The howl is amazing when you're standing next to him and the echoes through the trees can give you the chills! Thank you for watching and for your comments dragon08!
Yeah that horrid howl really you could tell he was in pain and had been there for awhile. When they scream like that they are for sure in pain id imagine! So horrible these are beauty of a creature and I will respect a wolf anytime I see one. He was letting all his pain out on that leash thing.
Thunderous roars that penetrate your soul as does his one keen sharp eye as he stares in distain thinking "i dont back down from anyone, and id f%#$k you up if you just give me a one on one! "
Dogs definitely have an instictive vocabulary ! My male lab shivered next to me after hearing that wolfs distress plea for help. My other female rot mix started barking in defense after hearing that distress call by that wolf. Amazing watching my lab stare at that tv screen, watching that wolf bark and fight for its release. Never have seen that reaction in my dogs before. Very telling.
Daniel Lawson We are in Northern Wisconsin and we have a large population here and they manage to increase in numbers very rapidly. Minnesota and Michigan are bordering states which also have most in the northern zones of their states. To find wolves West of us would be in the Colorado, Idaho, and Montana states. Arizona and New Mexico also have wolves; and there are a few in North Carolina (Refuge). There are radios placed on many of the wolves for tracking and research but accurate population assessments are almost impossible, there are many more than the experts claim there to be.
Austin Roberts Austin Roberts, that is a strong name! Washington state would have very few wolves and yes they can be worthy of love. Thank you for your comment and for viewing the video!
Walter Roberts when I was watching this on my laptop, my puppy took off and hid in his cage now the my other dog started going crazy he was shakeing all over XD lol
That bark caught my dog's attention. She is a young Black Mouth Cur and it was interesting to watch her reaction - she alerted and was ready to go! She's a big goofy girl, but I don't think she is afraid of anything (except the vacuum cleaner).
So I actually have a Wolf hybrid with a Norwegian Elk Hound and he is legitemaly the smartest dog I've ever seen. Unbelievably high energy level and a lot of fun but also a lot of work.
That wolf had lots of scars from run in with other wolves and animals, it would have been a real shame for him to die by a few bullets while he's trapped...instead of fighting. A true warrior that old strong wolf.
@@phonecards1 ya because so many people get eaten while asleep in their tents camping... I have slept outside under the stars countless times over decades and as far as I can tell I have not been eaten yet 😂 please try to stick to the facts not some shit you saw in a movie once.
I love how they respect the wolves and didn’t just leave him to die. I also heard "wolf season". Is that like a hunting season for wolves? If so, then not hunting them after the season is amazing. Just like with any other animal we humans hunt, they need time to repopulate. What has made oh so many species go extinct from us is careless people not watching their traps and/or leaving the traps and not caring if a wolf got stuck. This is amazing.
Anyone who sets those type of traps has no idea what the word respect means. It's cruel and should be illegal. Hunting is one thing, this is just barbaric.
Because they wipe out other animals like deer, squirrels, turkeys, and many more. My family has 800 acres in the middle of Wisconsin and we went from having 200 deer and hundreds of turkeys to around 60 deer and maybe 15 turkeys after the dnr reintroduced wolves. They were almost eradicated for a reason.
@TheSkyWhale Whale.....this "moron" had nothing to do with what your jackass DNR officials did. Now, the same thing happened in my State when coyotes were introduced in a neighboring state to appease fox hunters who almost wiped out that species. They began interbreeding with dogs, feral and domesticated and quickly migrated to my State. They now are a nuisance beyond imagination. "Coyodogs" have the tenacity of coyotes, plus they pack. It doesn't stop there. We have those geniuses who deliberately released pigs to return to feral. Those, along with Russian Boars, bought and released here.....now, that is a real problem. So your problems are wolves...and JACKASSES, huh? Don't try to tell me about hunting. I gave up hunting because I chose to, not because I opposed it. I did, and still do, oppose senseless killing......just to kill an animal, for the sake of killing. I did not classify you in that group of people. I understand what you are saying about one species decemating another. For those "hundreds of years" you referred to, people hunted for food, pelts, bounties, etc. Today, most do the same thing, but there are those who "get off" on killing. My family has had a Beagle and a Black Lab killed by the cretins I am referring to. I hope you aren't of that ilk. I do understand your point about the wolf problem, and you are correct, it has to be dealt with. That is far from the senseless killing I weighed in on.
They attack and kill livestock. They will kill your pets and leave them lay. They over populate and kill all the game, deer rabits everything. That is why they are hunted now
I know right I was playing the video through my speaker and it was probably even louder I just covered it with something so the sound of it wouldn't wake my parents up
imagine hearing that while sitting I a deer stand, a mile in the woods right as it was getting dark. I have never wanted to be at my four wheeler so bad.
+Frankie Edgar I live near some woods. And I every now and then. I hear some coyotes howling and what not. Which Admittly puts me on edge a bit. But damn it's nothing like that wolf howl. Hearing that in real life at night. Yeah safe to say it would put some fear into you. Being back in the frontier days lol. Yeah no thanks buddy lol.

