Awesome video. Well done!! Brings back lots of memories of my my 1992 Marquis. Awesome experience. the Marquis is easy to work on, plenty of room and forgiving, and parts are cheap. Loosen lugs, get it on the jackstands, wheel off, caliper off, remove old rotor, brake grease on the hub (not on the studs), clean new rotor, put it on, remove old pads, use wood block and C clamp to slowly push caliper piston in (this is the tough part, and hope the brakes dont get messed up)....clean the caliper, new pads on with that sticky blue stuff on the back of them, caliper back on, tighten, pump brake pedal a bunch of times to seat new pads, put it in Neutral and let it roll for a second and test brakes. Then another test in Drive with wheel blocks a few inches from the wheels so the car can still a move but wont runaway in case brakes dont work. then finally a road test on an empty road. I did new pads and rotors on all 4 wheels. Was such a feeling of accomplishment. the old pads were worn down a lot. I remember taking it on the road and the brakes were soooo much better. Pressing on the pedal firm and getting pushed forward in my seat. really a great feeling. the rotors were only like $65 each!

How long did this take you? I had to do all 4 sides because I felt the brake warping (it has been like that for the 2 years I've owned my Grand Marquis). Started at exactly 8 am, did the rears first as I thought I'd have to play with the parking brake adjuster cog (I didn't have to). At 1 pm I over torqued my bolt for the front caliper top slider pin so I had to wait 1 hour 15 mins for a replacement. Basically, I did a 7 hour shift (if I were in a shop I'd be fired). However the end results were pretty good with smooth af braking and since it's my first time doing brakes. Thanks for inspiring me at the end!
Sounds like you put in a lot of effort! It took me about three hours and working in the heat does make it tiring luckily I was under some shade. I'm glad your hard work paid off, and your car's brakes are smooth now! You did a great job!
