I could never skip school or not come home when I was supposed too.I was too scared of my mother to just disobey her.I know this is different because Meredith seemed too afraid of Jimmy to tell anyone what he was going to do.She must have had the same type of fear but it ruined her life

Made me think about an incident with my (then) 3 year old son; he had dumped his Lego blocks all over the floor. When I told him that it was time to tidy up...he said, "no!". I gave him one chance, then took his hand and forced him to pick up each block. He was tearful (and my back was broken) by the end of the excercise, but he never did it again...and he learned that actions have consequences. I always tell that story when new parents express fear about child rearing.
When I see parents dealing with disobedient children, I wonder whether it is the result of early errors. Always follow through with your words. Obviously, it would have been easier (in the moment) to have picked up the blocks myself.

It's the same old story: parents make the kids financially dependent on them by paying their way. Then they get sick of it, and cut off the kids. Jimmy said he was never held accountable for lots of things as a kid. He was a bad seed to begin with, then he snapped and did the unthinkable. The story doesn't tell you that in 2008 Jimmy was tired of being in solitary confinement, and managed to get himself a cellmate named Hart. He strangled Hart to death in their cell. I believe the brother Chip was involved. Giving parties in the dead parents' home using black lights to highlight the blood. How disrespectful and ghoolish. Brutally beating your own parents to death with a baseball bat and clawhammer is so disgusting. He should never see the light of day again.

You can give a child everything in the world and they can still turn out horrible. My channel covers true crime and we covered Paul Merhige who killed 4 members of his family during thanksgiving. He was a 35 year old loser whose family covered all of his living costs in the very expensive Florida neighborhood of Coral Gables. They gave him EVERYTHING and all he did was blame them and his family for his failures. On thanksgiving, he decided he was going to get even with his family since 'everyone was against him' (they weren't, they distant themselves from him) and killed his twin sisters, a 6 year old cousin and another cousin while injury others. He was absolutely convinced that his family who did EVERYTHING for him, didn't do enough, so they had to die.

That is how you know she was telling the truth. It is believed that her vulnerability due to facing bullying this person is easy to manipulate and hence why she was more of an accomplice than hero. Listening to her at 28:29 her emotions where true in her remorseful admittance of her role in this crime. 35:38 when Jimmy pleaded for his life there was no true emotion of remorse. He is acting and does not feel sorry for what he did. Glad the jury sentenced him the way he did. He would do this again. His interview with Vinnie was the most honest answers he gave. This is probably the first time I listen to a story and go from "well, that sucks" to "b*tch please, cry me a river" when it comes to her.
She listened to him talking and planning about killing his own innocent parents, she listened and did nothing, didn't warn them, didn't talk him out of this, didn't ask the police about what to do. She followed him, helped him, and literally handed him a weapon. At no time did she dial 911 or scream to warn the parents, she didn't try to run, call for help or even an ambulance.
I know she had low self-esteem, because she was on the bigger side, and she probably felt like he was "the one" and was willing to ignore all the red flags... But that's not a valid excuse for a double murder. And personally, 10 years per human life seems very low.

Must be a southern thing. Here in California, boy-men with names like Chip, Skip, Petey, Tiny, or Buster would be laughed at.

The interview with Chip was fascinating. I think there’s more to the Chip situation than he’s admitting, though.

It does suck that they didn’t go ahead and try to arrest the other brother. Who knows, maybe that is such a little evidence that there’s no way to even get it to a jury. But those are some really sick kids. I can’t believe you would show off the blood splatter of your parents murders. I would like to know how much money the free brother is sending to the brother on death row? I bet the brother who is in prison has a big commissary account.

By her being overweight is a disadvantage of handling someone due to the fact that she might get tried very easily.. you have to be in physical shape to overtake someone..🤷🏽
