It is yet another of Michael's straightforward routines (a lay person could be doing this after a couple of hours) but making it look like real magic. No need for knuckle-busting months of practice.

Michael is my favorite teacher. His magic may old school today, but it's straight forward and amazing. He was a student of Dai Vernon and it shows!!

I agree. He’s the best magic teacher of all time.
He was also a very underrated performer. His appearances on Carson show his chops. I honestly learned more magic from him than any other magician by far. His entire Easy To Master Card and Coin Series not only gave me the ability to make a living doing my favorites - but led me to the creators of the work. That leads the serious student to their books! I owe Michael Ammar a huge debt of gratitude.

You can really see Vernon's influence in the smooth and natural manner in which he handles cards. Nothing flashy, nothing fast. Vernon always was against showing off with cards in front of the spectators (he would be totally against "cardistry" in magic tricks)...he stressed the importance of showing that you can competently handle a deck, but still made everything appear natural. This is what Michael Ammar does.

I’d also add JC’s Super Closer. If you’re wearing anything with pockets, you can just deck switch to your Super Closer stack. No need for a knuckle busting deck switch. He’s a legend and the best magic teacher ever.

Also, which trick are you referring to? Bc I own every DVD he’s ever made. I’m actually going through them again bc there’s some BANGERS in that 9 📀 set! Same with the coin series.
But Gemeni Twins is one of my mom’s favorite pieces to this day, and she’s seen me do magic for 30 years.
