This tornado came within a couple miles of me, today. Thoughts and prayer to all who weren't as lucky as me. 🙏
Had one hit 2 miles down the road here in Conyers Georgia 3 weeks ago. Terrifying, even for this OIF vet.
Good to see people immediately running around scrambling to help others, prayers for the multiple towns and cities hit today and for the rest of this weekend! 🙏🏻

@@jesseochoa3214 The father, god, and son, don't warn you of tornados, or heal you after. The national weather service warns you, the storm chasers show you in real time, and the doctors fix you if all else fails. Don't bring fantasy to a real life event.

I was watching the radar, and here on youtube, at one point there were 9 tornados on the ground at the same time..or at least thats what i think i saw on the radar (radarscope). NE and Iowa got hit very hard.
I saw that there were 2 tornadoes that didn't get a tornado warning, but tornado emergency, 1 in NE, and the other this one.
Praying for these people who live in this community.

OMG. My cousin and I were planning on staying at the motel in Minden in about 10 days during our old guys road trip up the Loess Hills scenic drive and part on the old Lincoln Highway between Loveland and Council bluffs. I had talked to the owner/manager of the motel about the rooms because I have some disabilities. She seemed so nice. This is heartbreaking as I did some of my growing up in Iowa. My parents lived in that area for several years. I also have a sister in Blair Nebraska which was hit today and nephew in Omaha. They are all Ok. Prayers for all. I’m in Kansas and we get our share of those things too.

0:07 The building on the left with one wall torn away and with part of its ceiling collapsed was Minden's American Legion Hall. Five days before the tornado, my family was hosting a birthday party for my Mom in that room. Surreal to think that it's now in ruins.

People really need to think about getting a good in the ground tornado shelter built. You may never need it but then again these people did.
That's why almost everyone has them in the Midwest. It's harder to do in the south with the rocky soil but this far North, we all have basements.

IT'S DEFINITELY AN EF5. No. I despise comments like that. Let everything simmer for a while so people can clean up and recover. Once the nws comes out with the ratings you can fight over it all you want. No use guessing a tornado's rating especially when it doesn't matter.

@@FLORIDA_MAN_813There’s drone footage of minden that show basements exposed to the sun, though I’m not sure that Minden has weak structures or strong structures. The one in Elkhorn is very likely to be an EF-5, some well built houses were levelled.
@@FLORIDA_MAN_813At best, it was a violent tornado which accounts for EF4+ but I know it's nowhere near a EF5. Terrifying monster nonetheless and one of the largest of this outbreak.

Probably EF4. Tons of damage but not a lot of homes obliterated.

EF4 would be more damage than this. Criteria to be met is “Complete destruction of a well built home”
No it wouldn’t ef4 is between regular built homes complete destruction and well built homes only interior walls left, this tornado also had debarked trees which is only from Ef4 tornados
Very destructive, possible a high end EF4 or even EF5.
That's not a 4 or 5 or nothing would be left standing.
This is possibly high end EF3 nothing more
Because it missed the town by like grazed the town, the homes it did hit were leveled with debarked trees
@@gamingwitharlen2267 Well, this one specifically and the damage seen in the video is what the comment is about. There were 78 total tornadoes yesterday and some had lots of damage and some minimal.

Has a comet and other videos look at the trees around these houses them are powerful winds but as of this video the homes are still there because they were built better meet home today or junk overpriced junk

Tornado sirens are useless. Ours go off in our hometown so much it’s like the boy who cried wolf. When we did actually get tornadoes there was no warning at all.
It was one thing to watch this one on radar with a massive debris ball signature, but another entirely to actually see what it was doing on the ground. I’m seeing debarked/stripped trees and scoured ground there, but guaranteed the NWS idiots will once again refuse to rate it an EF-5 or even a 4.
You don't get a trophy for an EF-5. What the fuck does it matter to you what it's rated at?

Most of the time, storm chasers are not equipped with the vehicles nor abilities to give them proper help. that's the local authorities job. storm chasers are storm chasers, EMS is EMS. Everyone has a job. If locals want to risk the lives of themselves and the lives of the victims, that's their liability. Storm chasers inform the local authorities of the situation, and let them handle their job. If they happen to have licensed medical training, they will go help. I wouldn't want to be the cause of their death because I thought I was helping when I was actually hindering their help.
