#DevinReacts #ThreeDogNight #JoyToTheWorld - Hudba
I have to feel so sorry for u young people who are just now learning and enjoying such great music of the 70's. If u cud have lived it as I did is fantastic 😂.
Oh please....the world is so bad now with people that voted wrong.
Devin: Love your Christian testimony. Three Dog Night is one of my favorites. One of the Best is "Black and White" which has a great serious message, but is as far from heavy handed as you can get!
I can't describe the great feelings & memories this brings back to me. I was only six when this came out but I had two much older sisters who played this constantly. There'll never be another decade like the seventies.
Great memory of the 70’s!✌🏼
you gonna love it. 70s rule
This was just a feel good sing along song. Nothing way out there but oh so enjoying
The really Rocked the early 70's. Me and my cohorts rolled the streets windows down music blaring us singing along great times great memories.
I'll bet this was blasting from dorm windows at colleges, too!
@@TheBrooklynbodine where ever u went to school outing shopping everywhere everybody was singing it humming it it was contagious
This song comes from a time (60's, early 70's) when rainbows were just a symbol for happiness and peace.
Loved singing this song when I was a youngster.😊
Eli’s Coming , Shambala, Old Fashioned Love Song, Sure As I’m Sitting Here , Out In The Country, The Show Must Go On are some of their songs . TDN was differently a great band.
😊My older siblings said they remember when I started standing up in my crib (born in 1969)...n always baby dancing. We always had music on in our house. ❤ I STILL listen to all the music I grew up with.😊
As a child several of us on the morning bus would sing this every morning!
One of my 1970's favorites !!!! Love it
Billboard had this as the #1 song of the 1970s. Songs fitting your ideals include Mama Told Me Not To Come, Black and White, Never been to Spain, An Old Fashioned Love Song, and One. My favorite is Shambala, which is a mythical Tibetan Buddhist kingdom where everyone appears as they they are inside, and you can see physically see the good in people. Best of luck.
Three Dog Night is an American-Irish rock band from the 60's-70's. This band had a lot of energy. They had 3 guys with great voices that could all sing lead vocals. They had great songs such as "One", "Just An Old fashioned Love Song", Eli's Coming", Shambala", "Mama Told Me Not To Come", "Try A Little Tenderness", "Never Been To Spain", "Easy To Be Hard", "The Show Must Go On" etc.
Hi Dagmar S. In your comment you stated that this band was "an American-Irish rock band". I have never heard of them being connected to Ireland. Would you mind telling me where the Irish comes in? Thanks
The Irish comes in because one of the lead singers Danny Hutton was born in Ireland and moved to USA when he was a young boy. This group is my all time favorite but I never heard them referred to as an American-Irish rock band.
Three Dog Night, wonderful group. Ya have to get up and dance.
Remember this always playing on the AM radio. Anybody else my age remember those days? Great group great song.
Always a joy to watch you react. It genuinely makes you happy keep dancing young man
With my name being Joy born in 1963 this song came out when I was 8 years o0ld and instantly became my life's signature song. At 61 now it still is..
Rock on Devon!!!❤️🙏🏼
I have all their albums. They were my favorite group when I was 12 . We need this today. JOY 🥰🎶🎵😀
Definitely MUST check out “Mama told me not to come” “Shambala” and “Eli’s Coming” live versions
Can't help but sing along to this song.
“ One”is another top hit as well as “Easy to be Hard” “Liar” on and on! Oh yes! “CELEBRATE” is another one of their great songs!
Love your reactions, love your personality and I love that you love your LORD.
One of the first 45's I ever bought.Still have it😊
This is certainly a golden oldie! Love it... 👏👍💃 such a nice vibey, sing along song. Brings back memories... 👍👍 love your reaction Devon.
Swesome!!!!! Your reactions are REAL!!!!!!
