- In this Episode I choose my Top Sci-Fi Fighting Fantasy Gamebooks from the 1980's. There's a few to choose from. Starship Traveller, Space Assassin, Rings Of Kether, Rebel Planet and Star Strider. Who will WIN?

Space Assassin would be my number 1 sci if book
The old artwork is so much better than the bland newer illustrations they use
I totally agree. Not just fighting fantasy books. Some of the newer gamebooks art work is really poor.
There is also Freeway Fighter, Robot Commando, Skylord and maybe Appointment With Fear. Robot Commando is amongst my favorites of all books. Skylord and Star Strider are so bad that they stopped printing none-fantasy books after that. A shame.
Robot Commando... dinosaurs and robots. Way ahead of its time. Great book!
I have 14 books i got back in the 80s playing forest of doom at the moment lots of fun for solo play reminds me of D&D a lot.
Yeah I would love to go with Rebel Planet too for its good storyline. Space Assassin would be second for me, followed by Rings of Kether
Rings of Kether is my favourite. Only because my Dad is called Keith and this book made me and my brother start calling him Kether. He didn’t like it.
Yeah rings is the first book I owned along with Island of the Lizard King. Great memories playing these. 👍

Robot Commando is sci fi... and its my favorite... followed by Rebel Planet
Thanks for watching Ivo. Robot is a very interesting book with great ideas. Way ahead of its time. 👍