The howl of this wolf ... my blood froze in my veins. Trapping can really cause huge unexpected damage to all the wildlife. It is great to see such the magnificent creature like wolf to be released from the pain it suffered for who knows how long. I must say I do have some experiences with wildlife and wolves especially. I do appreciate what is shown in this video for this release is done with extreme care and obviously by experienced person. Great work, absolutely well done.
They may have had the trap up for a different animal but it's also possible that the season just ended and they were out to take down their traps for the off-season
I have heard they bark like this only if they are really scared, cornered or something, and it's very rare they bark. More of a growl bark. But boy that was loud and deep.
Walter Roberts You are welcome but I only said i respect you for showing that wolf kindness not for any harm you have since or in the past caused species
Just for reference, the whole "alpha" thing with wolves is a myth insofar as it's not based on strength or strict hierarchies; rather, as with dogs, deference is complex, and most wolf packs are headed up not by the most powerful hunter, but the oldest surviving pair from whom the rest of the pack (save for their mates) descend. That said, this venerable old fellow here probably *is* the leader of his pack for the simple reason that he's probably their great-grandfather or some such and taught all the youngins how to hunt. He probably has some serious stories.
you have to feel a little cynical of trappers or hunters posting these 'rescue' type videos ( in between their kills) and expecting some sort of a pat on the back for it......the 3.3 K downs show that many people are not fooled.
End Wildlife Services'Needless Killing Of Wild Animals it's not a "rescue" incase you didn't catch on to that. The trap was for a different in season animal so they had to let it go. I saw you're comment about them trying to appear as saints lol. I think you need to stop trying to analyze the mentally or agenda of the individuals depicted here. Wolves, bobcat and other animals deserve peace and a chance to repopulate naturally. It's extremely obnoxious when ppl try their hand at Internet psychology. It doesn't matter if ppl in the comments are gullible enough to comment thank you, it doesn't prove you're point and it actually hurts you're cause when you come across as a know it all comment section savior.
rounder I don't give a shite what you think, blogger, in many of these animal 'rescue' videos the men shown are portraying themselves( misleadingly) as saving the animal, while their 'job' or pastime is killing wildlife ' I saw you're comment about them trying to appear as saints lol. ' which means you're a paid troll, right? otherwise a stalker or unwanted 'subscriber' ( or both) who has ALOT of time on their hands to read peoples' comments posted weeks/months ago.
who knew that a wolf could manage to sound so terrifying? I don't if it's the headphones I'm wearing that gave me a realistic experience or not but every time it growled It left my knees weak haha
Why is it that in nearly every one of these release videos the humans are obviously dumber than the animals. I trapped for 30 years; released many animals domestic and wild, and never used a pole/loop.
It is a pretty awesome experience being that close and to a wild one that chose to howl several times! Thank you for watching and sorry it scared you, lol!
CAMERA: Jimmy, you need to be by Wallace... JIMMY: No, I'm okay!!! (meaning: I'm fuckin' scared shitless of that goddamn thing; I ain't fuckin' goin' over there) lol
They don't howl like that at night when they call each other....its actually very peaceful...this one was pissed off because he's stuck in a trap. And how do I know? I spent some of the best times of my life in Algonquin park when I was a kid in northern Canada...canoeing with my father and older brother. Moose encounters have scared me the most... Bears run away if you make noise, wolves are very shy and come out at night and are rarely seen.... But a moose will actually charge you especially in the rut👌
@Earl Rogers stfu old man he could give you his exact address and youd do jack shit 😂 stay on your lazy boy before you have a heart attack trying to exert to much force getting up
Amazingly good job realeasing a wolf and avoiding injury. However, there is something dissatisfying about watching a wild animal stuck in a human made trap
+Henrik Nilsson We use the word "held" in lieu of "stuck" and yes it is not pleasant to see an animal struggle in a restrained position as it is very unnatural, but watching them freeze from mange, starvation, or watching them limp off of the highway after a vehicle strike is much more disturbing. We need to control the populations of all animal species and this is why trapping is necessary. Thank you for watching and for your comment!