MoMA told me not to come. It's a great one ck it out, Eli's coming another one
Three Dog Night is a rabbit hole you will love exploring. One, Pieces of April,, Old Fashioned Love Song, Mama Told Me Not to Come, Shambala, Out in the Country.
We sang this in kids church back in the 70s
I had this on a 45 record when I was a kid. I played it so much, I nearly wore that record out! Great song!
Your father-in-law sure woke you up! I love the fishies and rocks and birds and dtreams and trees and all the kitty cats. That's JOY! You wife has a very smart Dad. Spreading JOY!
Great band. Keep listening. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Love and respect from the netherlands.spread positive vibes
As a kid I Loved "Black and White" as well. With this song in kindergarten the teachers had us do hula hoops to this song.
LOved this song so much and sang it as a kid this is why our generation so happy and carefree and loved life and find happiness and fun in everything, as kids our panties arent in a was over everything for we had great music and everyone bringing out great music and new sounds . This song just makes you feel good and happy, and agree with you on being faithful to one person and thats the best, yes rainbow has 7 colors meaning of God , the other has 6 .
I was 3 when this was released and it was a huge hit and had lots of radio play through most of my childhood and I loved it!
Love that you have taken the dive into these wonderful Oldies. I absolutely love Oldies. They just bring out this unexplainable joyful feeling from inside you that is hard to find with today's music. Have fun!
Devin, I am SO glad you got into the dogs. They had a ton of hits and so many great songs. Try Shambala, Never been to Spain, Old Fashioned Love Song, Eli's Coming, Try a Little Tenderness, Black and White, Celebrate, Brickyard Blues, Nobody, and the list goes on and on. They were one of the original Super Groups of the 70's. Chuck Negron, Corey Wells, and Danny Hutton are the 3 dogs. Only Mr. Wells has passed of those three, but only :Danny Hutton still tours with the group. Some of the band members have passed also, but please do dive into their wealth of songs. God bless.
Posting 2-18-23. Floyd Sneed died about 3 weeks back.
Sad. He was fantastic.
This band had 3 lead singers all equal Chuck, Cory and Danny
First concert back in the day. Fantastic show!
Devin, you have to hear
TRY A LITTLE TENDERNESS on Soundstage 1975! Oh my gosh! Awesome!
You need to check out the song "Immortality", they wrote it for Celine Dion but sang backup with her! Those guys were the best!! Their humility and greatness was shown singing backup for Celine Dion!!
Great song. Bring back my childhood. ❤️
My mom loved this song when it came out when I was growing up. Three Dog Night, Journey, Bob Seger and all those 70's and early 80's greats were what I grew up listening to.
Feel good band with talent enjoy.💕
My absolute favorite song, when I was little to now, is Shambala.
Probably my favorite group from that era. In my opinion, that are vastly underrated; and should be considered one of the greats of the late '60's and early '70's.
Son, your beard is beautiful! Appreciate that you are honest to yourself and your belief. My fav three dog night is shambala, Eli’s coming, Black and white. ❤️
The song was everywhere, and more mainstream that much of their other tunes. "Joy To the World" arrangements were favorites for school musical groups, and for my 9th grade stage band. TDN used three leads, Chuck, Corey and Danny. Chuck Negron sang this one. He thought the band needed a "silly" song. They have other upbeat songs, but most rocked a bit harder. Try "Eli's Coming." or "Mama Told Me Not to Come."
Amen
Hey Devin! Well I'm excited about this group you're about to discover! I grew up listening to this group in the 70s, they have a wonderful catalog to explore 😊 A few songs you would enjoy listening to are "One " that song was recorded in 1968, " An Old fashioned love song" was a hit back in 1971 and Eli's Coming" is another goodie made in 1969. I loved this band back in the day (and still do) such great music to give a listen to.🤩🥰
This is a band that you need to see live. You Tube has a lot of their concerts (in segments) to choose from. All three sang lead on various songs. You could start with "Celebrate", "Black and White", "Shambala", "Momma Told Me Not To Come" and go from there. Their concerts were great ... they really engaged the audience while cutting up on stage. Keep going with Three Dog Night! Thank you,
Eli"s Coming shows each singing, One, Mama Tokd Me Not To Come, Try A Little Tenderness should next. They are a 7 member group with 3 lead singers. RIP Corey, one of the lead singer
Ok I got a funny story for ya Devin. My cousin Gary Gibson RIP. When he was very young maybe 5. He got up in church and wanted to sing a song. He chose this one. I’ll never forget it!!!!!!!
