It's time to buy an Electric Vehicle, if not for you, do it for the kids.
You will love your Tesla

I just took delivery of my 2022 model Y yesterday. It was worth the 4 months of waiting.
Congratulations Mike
I ordered mine earlier this month and I have to wait until June by I'm so anxious
Good job Mike, Congratulations!
How did you order it I did order teals and my order says 2021
It's awesome that you do this. It dispells the stigma some people may have about EVs and it teaches them about them in a real world situation. This also introduces them to the future their kids will grow up in.
Dave is an awesome EV crusader. His disciples are great and Shelby stands out.
I think he sounds like a salesman from Tesla.

New Tesla feature request: “chill Shelby mode” The Tesla will go “wo wo wo girl friend” in EV Dave’s voice when the driver goes 25 over the speed limit
Her seating position is perfect, no need to sit so close to the airbag.
Exactly. I've never understood when people are in a very dangerous seating position up near the airbag. If that thing goes off, it'll smash into their chest, not protect their head.
Vertically challenge here…Nothing like getting hit with that airbag. So thankful for my life when my airbag deployed (in a past car accident), but what a rude awakening.
But she couldn’t floor it
Awesome! Forget one pedal driving this was one hand driving. What a personality. Shelby took to the car in an instant. So many things came automatically to her- it must be youth. Us old folks take much longer to learn.
Careful how you define old :)
Nope. My wife and I in the mid 50s and we acclimated 5 or 10 minutes.
@@journeytheworld8848 unfortunately/ fortunately I am in my mid seventies and it takes me a while to get to grips with my iPad let alone my Tesla M3!
@@brinlewis3447 Not me I love anything techy and less buttons although the tactile feel still has its purposes especially now on the Tesla Model 3 stuff is buried too deep and you can't get to it or your a distracted driver. I know I can't text or call when I'm driving.
I'll be relying heavily on voice commands with my M3 when it arrives in 2022.
@@journeytheworld8848 M3 is definitely the best car I’ve ever driven. Setting up the car when new is the most important thing as most controls aren’t altered after that. I use voice commands quite a lot although some expressions are different in the UK from the US. EVDave is my main source of new info, especially his “teaching to drive” videos which I really enjoy.
I am getting my Tesla 3 long range in January, this video helps me get acquainted as to what to expect when I get my car. Thank You!
I agree with Shelby, it’s good to drive manual and get the feel of the car and it’s many functions, then hit Autopilot…and the accelerator of course. A couple of days and she’d be driving round like Ayrton Senna.
I am picking my S up first of week. Excited!
Congratulations Cindy
This is great Dave, I’m learning so much.Keep up the good work!
I will definitely buy a Tesla for my family.....very safe car.
Thx Dave. I learned some more short cuts!
Thanks for doing this, I'm going to start offering more test drives in Model Y. It's nice to see an intelligent EV enthusiast in rural WY!
People get a great experience in the test drive something can not explain to them
This is a really good video for anyone thinking about purchasing a Tesla and answers many of the questions new drivers would have on the go.
Good on Shelby! and this is actually teaching me how to drive my first Tesla! thx Dave!
This is exactly why I follow Dave, I'll have everything I'll need to know except the actual driving experience when the time comes
Happy New Year to this beautiful lady
I am looking forward to putting butts in seats in my MY LR when it shows up next year. I love these videos of Dave letting people experience the Tesla Smile for themselves.
The iPad with wheels analogy is hilarious 🤣
I just bought the 2024 Y. My husband had to pick it up in NJ because we live in VT. We live on a mountain so the roads are dirt. Right now they are basically all ice. I haven’t worked up the nerve to drive it down the mountain yet. Some sections are ice, some are snow and other areas are mud. We moved here 4 years ago and I just got use to driving in all the conditions, but now I have to relearn with this car. I’m nervous, but this video makes me feel better about my situation. My husband had taken my car down the road and says it’s actually better than my old 2018 Audi Q5. Hard to believe, but I guess I will soon find out. I’m just nervous as to how I regain control when the car is sliding down the mountain on ice or when I’m sliding in mud. It’s the whole not braking thing for me. Driving through mud is a balancing act, same with icy rutty roads. Perhaps I need to make a video once I figure this out lol
I'm saving this one to rewatch several weeks from now when I take delivery of my Model Y
Awesome video! Dave explained better that the advisor at my test drive. Only suggestion is to check the new pricing for Model Y and 3; YLR starts just shy of $59k + tax, registration & doc fee.
She is so pretty and she's a good driver
EV Dave spreading the gospel of EVs
I like the way Shelby centred the steering wheel right at the end. I always do that, and considered myself weird for doing it.
A friend of mine let me drive her BMW i3, and I got used to one pedal driving within about fifteen minutes. Surprised myself.
