Switched iPhone 12 Pro Max to 14 Pro Max, and it’s not worth it.. better wait for 15 Pro Max or even iPhone 16 Pro Max. I Think 3-4 years to change your iPhone Pro series to new model it’s 2020+ reality. This all new little things they are gonna catch us, are really not important in basic usage. Nowadays models are maybe 10% better then they previous models.
I have had the 12 ProMax (256GB) since launch in 2020 and use it every day numerous times a day. This phone is still just as snappy/responsive and the camera is still outstanding in 2023. My only problem was that I have had to replace the battery (to be fair, I am a heavy user) once.
You’ll likely not NEED to upgrade until the iPhone 16 or possibly 17.
Lol iphone 15 and watch big deference when comes in months left

I just got a 6.1” 12 Pro. Unless you’re desperate for the brand new tech, you can’t go wrong with the refurbished or used iPhone market.. anything from the XS Max to 12 Pros is a great catch at the right price.
how is the battery life?
@@ajejebrazorf9475 It does its job. If you have to charge your phone for a bit when you get home from work and take a shower, eat dinner and get ready to chill in bed or watching tv, I think its a good battery cause it at least covered you at work or wherever you were.
People are getting so used to not having to charge their phones until the next day, and it has put a bad reputation on phones that need that extra charge before or during sleep.
@@walterdbrown yeah thats why im in conflict between the 12 pro or the 13 , i prefer the 12 cause of looks but man the 13's battery lasts a lot
@@ajejebrazorf9475 tbh having used both.. You feel safe with the 13's battery, but the 12 Pro will work for you very similar to it.

I recently got my 12PM by choosing a premium option from refurbished, it works and looks brand new. Almost a month of my usage soon and it still works and performs good. It’s also my first refurbished phone lol, had a great experience overall. Way faster than my old phones 7+ and XR.

Just bought a second hand one for $450 256gb. Been wanting to buy the newest one but couldn’t pull the trigger as it is quite an investment (new one here cost equivalent to usd $1,600). Major upgrade from my entry level android phone for sure. And I mean you can really tell it is a premium product when in your hand.

I bought iPhone 12 pro max (gold) in June and all i want to say is it’s a good phone ✨
Definite bias because I am using a 12PM that I purchased as a refurb end of 2022 and it’s definitely worth it. Pacific blue oddly enough is a nicer aesthetic than the new titanium blue on the 15 imo. Performance wise, unless you’re doing very intensive activities on your phone from a filming and media perspective, it’s not an issue. Even then, you likely won’t notice too much of a drop off. And compare the stats to base 14s or even non-pro 15s and you’ll be shocked. Those still running 60FPS, improved battery sure, but again, mine is fine and you can save $1k and still bump up to a 256+. Oh, and if you think you need dynamic island, then kudos to you. I’m fine until they drop a “pro” and give the form factor a shakeup, which usually only happens once a decade or so (see iPhone X). That’s my opinion, to each their own. To add, I worked for a telco for over a decade and had new devices 6-8 months before they were in market for every Android, and even Apple at day of announcement, so needless to say, I’ve lived in the future of devices and now that I still have the perk of not paying a phone bill, I can justify purchasing devices outright and calling it a day (would never sign a contract, but I worked on the inside, so either call me jaded or intelligent, your pick). 🍻
Good videos, Nick! I have a Samsung S20 FE, and its a great phone, which runs well and will easily last me for another few years. But I am really interested in moving over to iPhone. Right now my carrier runs the 12 Pro Max real cheap over 24 months (vs. buying outright). One reason I want this phone is the larger screen, and extra zoom camera. I think I will enjoy moving to the iPhone and the reasonable cost of the 12 Pro Max is appealing.

I continue to rock my 12 Pro Max and it is still an awesome phone without the newer features that the 13 and 14 has.

Went to the pawn shop in my town they had a 13 that was shattered front and back and would've costed $300-500 to repair the glass. And then they pulled the 12 pro max out, it was $600 ($660) so I paid $200 down to have it put on layaway so I can pay it off this Thursday when I get paid. I owe $466 so I'm really ready for it! I can't wait to see what this phone can do for me

Because I have a iPhone XR which is 6,1 inches i think pro max is perfect 6,7 inches and a good camera iPhone 6 to iPhone XR to iPhone 12 Pro Max happy with that
Essentially the iPhone 12 Pro Max is the Same as the 14 just slightly different cameras
Battery life difference is huge, also the refresh rate is the main thing for me. Anything else I can get used to, but that 120hz…

Yeah, me too. I love this phone. There is really no reason to buy the new phone. Apple still sells the iphone 12. I expect another 5-7 years of support.
I have an iPhone 12 pro max and the phone is amazing, only 2 things that I don't like about it tho, the battery life isn't good enough for me (I'm a really heavy user) and it doesn't have pro res (120hz) but other than that I love the phone! PS The battery life of the phone seems to get worse quicker after a battery change in my experience. Dropped to 94% health in 6 months right now whereas it was sitting at 99-98% in the first 6 months of using the phone when it came out.

It feels like 90 tho…. It honestly feels smoother than my android at the same price point running 120 because it doesn’t run 120 consistently. This is butter smooth across everything. Gaming while feeling like a 90hz is better than my android playing at 40 to 50hz from the data showing ehhhh this screen is t to bad. I had the same fear too!!!!
Only useful for scrolling,tried high fps gaming on 13 pro ,phone heats like hell. Better get a pc for that

dont buy it, 12 pro max got insane problem with overheating and dimming screen to a black screen.. basically in summer almost any task even light ones are not possible and even higher tasks like gaming in a colder climate it will still dim. Avoid it and buy 13 or 14 pro max that got it sorted out using battery saver. Had it for two years it was biggest pain that screen. 12 pro got less of an issue, but 12 pro max .. I've warned you
I've had mine since around March of last year and I have not had this problem
Mine only dims when I increase the graphical settings within games, max out my brightness, AND plug it in to charge all at the same time.
@@xyro77 if you live in a colder climate you can get away with it , if you waiting for a summer or warm up season you will see what I'm talking about
Mine is perfect, never overheats or anything not even when gaming at high graphical settings... and I live in Mexico so you can tell about how the hot weather is... maybe yours came with some defects.

Im happy for you that your works well, but unfortunately this is very very common issue with 12 pro max ( 12 pro is a less prone ) , if you search on youtube iPhone 12 pro max screen dimming I think you can find many videos about it. Ive bought mine half way to the 13 pro max too, not one of the first units or anything from official authorised apple reseller and even they said its a problem of a display that heats up too much.

@@Ravill Apple really hit the peak with their 13 models. I personally feel if anyone still has any 13 models or wants to upgrade their iPhone, get an iPhone 13 model (The Mini, the base, the Pro, or the Pro Max)! You really aren't missing out on much and get the flagship user experience that is well deserved.
