She is now the scheduler for the chairman of the foreign affairs committee. She graduated from sweet briar college. I am probably a much better person than you!

Funny, I can find no record or publication on this defendant's case being anything other than a DUI. A death involved would presumably have at least one newspaper article, yet I can find nothing. I found several sources that list her as a licensed practicing psychotherapist in the San Antonio area. Someone of that standing who causes an accident where someone dies would certainly have made the local news.

The arguments the lawyer made didn't have anything to do with the request. He said they don't want court proceedings broadcast because someone might find out where the daughter is/goes to school. Well, the motion should have just been "Your honor, if during testimony, it becomes necessary to reveal the current or future location of the daughter, can that location be redacted?" But I'm guessing the daughter's future location won't be necessary for what happened in the past. Right? The REAL reason is "your honor, this is really embarrassing and if we can limit the testimony to just people who can take a few days/weeks off work to sit in court, that would make the defendant feel less embarrassed."

It's true but video shows demeanour and potentially how remorseful a person is. I would suggest he obtains the videos and send them all to his lawyer in the custody case. He won't lose unless her allegations are true, and IF true, with her being a licenced psychotherapist, that in itself would be a sad reflection of her own life choices!

It’s not true I was falsely accused. Shalise Schnitz has told many lies and the judge no longer believes anything she has to say. My visitation was restored recently. This past September shalise Schnitz started a 3-5 year alcohol treatment program after lying for years in both of her custody cases- saying she didn’t have a substance abuse problem. She finally admitted to her alcohol addiction and is finally getting her. One lie after another, no one believes anything she had to say. She will not be able to testify if her own defense, she will make a terrible witness @ criminal case. She will have to testify in the custody case, she will plea the 5th to lots of questions.

Live streaming, or even somewhat delayed streaming, of US courts is one of the best things to happen in the justice system in a long time. What was previously quite an opaque, not understood part of the government system, is now much easier for the public to comprehend, and therefore trust or call out, as need be. To a huge degree, just like police body cameras, it is holding everyone involved to a higher standard. Lousy judges, lousy attorneys, witnesses or defendants who try to mislead the wider world about what happened in court, they are all exposed. And the wonderful judges, the great attorneys, the brave witnesses, the defendants who are found to be innocent cannot be smeared and lied about as easily as before. Just like police body cams, the good are protected, the bad are exposed. And...this woman. I don't have words for the contempt she deserves. Not only is she a murderer - because if you drink and drive, you know perfectly well what can happen, it is perfectly foreseeable. She also appears to be making claims that her husband is SAing their daughter. That happens. It happens a horrible amount. But 1. IF that is true, then she would know that drinking ANYTHING at ANY time, is going to put her daughter's safety as great risk because drinking can be used in court to undermine HER custody claims. If one is in a hotly contested custody case, you have to act at all times as though you are being monitored by a private detective, because there's a good chance you are. If they get footage of you drinking in public places, or buying alcohol - it'll be used against you, and therefore would harm the child you claim you are trying to protect. If you want to help your child, you MUST be cleaner than clean. 2.IF it isn't true, then she deserves to be in jail for that alone. She's defaming her ex. She is using her child is an unspeakable way. And she is undermining and harming every single other child who is being abused in this fashion and hurting their slim chances of getting help.

Weird argument though about streaming proceedings. We had a fight in the courtroom so we have to broadcast on youtube. Personally I think all courts should be streamed but not because there might be fights in the courtroom. Odd argument.

The arguments the lawyer made didn't have anything to do with the request. He said they don't want court proceedings broadcast because someone might find out where the daughter is/goes to school. Well, the motion should have just been "Your honor, if during testimony, it becomes necessary to reveal the current or future location of the daughter, can that location be redacted?" But I'm guessing the daughter's future location won't be necessary for what happened in the past. Right? The REAL reason is "your honor, this is really embarrassing and if we can limit the testimony to just people who can take a few days/weeks off work to sit in court, that would make the defendant feel less embarrassed."
I was using these videos for our custody case. It worked very well. Now her case is in the 399th district court with judge Frank Castro. He is a much tougher judge than Judge Boyd. 😂😂😂😂
She’s not so concerned to not drive drunk and KILL SOMEBODY. She shouldn’t have custody. Ever. She needs to be in prison. Never to influence the daughter. She was embarrassed enough not to drink and drive.