Walter Roberts So how is that helping anything when wolf populations are already incredibly small? It's the deer populations that need controlling and without the wolf you're just making that much worse.
Hate to break it to ya but this ASS hole and his buddy's were in the woods picking up their illegal traps. He is out of breath and squats down and has time to make a video? Seriously? Watch the vid and listen to his voice. He is extremely nervous!
@@zackgallagher3613 At no point in our videos does anyone say anything about killing anything! That is how rumors start and calling people names is not any more mature than making up what someone else said.
@@454firemanblaze There is nothing illegal about anything in any of our videos; if you find it difficult to just watch and move along, you may want to consider other channels.
+douebleu That is an unbelievably ignorant statement douebleu; I try not to engage in hateful discussions and certainly realize there are individuals like you who seem to have an entitlement to life over any others, which is sad, I do need to say directly to you; you could only dream of having any person in your life as good as the man you are quoting. He and his family are the finest examples of kindness, compassion, and intelligence. You douebleu should revisit your thinking and refrain from commenting such ridiculous thoughts in an open forum.
That roar is really something else. He was trying his best to be scary and drive the humans away. Imagine hearing that in the middle of the night alone in the forest when sleeping in a tent.
Lili he never wanted to kill the wolf, he wanted to help the animal, it may seem hard to understand but wolves are dangerous animals and you must take caution with them i can see how you might think they were hurting it but they weren't.
Lili Larivée You can't fault someone for enjoying the hunt. It's as much a great responsibility as it is a pastime--a sentiment that probably varies in intensity from hunter to hunter. The fact that a hunter wants to hunt seems to be deplorable to you. Is it so bad if a jogger wants to jog or if a painter wants to paint? It is rather in poor taste to lambaste someone for having different interests than you do. I invite disagreement on the philosophy of hunting--as I invite disagreement on anything, for an honest and intellectual discussion on a topic is always educational--but to be more compelling, it is better to cite reasons why hunting may seem bad to you--facts, not feelings. It is not emotion but logic that most effectively affects a people.
beautiful wolf, .......I dont think you guys need to hide your names, I was impressed with the knowledge and skill you handled that wild wolf, and you helped him out, ..my son loved the video
LeThayle , Its called game management. If u had an education youd know that. Too many predators, ESPECIALLY WOLVES, decimate the other species & then even the wolves starve to death which is a far worse death than a bullet. Wolves are out of control & NEED being thinned down so EVERYTHING else can survive. Due to game management the game populations are better now than they have ever been. At least til the uneducated idiots reintroduced them. Let the trained, educated professionals do their jobs & keep your silly assed emotions out of it.
Auto blipper, GROW THE FUCK UP DUMBASS!! You and every other dumb son of a bitch need to get a grip on REALITY. Cant hide under mommies bed forever in your "safe place" you fucking MORON. REALITY IS WHAT IT IS. Deal w it dumbfuck!!!?
Nothing better than a sense of humor to get you through life. I trapped the Adirondacks for years and while there were no wolves there I've released more than a few "dogs", wild and domestic. I got a kick out of watching your clip because even without a catch pole it would have taken me about 5 minutes to free the critter. Tricks of the trade, if you will. I hope it survives with the eye problem. Health, Happiness, and Merry Christmas..........
I could not: put a price on this help, to save the wolf, But from Norway from the bottom of my heart I can thank you, you are great people for me. Blessings for you
Walter Roberts if you want to kill a coyote, if that really is necessary, go hunting. a trap is a horrendous thing, torture, to commit against any animal. why would you need to torture an animal in such a way? does the animal deserve to be tortured because you disapprove of it's existence? did god get it wrong, so now the animal must pay with pain and fear? do you have no concept of the feelings of an animal, and you really have no reason to kill in a such a way, but hey, you enjoy torturing animals and the state allows it, so why not? i don't care what the state allows. in some places, the state let's you stone another person to death. state laws are arbitrary to the society, character means you know right from wrong. i have no idea if there is a hell, but if there is, it will hold a special place for people who torture animals, and it will not give a crap about state law.

