Belongs right up there with Ella, Sarah, Dinah! Was blessed to have worked with this wonderful person on the short lived SINBAD sitcom. What a treasure, what a pleasure! She treated us to a private concert at a local club that was fabulous and quite memorable. Truly one of the highlights of my career in television production! Thank you Nancy for sharing your awesome talent with us, we love you dear lady.

Nancy is one classy talented lady with a beautiful voice. I saw her Lou Rawls perform together in Oakland in the 70's and it was magic. Fancy Nancy is my favorite female Jazz performer.

Classy lady - her best years were the 60s and 70s, after that she became a bit mannered ( too many vocal swoops and dives , and indifferent orchestrations ). Her early discs were timeless. Will Friedwald suggests much of her style derives indirectly from Little Jimmy Scott, and although I was surprised at first, I've got to agree.
