your grandpaw would be proud of you/to have jimmy on the road again/looking down from heaven/thats a great truck-tough as all get out-an it is all yours/wow/that truck can pull a big rv camper/be sure an pack the front wheel bearing-the grease is old an hard/buy discount tires on the internet/want be long until you and jimmy will be ready for a road trip/thanks much
Discount tire can't recommend them enough .... great service, good prices, good company
Gear Vendors under/over drive transmission! Lots of info online! I noticed your drivers side turn signal/parking light is out. The green turn signal indicator light on your dash lit up is telling you you have a bulb out! From your temp gauge, looks like the thermostat is stuck open or it has been removed. Get a new 180* thermostat and install! Good to see your transmission gauge is working. Simple Tire is a good online place to look for tires. Give you a idea of price, and they will ship them free to you door! That truck was set up to pull a big 5th wheel, so the tires will be heavy # rated. You can go with more of a light truck rated tire, if you are planning to keep Jimmy, but if you are going to sell him as a hauler, getting the right spec tires, (same as it has) would be best! Good first drive, and Jimmy proved her worth!
awesome Jimmy is back in business
You should definitely keep Jimmy sounds good I'm old school
The dashboard looks pretty good to have sat for a while.
It's not always a good thing if engines stay so cool. After a good 20 minutes ride the engine should be in operating temp. That's between 195 degrees and 220 degrees F. You might have a stuck open thermostat, what doesn't let the engine warm up to be in the operating temp.
That feeling when you take a old vehicle that has been off the road for many years and your heading for the road for the first time❤
So happy it went well😎 Congratulations😃🤘🇳🇴
That’s when you find out the front brake pistons are sticking and the rotors nearly burn your truck down.
@@White000Crow I found out the hard way on my 1982 Suzuki GS1100😄 The front brake blocked at low speed on the first ride for 7 years, It resulted in a NOT PLANNED FOR "Stoppie".. That did actually hurt bad😫 Stay safe, And check those brakes BEFORE the first test drive😉🖖
Truck is pretty rare even for when that era of GMC were all over the place.... For nowadays I bet there are very few left in that good of condition. Cool truck for sure
Good to see you took Jimmy for a ride. I love that old truck.
looking good!
Nice truck, Has to be over 10k in value... Rare and in good original condition
I'm stoked for you. I own a 72 GMC and every time I drive it, perpetual smile. Do not let anyone take advantage of you when you sell Jimmy. Solid truck in that condition, easily worth 15 grand.
Easily $15,000 I'm here in Ohio and there is a plain Jane 1973 GMC C2500 for $29,000, and it needs a little work too. also has high mileage but the engine has been rebuilt. So this truck should pull 15 or 20 grand no doubt.
Owned my 86 C70 for 4 years now and go for the shoulder belt every time 😂
Gear Vender I think is what the over drive is called.
Beautiful truck Nate!
The feeling in the tire, like the treads are separated. It's most likely flat spots on tire/tires from sitting for years...
Awesome!
I would definitely recommend putting a new fuel pump in it b4 it goes bad
Should be a Gear Vendors under/over
My 75 GMC had lap belts only, I ordered shoulder belt kits from LMC TRUCKS, they bolted right in.
Awesome...really nice to see it back on the road..might be able to get a set of part worn ..would be certainly cool to drive that over here in UK 🇬🇧
You can get a cab over camper now
I appreciate the content.
Around here that truck would easily sell for 10 or 15k.
Highly option truck in the day and you won't find many more, car guys call em survivors
I wouldn't sell it. That truck is low maintenance and will out last you if you take care of it. New trucks today spend their time going in and out of shops. I'd address the soft brake pedal. It looked like the pedal was pretty close to the floor. Might just need to be adjusted if the pedal doesn't pump up.
Gear venders under/overdrive
I'd say tires asap.
Sounds like there's a tow package in it...disengage, it'd downshift.
Can you imagine, theres been a report that Russia got negative 73⁰ celsius in some farther north west but still inhabbitabble town!
I was a bit confused looking at this Cannedian snow-less footage
How doesn't he have a gold play button yet?
If the engine doesn’t come up to operating temperature the thermostat might be stuck open
Wagner or is it a gear vendor ?
can we go get a happy meal I feel like i am 3 years in this seat looking up at u LMAO!!!!
The green light means you're left front blinker light is out
Did you get your Technician license from the FCC yet ? Need to get you a VHF/UHF radio in Jimmy.
No not yet, been too busy. Still reading the book though and learning as much as i can
Check out iron man tires they make great selection of truck tires at really good prices.
