    I've been diagnosed with IST (inappropriate sinus tachycardia) in 2018 after a miscarriage with a d&c. I believe there's some correlation but my doctors can't seem to figure out why. I do have Hypothyroidism, I was severely anemic, I have anxiety etc. I've done a full cardiac workup (Angiogram, echocardiogram, stress test, 48hr holter monitor and a 2yr loop recorder implanted) I've rushed to the er room about 29 times in 2019 due to thinking something BAD was happening with my heart. I've since calmed my anxiety down after the full cardiac workup but they're saying NOTHING is wrong. I still have bouts with sinus tachycardia but I won't stop until I get to the bottom of it.

    Wow, I just got diagnosed with IST after being given a migraine cocktail in the ER that sent me into SVT. My symptoms are basically identical to yours. I just started my journey & would love to hear more about how you’re managing everything and how you got through it. I went from being extremely athletic to bed-bound in a matter of a month… it’s such a scary thing to experience & I thank you for this video.. it has really helped calm me down! I hope you’re doing well

    I also have this its a rare condition and more likely in Woman then men but im a man and also have it so i know how it feels it sucks real bad when your up walking or just getting up from laying down and your heart rate shoots up to 120s or 130s or even higher and it feels like its going so fast and hard that it might stop sometimes i feel like i have to stop what im doing and lay down just so my heart will slow back down but right when my meds kick in i can do everything normally without having to feel bad or worry it really sucks im on metoprolol 100mg ER and like you Corlanor 7.5mg both 2x a day and right when my meds start to wear off i can tell my heart will shoot up quick but hope all is well with you God Bless!

      I have inappropriate sinus tachycardia. Been taken beta blockers Bisoprolol for 6 years but its not working anymore tk control the tachycardia and I can only tolerate low dose due to already low BP. I started this meds 5 days ago and I'm struggling with it. Causing me chest pains but worse than that my hearts doing weird beats then I'm getting a dropping sensation as if my hearts suddenly flipped and dropped to my upper abdomim it happens again and again. Felt breathless on them too. Has anyone else had these side effects. It's so scary but so is the tachycardia it's so worrying as to what to do for the best. My sudden fast hear rate ruining my life ibhave panic attacks all the time now from fear of my heartbrate just spiking out of no where suddenly I'm scared everyday my heartbgojjg to explode or ill pass out everyday I feel like I'm going to die. This is not IST.... Is POTS. I have non-paroxysmal IST and I am at rest at 120-140 24/7, and I also have pots, which gives me even more tachycardia stand up or changing postures. IST must be at rest! 100 at least!

      @SCurry-gg2pn  Před 3 lety

      Yes you're welcome! I'm glad my video is helpful. The cardiologist I used to see mentioned a ablation when I first got diagnosed, but never again because he said he liked how my heart responded to the medicine (corlanor). I will see my current cardiologist next month an I think I'm going to ask him about the procedure, my medicine isn't quite working how it used too so I'm leaning towards the procedure.

      That sounds like a good plan, I am in a similar situation but I’m not sure when my next appointment is. If you ever felt like making more videos or maybe an update video after you’ve discussed the potential procedure, I would definitely watch it. It would be interesting to know about the procedure because I’ve heard about it in people with svt but not so much ist, so would be interesting to know:)

      @@sorellefraser888 I haven't started corlanor but my cardiologist is thinking I may end up on it. If the meds you are taking makes you feel like it's causing an arrhythmia you might want to ask your cardiologist to change you. Propranolol was a game-changer for me. The panic attacks and the sinus tachycardia go hand-in-hand. Sometimes the anxiety will cause a tachycardia and the tachycardia will cause the anxiety. They put me on Prozac and between that and the Propranolol I have been able to go back to work and not feel afraid of being alone. It took four years years for them to finally diagnose me and my sister lived with me for that time because I was terrified and literally not able to function in day-to-day life. After I got covid last month it pretty much set me back and the propranolol isn't working as well anymore which is why they're considering corlanor if my heart doesn't start settling down. Try getting on an SSRI and taking Ativan which I also take. It helps with the anxiety for sure and in turn it does help with the heart rate.

      @@sorellefraser888 have you ever had anaphylaxis from a medication? If not you have to reconsider your fears. This happened to me too! I also do a lot of research and watch a lot of CZcams videos on the mind-body connection. Sometimes you have to reprogram your mind/brain because certain pathways are keeping you ill. You have to learn how build new pathways. The process is call neuroplasticity. This blew my mind when I read it because I felt like I lost so much in my life to this stupid illness and I was done being sick. I am a single mom of three and my kids gave up more than they should have because of my illness and I decided one day that this wasn't going to be my life. If you can take ssris you might have to go through more than one before you find one that works for you. I'm not saying this illness is all in your head because we both know it is very real and debilitating. What WE have do is focus on what we CAN control. Look up Mind Body Connection neuroplasticity and neuro-linguistic Training. Remember Mind Over Matter. That's what I always have to remind myself. I hope this helps

      I'm doing really good! I can do almost anything now. My only problem or symptom rather is intense fatigue. Some mornings I also can't stop sleeping.. Even thou I did nothing the day before and slept fine during the night my body often requires more sleep. Currently I'm on corlanor 2.5mg x2 daily and Neviobol or whatever the name of the new generic for bystolic is just 1x daily. I take corlanor for my heart rate and my doctor says I'm on Neviobol so my heart doesn't have to work as hard. And lastly I have flecanide on standby because last year I had a random episode of NSVT. So I have flecanide in case another episode occurs.

      Inappropriate sinus tachycardia is sometimes related to SVT that hasn't been diagnosed. Some people later go on to develop SVT and sometimes the episodes of IST are in fact SVT. Sometimes when you have something traumatic happened to your body it causes certain underlying conditions to show their face. That's what my naturalpath told me because before I was diagnosed I went for a couple years with all sorts of weird symptoms and to make a long story short I ended up having ME/CFS which affected my heart it causing me to have episodes of tachycardia and eventually go into SVT. I had an ablation for the svt but still hv ist. When I ask them how is it I all of a sudden have heart issues and never did my whole life I was told by both my Cardiology and the electrophysiologist that I probably had these abnormal Pathways my whole life and usually people don't get symptoms until they're in their thirties or something traumatic (including surgery) happens and then it shows its face. Hope this helps.