I just googled her she is a mental health therapist with a cps case and her own practice so she doesn't like this attention but HER CHOICES landed her here. Criminal matters are 100% public record...you are not special.

It's true but video shows demeanour and potentially how remorseful a person is. I would suggest he obtains the videos and send them all to his lawyer in the custody case. He won't lose unless her allegations are true, and IF true, with her being a licenced psychotherapist, that in itself would be a sad reflection of her own life choices!
Shalise Schnitz is my ex wife. Today a judge restored my visitation since she is unable to prove her case against me. She is the star witness and her testimony is not credible.the custody case is on hold until the criminal case is resolved 😂

the last time i saw a person in a custody battle that drove drunk, had a wreck that ended in death, was arrested. the other parent HAD to be notified immediately because if the child came home from school, there would not have been any adults in the home!

I just wonder if that’s true about the sexual abuse. Shamefully a lot of women use that to get the father from being allowed to see the child which is deplorable! It’s not true I was falsely accused. Shalise Schnitz has told many lies and the judge no longer believes anything she has to say. My visitation was restored recently. This past September shalise Schnitz started a 3-5 year alcohol treatment program after lying for years in both of her custody cases- saying she didn’t have a substance abuse problem. She finally admitted to her alcohol addiction and is finally getting her. One lie after another, no one believes anything she had to say. She will not be able to testify if her own defense, she will make a terrible witness @ criminal case. She will have to testify in the custody case, she will plea the 5th to lots of questions.
She looks like she is in shock. I would be too. Thats a good reason not to drive under the influence. This judge does not miss a trick.... Formidable!

Anything involving adults that takes place in court is a matter of public record. The husband could get the full transcript of this trial or any trial conducted in the country. The safety of others is more important than her trying to hide that she killed someone while driving drunk..

Live streaming, or even somewhat delayed streaming, of US courts is one of the best things to happen in the justice system in a long time.
What was previously quite an opaque, not understood part of the government system, is now much easier for the public to comprehend, and therefore trust or call out, as need be.
To a huge degree, just like police body cameras, it is holding everyone involved to a higher standard. Lousy judges, lousy attorneys, witnesses or defendants who try to mislead the wider world about what happened in court, they are all exposed.
And the wonderful judges, the great attorneys, the brave witnesses, the defendants who are found to be innocent cannot be smeared and lied about as easily as before.
Just like police body cams, the good are protected, the bad are exposed.
And...this woman. I don't have words for the contempt she deserves.
Not only is she a murderer - because if you drink and drive, you know perfectly well what can happen, it is perfectly foreseeable. She also appears to be making claims that her husband is SAing their daughter. That happens. It happens a horrible amount.
But
1. IF that is true, then she would know that drinking ANYTHING at ANY time, is going to put her daughter's safety as great risk because drinking can be used in court to undermine HER custody claims.
If one is in a hotly contested custody case, you have to act at all times as though you are being monitored by a private detective, because there's a good chance you are. If they get footage of you drinking in public places, or buying alcohol - it'll be used against you, and therefore would harm the child you claim you are trying to protect.
If you want to help your child, you MUST be cleaner than clean.
2.IF it isn't true, then she deserves to be in jail for that alone. She's defaming her ex. She is using her child is an unspeakable way. And she is undermining and harming every single other child who is being abused in this fashion and hurting their slim chances of getting help.
It's public record, lady! Get over it! You won't win custody of your kids anyway!🙄

5/20 next court date, Wednesday we have a hearing for our custody case. Custody case mostly put on hold until her criminal case is resolved.