+Walter Roberts I dont like peolpe that shoot animals but I'd never be vulgar about it as that is not productive. Better have a real conversation with pros and cons and a discussion. Though I dont think I'll ever change my mind about that topic, it might change my acceptance.
LichtdesMorgens That is correct, civil conversation and resolutions are always the best way to handle things! Thank you for watching and for your comment!
+renduke The eagle may have a slight advantage if the wolf can not get it around the throat or head, but only an advantage to tick off the wolf. I think the eagle would have a very hard time taking a wolf down, there would have to be a lot of beak and talons work, lol!
+Walter Roberts Unfortunate??! seriously dude???!!!! Animals actually deserves to live, not being totured by humans by putting traps in their homes. they dont do that with us. The earth is soon just a planet of death because of humans. YOU KNOW.....THE ONES WHO CUTTING DOWN THE RAINFOREST IS DESTROYING FOR THE ANIMALS THAT ACTUALLY DESERVES TO LIVE. THE EARTH WOULD HAVE BEEN BETTER WITHOUT HUMANS. i am not saying that the animals doesent kill us, but humans kills more......
@Voracious Reader That's quite the high horse you're on. I hope you're not sitting there eating a sandwich with cheese made from stolen milk and some pre-murdered and packaged factory farmed animal. That would be quite the performative contradiction. At least the wolfs live free in nature before they're killed.
Thumbs up for the guy who released him. If a hunter can kill a beautiful animal like this then they can kill a human too. I hope that hunter gets a nice surprise from a pack of wolves someday when he is alone.
Unfortunately, wolves aren't stupid enough to try to attack a hunter, unless it is in self defense. It's up to us humans to bring justice to hunters and poachers.
In this day and age man should not be laying down traps for animals. This is hideous, cruel, barbaric and wrong. Animals have the right to be allowed to live out their lives and man leaving them alone.
You have a serious issue in understanding the world Lotus, humans are required in the moderation of animal numbers, specifically coyotes, which this trap was set up for. Otherwise the coyotes would genocide all kinds of other animals.... and you think that you are the righteous one here, truly disgraceful, you have no right to even be telling other people what they can and can't do when you obviously have little to no education on the subject.
Nothing I have said is disgraceful. Humans have killed and destroyed far more than coyotes have. Made extinct more species than coyotes ever will. Setting out traps to torture animals is not acceptable. Take off your boot and put your foot into that trap and have it slam into your flesh and stay like that for a few days out in the wilderness and see if you like the situation and pain. Then get back to me on the subject.
That first bark was so loud and deep it was like a bear's roar. He is a beautiful boy. I could watch him all day.

