Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!. I started using a tach a few years ago. The old ears lost their calibration. That's pretty good not needing any adjustment.
Appears that tach works perfectly when using the wire attachment, will suggest it to our flipper North Star small engine repair, Safe and happy holiday season wishes to you and your family from all of us at EP. Just a weird side note watched two movies yesterday Priscilla and she walks over the carpet at Graceland and voila a giant EP, then the next one forgot the name but the ladies portfolio case had a big EP on it. Amazing how many EP's are out there eh?
@@KensSmallEngineRepairYep i see a lot of wrenches on YT just putting up to the plug or wire and not accurate they bounce all over the place. At EP we still use the old analog one we purchased off Stens which has an accuracy of plus or minus 2% works fine for us but still expensive.
@@KensSmallEngineRepairoh I thought I had and issue with mine. I never used the antenna attachment lol wondering why it was bouncing all over the place. Grabbed this one at amicks
@@KensSmallEngineRepair so if it was a twin cylinder briggs would u change it off default. I actually own this tach but the instructions I couldn't really understand all that well
Ken, I hate to change subject, but I bought a 15000 Lisle Rigid Hone after I saw you use it in a video. I'm having a hard time getting the stone width on the hone measured. I'm fairly close. When I run this hone in a cylinder, it should true itself up, shouldn't it? I have a cylinder that is already .030 over, so I could run this hone it it for a bit that should should true the stones? Am I thinking right?
You are already 30 over. What are you trying to accomplish with the Rigid hone? Is the bore out of round. Is it tapered? Are you going for a different size or are you just trying to cross hatch what you have for a new set of rings?
I was thinking of running the hone in the bore that is already shot just to get the stones trued up. I guess you could say "to break in the hone". I think the stones are fairly parallel, but it's hard to get a good reading on my mitutoyo caliper since the stones aren't "perfect shape".
@@KensSmallEngineRepair I just got it yesterday, so I'm just getting started with it. Instructions say you can do dry hone or 8 parts kerosene to 1 part oil. I haven't decided which way to go yet. It does say it will produce a smoother finish with kerosene & oil.
Merry Christmas To you to Kenny 🤗

I need to do a video on tachs, from my Original VibraTach to analog to strobe light to inductive. Lots of tachs!

Spot on, love it!
merry christmas ken
Merry Christmas 🎄🎁 hope all is well!
saw one of those tachs on ebay bid for 50 bucks plus shipping.
That machine sounds nice!
$50 is a steal, as long as it comes with the wiring harness!
Yea, I like the repeat / replay feature. BTW reminds me of the tach I had on my Nova,, Huge old Stewart Warner
@TheNovaJohn the good old days, Sun Super Tach II, I had Auto Meter gages.
👍
Ken do you have to put that tach on a certain setting or do u just run it on default 360? Smash that 👍 button show Ken some ❤
Default 360 on that one. Depends on if it’s single or dual cylinder and if it sparks every revolution. The manual for it gives a good explanation
@@KensSmallEngineRepair so if it was a twin cylinder briggs would u change it off default. I actually own this tach but the instructions I couldn't really understand all that well
I’ve never had to change it from the 360. If you put it on a twin and full rpm is 6 or 7 grand, then yes you would have to put it on 720
