Don't go overboard fixing up Jimmy. Just get it to the point it starts reliably, and drives well enough to be sent down the road. Let the next owner make it perfect.
Get some cash for that truck in quick order to make Rusty something reliable and nice to drive. Plus it will show you can make good on your agreement with the land owner.
What a Christmas gift! Two trucks and a means by which you can work, get parts, and do whatever you need to do. This couldn’t have happened to a nicer guy. I am happy for you.
Dude you GOT this...Nathan could build 5 Patches from the ground up in 6 months!
Also Nate, that is one SELWEEEEET truck. I can already picture you Rollin wit Jimmy.....and if you absolutely must sell him, my humble advice would be to aim suuuuper high Dude. That's one badass classic Chevy in amazing condition. Cool upgrades too!
Sounds like the land owner is a very generous person.
Sounds like the landowner wants him out and doesn't trust him to be responsible for removing his property"without some childish contract that has no real power of law. If Nate wants to leave all his stuff there nothing you can do, but Nates not Cut like that and i think it's insulting after all he's done that you treat him like a Tenant.
@@kigerkarlzeberedi1800 Apparently you have more information about this situation than I have. Maybe they are family of some sort. That would make since why the land owner would put up with this. Bottom line is that Nate is a TENANT. I assume the land owner allows him to use this space in exchange for doing chores as payment. Sounds fair to me. Otherwise Nate would just be a freeloader or a squatter. Now the landowner is willing to give him these vehicles in exchange he needs to remove them from the property. Sounds like one hell of a deal to me. Again I don't know the details of this arrangement other than what I see on his videos..
That diesel heater is hurting something bad. I've worked with plenty of them and none of them sounded like that. I think the impeller is scraping against the plastic housing of the heat exchanger NOT the case. A complete tare down would serve you well looking for rubbing and scraping contact spots on the impeller.
Ramp on the back of Patches for Jimmy :)
I believe that would be a bit too heavy, but i like your thinking 👍
See how hard it is for a good honest guy to get ahead in life, sometimes it just takes a little help to change everything.
I sure like those square bodies👍
that 73 would pull 20k$ on ebay just the custom overdrive alone worth 6200
I've had a lot of vehicles, but the one I regret getting rid of the most was my 1980 Silverado long bed. Only year with the big glass square headlamps.
My mind was blown by the license plate step
you need to get out ot there ASAP
Storage for the trucks! Hire a hauler and get them away!
Rust free WA/OR trucks are worth quite a bit where I live. If you choose to sell Jimmy you should do well. Hell, I might be interested!
I like your videos , like the things you work on. but why spend money on the 1973 truck , just to sell it.
The Dually is THE one to have. It looks very good . i had a 1992 new. I remember you had a little wiring problem in it.
I have a new GM wiring harness for the 1992 , i would give to you but im in tennessee . i think your 1991 would be the same.
im looking forward to see Patches when done.
plus he could get 20k for jimmy ,,just the custom overdrive on jimmy worth 6200!
It'll be cool to see Jimmy on the road and I love me a good trash fire !!! Just keep on keep'n on.
I do believe jimmy is worth more than rusty. Jimmy is more sought after than rusty. Plus if you tow with patches 2.0 jimmy is lighter. Just my two cents. In the end your choice is what's better for you.
@@marzsit9833 rusty 5k,,,,,,jimmy 20k
I love the fire pit you got going there very cool. If I did that on my property here in Arizona I think my whole property would burn up cuz it's so dry here LOL.
Congratulations, your revival of Jimmy video was what originally brought me to your channel and I’ve followed your journeys since.
Good luck Nathan, dude you have a wicked skill set, you should have no problem getting them going.
I'm leaving WA state in my 1995 Thor 32 ft MH for Arizona Quartzsite" I cant afford to pay rent' so im going rent free' and from there" who knows. But 20 years in Wa had enough rain mean people and stupid politicians. Now can i afford the fuel to get there.
underdrive keeps the transmission in 4th gear and higher RPM for pulling. overdrive lets the 5th gear/ torque converter to cruise low RPMS with no load.
you got the plan-now just buy 5 acres in arizonia /put all tools in patches-an load jimmy/then roll on out down the road/thanks much
And if ya can have some money back in your pocket it is a good news !
One more thing; in my reply to RTOAD on The Road, in most situations, only a high school diploma is required at most major hospital engineering departments. Nate would be an absolute perfect candidate for such a profession. Institutions such as hospitals, major universities, major office building complexes are BEGGING for quality people like Nate to come and work for them. Most offer excellent benefit packages, TONS of vacation time. Hell, when I retired from my hospital power plant job after 42 years, I had five full weeks of vacation, plus 7 paid holidays, and numerous 'sick' days available every year. Shoot, these days, most applicants for these excellent paying career jobs don't even SPEAK ENGLISH !!!!!! It's a sad situation. Nate would be an absolutely perfect fit, he has EVERYTHING required to succeed in a big way!!!!!
Who is the guy that owns the property where you live and how did you get so involved with him
Nice 😎
Nathan!! That is a Gear Venders under/overdrive unit! Those are very pricey units.
Call up your insurance company and tell them 3/4 of your RV just burnt up. lol See if they bite.
Good things are happening, keep turning them out you're doing good work, Merry Christmas KI5HZZ
Its a gear vender overdrive unit its mounted on rear of the trans for a extra gear.
I would love to buy it from you as is depending on price
Was that red ATV a Yamaha Bruin 350 perhaps?
I'm waiting for the crybaby tree huggers to start to bawl about you burning a cardboard and scrap wood fire
this also gives you a plan b if patches goes wrong you can get a trailer for jimmy
Good luck, can't wait to watch
Nice find Nathan. But more work...
Great Video..
Sell Jimmy ASAP! Get some cash
Hella nice man! Happy for you 🎉❤
congrats Nathan that is awesome
You should have sold one of them off
I am new to the channel what is the status of the GMC truck, has is been sold? I have a 1973 GMC super custom 2500
Still say you should have got the bus.
The GV od unit was near 2200 bucks when new, sell all the trucks and put the money down on a house ffs.
Gas is terrible towing nowadays
Someone gave you a truck that could be sold for 5-6 grand?
The bodywork is in good condition keep it put a diesel engine in it
Wasn't free u brought it from waste to being.
Where is your RV???
I am still willing to come get jimmy and drive him back here to louisiana and give you 1500 dollars cash for him. Will go up to 2000 if you wish, but no higher.
You’ll never get it for that cheap 😂😂😂😂