End Wildlife Services'Needless Killing Of Wild Animals omg you're so ignorant it's embarrassing. Back to the basement with you.
JESUS WHEN HE LET OUT THAT FIRST GROWL NOISE I ALMOST SHAT
Lol, he wasn't very soft spoken that is for sure.
Never realized just how beautiful they are
They are that!
That wolfs howl is making my dog go crazy with my surround sound!
who knew that a wolf could manage to sound so terrifying? I don't if it's the headphones I'm wearing that gave me a realistic experience or not but every time it growled It left my knees weak haha
I'm pretty sure every time the boys got closer or spoke around it, it got a bit terrified. Terrifying for the person, terrifying for the critter.
+M A R V I N C A S I N O He definitely has a set of pipes on him, lol! Real loud when you are 3 feet away! Thank you for watching!

Why is it that in nearly every one of these release videos the humans are obviously dumber than the animals. I trapped for 30 years; released many animals domestic and wild, and never used a pole/loop.
This is very new to me but as an animal lover thank you so much for being so caring about the wolf.
The one guy is he who trapped the Wolf, however, he says "Oh well the season is over, so I guess I have to let him go" They're all hearless bastards.
Wolves are the most beautiful animal at all!
I've never heard a wolf howl until now, that scared the shit out of me
It is a pretty awesome experience being that close and to a wild one that chose to howl several times! Thank you for watching and sorry it scared you, lol!
Wow, I didn't know wolves barked like that o.O
They did the right thing, letting him go. I'm glad they did it in the nicest way possible, too.
That's call for help. Like an alarm.
WoW, what a video! Im no fan of wolves, but you guys did a great thing. Thank you for helping that wolf. God will shine his blessings on you. Rev.
He is very big and scary and beautiful. Been around for a while. I have big respect for him. Great work guys and thanks.
CAMERA: Jimmy, you need to be by Wallace...
JIMMY: No, I'm okay!!! (meaning: I'm fuckin' scared shitless of that goddamn thing; I ain't fuckin' goin' over there) lol
+Kim Cornell HAHAHAHAA
At least this man is an honest wolf hunter, realizing that the season is over and not killing it out of spite
Imagine hearing that howl on a cold and dark night. That’s quite some scary sound
@Исак Краизис how do you know
They don't howl like that at night when they call each other....its actually very peaceful...this one was pissed off because he's stuck in a trap.
@Исак Краизис you said, as long the wolf is alone, you should be good
Thank you! Hope he’ll heal to the fullest
Been a hunter for many many years BUT NEVER HAVE BEEN A FAN OF USING TRAPS AT ALL !!!!!
And your point being??? No one gives a shit what you are a fan of.

That first bark scared the life outta me.
You won’t hear the neighbors dog making that howl. Holy Jesus!
Lol, I would guess not! Thank you for watching and for your comment!
:) Thank you so much for not killing it.
Maybe because they had no reason to kill it.
good job guys thank you for releasing him
Thank you Luna and you are welcome!
What a great skill, to be able to safely release a wolf from a trap
Except for the mangled foot
I really respect for people who save animal.
He just said if it was wolfseason he would kill it dumbass
Hate to break it to ya but this ASS hole and his buddy's were in the woods picking up their illegal traps. He is out of breath and squats down and has time to make a video? Seriously? Watch the vid and listen to his voice. He is extremely nervous!
@@zackgallagher3613 At no point in our videos does anyone say anything about killing anything! That is how rumors start and calling people names is not any more mature than making up what someone else said.

My adult male cat went crazy when he heard that wolf CRY. EARS BACK AND WIDE OPEN EYES....THERE HE GOES BACKTO HIS BED.
Lone wolf missing an eye.. One of the most badass things I've seen from nature.

Exactly. These scumbags killing for fun. Hope they don't get any older.