The World 🌎 had a different Take on this song back when this was a Hit. Lots of songs were part of the Vietnam 🇻🇳 War Relief to appease the hurt our Country was going through.
Just love happy positive music. It feels good!☀
Danny Hutton awesome singer I was 8 yrs old I heard this song..I listen a lot old school music
Danny's voice was the least impressive in that band. He sang very little lead.
This was my 6th Grade Graduation Song,,,, mad crazy listening to the lyrics now 😮
7 members 3 were lead singers. Each took lead depending on the song. Please listen to One, Try a little Tenderness, Black and White
These guys are fantastic. Please react to
Black And White.
It's got a great message the world needs to hear today.
You so need to listen to "Black And White" by Three Dog Night. That song still is needed in this world today in 2024 unfortunately..
The one of the atrocities is they're not in the r+r hall of fame and they SHOULD be! Another good one by them is "The Show Must Go On"
As a side note the bands name is a reference to how cold it was last night , " how cold was it last night ?" " it was a 3 dog night " meaning the " guy " needed 3 dogs to keep warm.
Devon there is a group called Pentatonix they are five of the world's best acapella singers they've done two songs that you need to listen to one is hallelujah the other is Mary did you know
Cool (very)
Such a feel good song! Definitely check out "Mama Told Me Not To Come."
Devin, you crack me up, and I mean that in a GREAT way !!! BTW, the group's name comes from an old Aborigine practice. On cold nights, Aboriginal Australian would dig a hole in the ground and sleep in it while holding a dingo (dog) to stay warm. If it was colder than usual, they'd sleep with 2 dingos ... the idea being, the colder it got, the more dingos were needed. So, if it was really cold (or freezing), then it would be a Three Dog Night.
Since there were 3 lead singers in the group who traded lead parts off and on, it seemed appropriate.
The show must Go on another one that is great
I feel so sorry for the younger generations whose parents did not introduce them much to 70's music and Classic Rock such as this song as so many others. Shame on those parents who do not..
If you want to hear another feel-good song (from 1976), the BAND is "Orleans";
the SONG is
"(You're) Still the One".
It's so much fun ☺️, and a sweet sentiment, too.
I think you (and your WIFE) will love it! 💗
even if you don't react to it, on your channel.
You made me smile...
You should check out their song " shambala" I think you would dig it ✌️
so great to hear/see a christian man reviewing rock songs today w/o all the damnations and scorns. this song was one of my favorites back in the early 70's and i saw 3 dog night in concert last summer. some different gous but still great...
The bee gees fanny be tinder. The high pitch voice was Robin. The deep voice was Maurice.
Give the song Back and White a listen , quite relevant today
Never Been to Spain another good song by 3 Dog Night
Also written by Hoyt Axton.
I love your channel. I am 72 and greatest pop song of all time is called THERE SHE GOES by the La’s in 1990. I would love you to listen to it 😊
☮️💟
have you ever been to Spain is a good one
Hope you Will play Mama Told Me Not Come by 3 Dog Night. I've read that the Bands name comes from the Eskimos ( or Australian aborigines???): an extremely cold night was called a 3 Dog night ie needed to sleep with 3 dogs to keep warm.
Forever young Alphaville is best...

You Can't have it BOTH Ways.

They were so good. JEREMIAH WAS A BULL FROG
It's a shame you can't sing the song anymore because you're not allowed to say boys and girls.. What a sad world we live in now
