Yes just as @Christian Sanchez said, the Artist Special Edition set have new mechanics, not just alternate sculpts. Their mechanics are supposed to reflect the artist’s vision of the hero’s experience as they have gotten older
The Resistance bundle is more than enough for me. There were a lot of great looking reveals but the price prevented me from adding anything else. Maybe in the PM I’ll add something but I’m not sure. Minis look great and really helped me decide wether or not to back.

Marvel Zombies is THE game to get if you're even remotely interested in having a big roster of Marvel character miniatures. nothing that's out right now comes even close, and i doubt it will be unseated as the go-to mini source (especially for painters) in the foreseeable future.
i'm only a mild Marvel fanboi, but i am suuuuper hyped about this game. having all the playable characters as "abominations" in the alternate play mode is just a bonkers amount of replayability. they really knocked it out of the park with this one. :)
I am in for the resistance pledge for sure and probably will up to the hungry pledge. I did a quick count and as of this moment this campaign has 91 Kickstarter exclusive (5 more if you include the Sentinal Strike expansion) mini's with another day to go. That Hungry pledge is looking pretty tempting.
I think the sentinels are good at giving those galactus vibes without paying Galactus price tag

Just a heads up bc I did the same thing. I believe each core box comes with a set of dice.
The artist edition heroes have different abilities based on the comics they're from, so their gameplay varies too.

I'm at hungry.... really thinking about an extra base pledge to get doubles of all the stretch miniatures... because I'm terrible at painting and think I'll need the option for a do-over.
Are you also getting the Tile Set? I think it is needed to play a single game with all the floors of the x-mansion. I think there are three floors for the mansion and since the board is double-sided, the extra tiles are needed to play the entire mansion without flipping the board tiles while playing the game.

Hi mate, good video, very informative. We actually came up with a different recommendation for this KS. If you're an casual player, you get a long way just with the core game and the KS exclusives. For board game groups the resistance pledge + sinister six, then you have all 3 play modes and enoguh miniatures and tiles for a very long time.
I think that is a very smart move. Getting all the best values.

I’m passing on this one as I pledged on undead or alive and I think that is enough for me personally. The price point to amount I will play ratio doesn’t stack up well for me personally, but I do hope everyone enjoys their copy as I can clearly see the appeal if you’re a marvel fan.

The best value pledge was only the core box + sentinels expansion (because its ks exclusive), the hero box expansion doesnt add any exclusives, so its better just wait to grab it on retail.
Also agree that when you're already looking at 290 for the pvp mode, and that pvp mode wouldn't be the same without the stretch goals, that the mini all in isn't too far off and should be considered
290 is the real sweet spot. Anything more is overkill, diminishing marginal return, and you won’t miss it. It’s already too much to process and paint just at 290. Let go of FOMO it never ends, be free my bird friends.

I'm torn between the resistance and the hungry tiers myself, galactus is just too big imo haha but looks fantastic

Very informative, great breakdown. Sometimes these KS pages are so bloated it's hard to tell what is what but you really helped clear it up. Never played Zombicide but have an interest in it. I pledged $1 to get access to the PM later on to see if I still want to buy it after getting some time in on Table top simulator and watching gameplay vids.
That's the best thing you can do. Plus it lets fomo die down a bit and you can come back later.
These minis can be a perfect fit in a tactical style game.
Or if you want to sub in marvel zombies for enemies in RPG games
This game is worth it for the minis alone. They are incredible and I love that they blinged out the bases on the minis as well.
I'm pretty sure on their live stream they said the Art box characters all have different gameplay mechanics than their original counter parts

So it depends on what other expansions you're also getting. I believe the more expansions you buy that have tiles the less value this will have overall. Although, it does add a lot more variety in your game experience. If I was a coreset only person I would highly consider it.

As much as I like the Hungry pledge, I know that future me will regret being so overloaded with stuff. I was going for Resistance only, but I just have to add that Sinister Six box. Will stop at that point and say no to FOMO. Knowing CMON they will make Season 2 and so I am setting my own precedent now before I fall into the rabbit hole.

While I am not getting this game, I do appreciate the info in this vid though. I personally want a Marvel Dungeon Crawl like game just against villains. The zombie aspect of this is whats making me not want it.

I love that you pronounce CMON (instead of c'mon, come on, the presumed way they intended) as SEA-MON. Like semen. It's a nice little slap on the face that I believe CMON games deserves.