Yes, he was definitely roughed up but very healthy and strong, we were impressed as we worked around him.
You are a good man, thank you
That roar is really something else. He was trying his best to be scary and drive the humans away. Imagine hearing that in the middle of the night alone in the forest when sleeping in a tent.
Very enjoyable video. Great job guys.
so sweet of you all to help the poor fella out
very gentle with him, you guys are amazing.
Thank you SunLitStudios!
how many times i have to say he wanted to .frikin. KILL THE POOR WOLF
Lili he never wanted to kill the wolf, he wanted to help the animal, it may seem hard to understand but wolves are dangerous animals and you must take caution with them i can see how you might think they were hurting it but they weren't.
He said "unfortunatly the hunting season is over"
Lili Larivée You can't fault someone for enjoying the hunt.
Wow! That is amazing! Such a beautiful animal, and you handled him with such kindness and care -- despite the danger to yourselves.
I love you guys. You saved my favorite animal. Thanks..
that wolf roar was terrifying...

Trapping wolves like this is disgusting.
They let it go
@@alyssamiller4510 it would of been a lot easier just to shoot it ..!!!!!
Mid-Ohio Guardian why would you
LeThayle , Its called game management.
Poor creature, it all shakes, when they take trap off.
And yeah, when he barks, it's STRONG.
Thanks, men.
I would like to see that wolf vs him no weapons
Nothing better than a sense of humor to get you through life. I trapped the Adirondacks for years and while there were no wolves there I've released more than a few "dogs", wild and domestic. I got a kick out of watching your clip because even without a catch pole it would have taken me about 5 minutes to free the critter. Tricks of the trade, if you will. I hope it survives with the eye problem. Health, Happiness, and Merry Christmas..........
I could not: put a price on this help, to save the wolf, But from Norway from the bottom of my heart I can thank you, you are great people for me. Blessings for you
He was a BIG FELLOW, and did he HOWL, POWERFUL too, when he got released, he was like thanks, see you losers later, I'm OUTA HERE
If I knew he was going to call me a loser when I let him go, I would have made him say uncle before releasing him! Lol,
Poor old king...so sad but I'm glad they freed him...sad...missing his eye and all...
It is sad that he was injured and permanently too. He was certainly healthy and strong! Thank you for watching and for your comment!

Zahir Ahmad The wolf is not hurt at all.
Dark knight Please don't use that word in that context, it is a mean thing to ask.
i do not understand all the wolf release videos. are you trapping them so you can film releasing them?
+Dehzee They are trapped by accident in coyote sets.
He's calling and cursing. How dare you capture me. Little did he know his redemption was nye. Wonderful.

+Walter Roberts who wins a fight full grown eagle vs full grown wolf /
i think i bet the wolf
That howl reminded me of The first opening scene of the classic video game ALTERED BEAST!!!
That Wolf has battle scars of a true Warrior
Just goes to show the respect real hunters have for nature and animals.
@Voracious Reader Cool story, bro.
@Voracious Reader That's quite the high horse you're on. I hope you're not sitting there eating a sandwich with cheese made from stolen milk and some pre-murdered and packaged factory farmed animal. That would be quite the performative contradiction. At least the wolfs live free in nature before they're killed.
Thank you for releasing that wolf. You're awesome :)
Thank you Michelle!
Great release guys
Thank you CTtrapper!
The plywood release is the way to go. They like the catch pole for video. Botched release, I am surprised you posted it.
0:49 That is a roar, not a howl. My god, that's powerful.
Why is there traps in the woods.
Thumbs up for the guy who released him. If a hunter can kill a beautiful animal like this then they can kill a human too. I hope that hunter gets a nice surprise from a pack of wolves someday when he is alone.
Why he did the right thing
Unfortunately, wolves aren't stupid enough to try to attack a hunter, unless it is in self defense. It's up to us humans to bring justice to hunters and poachers.
You guys are awsome great job !!!!
Sounds just like my malamute when hes upset my dads friends are over lol
Jimmy "yeah I'm okay here" 🤣
In this day and age man should not be laying down traps for animals. This is hideous, cruel, barbaric and wrong. Animals have the right to be allowed to live out their lives and man leaving them alone.
Unfortunately we eat animals now stfu.
You mean YOU eat body parts. Don't include me in on that.
LotusReach Nah, I won't do that... you fucking insane animal rights activist.
Thank you for treating the animal with respect and freeing him.
You guys did great. Thank you for saving that Big Wolf!
