Much appreciated for the high quality information. I have learned a lot and will watch this again in a couple of weeks to improve retention.

    Some buzzword meanings discussed:
Esg = environmental and social governance
E&P = exploration and production companies
Risk Assets = companies that are highly levered, or that have a lot price volatility
Opex commodities = energy and consumer driven metal (ex aluminum) commodities that are being consumed.
Capex commodities = cement, steel etc driven by capital expenditures, stuff that goes into buildings and infrastructure
Hyper beta risk assets are firms with cashflows that are really really far out like concept tech stocks, that are most dependent on 0 or negative risk free rates.

Been expecting 80 $usoil since April, myself..
It’s getting choppy this month because it’s been so slow to advance higher, crowding of bulls etc. but it’s definitely the current trade to keep an eye on versus spy and dow. Nasdaq is also looking like 15k
Not financial advice just my lil opinion.
Good talk/interview. It’s very easy listening to him talk & learn a few things along the way

Price comes before news, so while I’m long typically things like oil plant explosions & war provocations seem to coincide with my trades 😎

Oil has been a pretty decent contrarian trade for awhile, and I think after a little correction or consolidation from here it will fly under the radar again along with most of the other commodities and energy for a nice long bull cycle rotation

Plants need carbon monoxide from oil to produce fresh air for animals and human. Balancing the equation is a must. The problem is the forests have been destroyed, at the same, carbon monoxide has been increasing by human and nature (forest fires).

@@CmdrCorn They are high in large part because there is lots of CO2 in the air, which increases vegetative production, both domestic and wild. more CO2=greener world.

Oil is probably single handedly responsible for a quarter of the worlds population today. If you got rid of it tomorrow, probably all those people would have to go too....
Thats not how it works though. We never use less energy, even as we find more dense sources... Though I agree Oil will slowly become a lower and lower percentage of world energy for the foreseeable future

@@CmdrCorn Even if we could convert every passenger ICE vehicle in the world to a pure EV (a difficult and lengthy undertaking, if it is even possible), that would cut out only 26% of world oil consumption. When the oil has gone, so will have life as we have known it.