So Tesla don’t need sales people, that’s why they don’t hire them! But if I was an executive at Tesla and I wanted somebody to showcase my cars to just regular plain down to earth folks, I would hire Dave in a heartbeat! He’s like a tall glass of the best beer you can think of & for me that’s Miller High Life! Bravo Dave you’re a rare breed & thanks for posting this video, looking forward to hearing you in the next one! Cheers!
Thanks
It took me about 2 days to get used to the one-pedal driving in my Model 3. I was getting motion sick and thought I might not be able to keep the car!
Good video. You are correct about how quickly young people pickup on the difference. Did I understand correctly from your response in a previous video that the model Y has electric heater backup to the heat pump?
All heat pumps have an emergency heater, same in the Tesla
I cannot stop thinking about this lady she's so beautiful God bless you something about her
What I learned today- Tesla is a maintenance free car -only Windshield washer fluid refill required.
That’s not entirely true, Tesla fans tend to exaggerate, lol. Brakes should be inspected every 25k miles or 2 years, although brake pads last longer in EVs because of regenerative braking. Tires need to be rotated every 10k miles, sooner if you drive aggressively (tires wear faster because of the torque). Cabin filter should be replaced every 2 years. If you live in super hot climate like Arizona, the 12v batteries last only 12-24 months so you gotta keep an eye on that. Tesla will warn you though.
@@officialyasir ok.. definitely tyres depending on the usage
She's very pretty
I'm surprised you didn't tell her voice command "open butthole". That one is always good for a laugh!
@@HoosierCarnivore she's a very good driver
THANKS4GIVING
LOL @ 11:45 getting excited over accelerating 47-50 mph 😂🤣
Finally a better explanation of the functions. To many clips of the exeleration of a Tesla.
I was still waiting for her to floor it. I want to see the power which I never got to see i know she was hesitant to floor it so I’ll be getting mine Saturday I’ll definitely floor it
Be careful, it will delight your senses
Dave, if you were to leave your Tesla with a third party, such as a tint shop or something , can you lock your Tesla in “Chill” mode to prevent abuse?
Dave I see you have the cameras right and left when you back up, mine are no long there. Thought it was a software change, that just made it a larger single screen. Guess not. Also Phantom Breaking on 2 lane roads is still with me. So I dont use cruse or Auto steer when I see a Semi truck in apposite lane.
If you touch the rear camera view, and slide up, it should bring up the side views.
Swipe up under the backup camera to get the side views. With each software update PB gets better, hang in there
@@evdave528 thanks. oh I am hanging in there with my PB Issue and its not fun, living on 2 lanes. I called they want everyone to make a Service appointment then it will be in the record.
Hé Dave I keep watching your videos and I’m trying to figure out why is a black serviette on your datch why?
It’s velvet, it eliminates reflections off of the dash board, makes better videos
@@evdave528 Thanks for answering Dave,I keep watching your new video Good job Dave
imagine crossing you hands on the wheel... you should feed the wheel through for more control
From New York City 141 p.m.
I hope Tesla solves FSD but part of me thinks driving is too complex for a computer and cameras. Theres just so many variables that come into play when driving. Time will tell. ty
Your thinking at a very superficial level. Watch Musk’s interview with Lex Freidman where he talks about photons.
@@bigdougscommentary5719 lol. Sure thing.
Shelby is right - for generations of people you'll have to relearn how to drive !!
No you don’t. You can ignore all the tech and drive it like any other car.
She’s so pretty form New York City 3:35 PM
Good driving, just don’t over hype tesla!
What’s the blanket on the dash for?
He explained in the video. It’s to help with glare.
It eliminates light reflections off of the dash board
I'd rather have that Shelby than a Ford Shelby.
Why did you tell her the starting price for a model y is $44,000? It's more like $59,000.
This is painful, it's like watching a dad teach his daughter to drive for the first time lol it's just an EV! 90% of drivers are just going to get in it and go and come back, rarely every will they use more than the radio lol
There is no noise. You only hear the tires. But that noise coming from the tires... And through the whole video we hear the noise coming from the wheels.
Tesla averages 27 changes a week on every model to improve the car.
I cannot wait to get my cyber truck I'm going to take her home with me cook Spanish food we can have dinner together she's so beautiful and so cute she's a great driver by the way
tesla are very easy to drive
I like how old people getting a tesla thinks it makes them look cool 😂😂
she drives better than the CNN journalist...
That’s not saying much that guy was a plant
Driver must have never driven an automatic.
Teslas sell themselves.
How do they sell them self?
Does she has a boyfriend how old is she
I’d hope so
Good morning from New York City 11:33 a.m. yes or no she does have a boyfriend how old is she
@@evdave528 that's a yes or no

Just asking because I'm single from New York City 112 p.m. good afternoon
Tesla videos are competing for viewers. And there are not a shortage of them, becoming generic and boring.
