamps the ticket, everyone else starts off asleep, then the ticket gets stamped, the light flickers and all the people in the carriage except Rengoku, Tanjiro, Zenitsu, Inosuke and the conductor disappear. Then, as soon as Rengoku stands up, not only to they reappear but they are all now awake.
But anyway, lets hear your explanation how just every single person on the entire train fell asleep at the same time then if he has to look them in the eye, even though when he used the eye thing later in the movie he announced it as a different move with a different name

No the first two demons are from Rengokus dream. When the conductor clicked the ticket the technique activated and everyone on the train fell asleep.
@@haveagreatday2635 That would make no sense because we later see everyone sinking into the dream. We also see how no one's dreams change so drastically in location and/or content later, and it would make no sense for that to be an exception. It does however make far more sense that the train demon brought along two others for the demon slayers to kill so that they would relax and drift off to sleep under his spell more easily. Also, the wiki states they were real, and I'm going to believe it over you.

in the manga it’s explained that the reason the girl didn’t die from rengoku choking her is because he had a strong desire to protect humans. how he knew she was a human? who knows.

Never gave repeat theater viewings to a movie besides Joker and that was just 2 viewings. Went to see this movie 6 times. Must really have wanted to be in theaters again

I will say it feels like it would've been better to not watch the trailers before, really took the mystery out of what the enemies abilities could be.
That said it probably didn't affect your enjoyment of the movie at all but it's just my observation.
