      Hey Brad and Hayley,
      I was wondering where you got your Starlink pole and did you run the cable through that wall?
      Cheers Andrew.

      @@Andonella_Travels Hey Andrew, its a spacetek carbon fibre pole. spacetek.com.au/products/carbon-fibre-telescopic-rv-mount-for-starlink-gen-2 The Starlink cable is run to RHS of van through a RJ45 passthrough in the wall to under the L shape seat where they've mounted their modem.

    Well after watching that video I am really impressed how you guys come across. No put ons or epics just a great 30 minute video about Peregrine built by the best caravan manufacturer in Australia. You guys should be very proud of yourselves. Adrian is also really good on the interview side of things. Well hopefully we might meet you guys on the road sometime as we pick up our Sojourn late February . Meanwhile we will keep following your journey. Safe travels and keep up the good work.

    Very interesting tour ,I would like to see some more detail observations on items like bed operation ,do you always use the extension,with the Starlink pole where is the connection to the router (what is location of router) . Keep the videos coming very helpful and entertaining

    • @our.australia.trip.
      @our.australia.trip. Před 6 měsíci +1

      Hey Garry, the bed is very simple its just slides out around 6 or 8 inches and we slip the bolster in between the head of the bed and mattress. We use the Starlink pole not always, but most of the time. It gets the dish up nice and high and then is out of the way so people cannot run over it with there car or trip on the cable. The cable plugs into the side of the van via RJ45 bulkhead, then connects to the router which we are storing out of sight under neath the L shape lounge 👍

    We met you guys at the OffGrid day was great to chat, we ended up ordering one on the day. So excited, excellent to see how your setup is and what you use for storage. Two questions, would the Weber fit sideways with the rails like you have them, or with the rails does it fit better that way. Also how is the Starlink two piece pole holders fitted to the van, I have been looking at the exact system online, is it just Sikaflex or is it screwed as well. Happy & safe travels to you and maybe we’ll see you on the road somewhere.

    • @our.australia.trip.
      @our.australia.trip. Před 6 měsíci

      Awesome to hear David! No the weber only fits length ways, i know it clashes with the pole carrier but probably too wide for the tunnel boot opening too. The Spacetek is fastened and sikaflexed. Same to you, safe travels & we will see you out there 😊

    This is such a nice van. We have constraints with room for reversing into out property and the max length is 18ft. Sort of wish you made smaller models ….so I’ll just need to dream 😊

    • @ZoneRV
      @ZoneRV  Před 6 měsíci

      Thanks for the kind words Susan. That's a bit of a bummer, the extra foot doesn't look like much externally but makes a massive difference on the internal feel. 😊

  • @philmarriott8084
    @philmarriott8084 Před 4 měsíci +1

    It really is a hell of a great van. If Zone would respond to emails it would be a great help too! I admit I don’t know a thing about composting toilets but the people I have spoken to are rather pessimistic about them, switching across between poo and wee every time you need to use a toilet, what happens if both occur at the same time? I could have this completely wrong but that’s what I’m told..
    I have in the past been committed to spending my hard earned dollars on a Zone but at the $140k to 200k depending on your choices, one would think you could choose your own toilet amongst other things..
    What about the added weight you’re carrying around with you everywhere you go? I could be swayed either way still but I need more understanding of this if someone would be kind enough to reply?
    Otherwise Awesome van we really love it.

    • @ZoneRV
      @ZoneRV  Před 4 měsíci +1

      Hey Phil, you don't need to change compartments when using, the 1s & 2s simply go into seperate chambers. Its quite simple and much less work and stench than the chemical alternative. This video czcams.com/video/lbD-b2QojGk/video.htmlsi=2ZTcXZcjQlwmM3df&t=550 is a simple and informative run down, start around the 9 minute mark 👍 It should give you a great idea on how it works and why they are superior to the chemical alternative.

      @@ZoneRV Thanks for the helpful feedback, I watched the video from beginning to end. I can see the benefits of it now Thanks! However I still have questions… btw sorry about the grubby topic but .. well we all do it every day so it may as well be discussed.
      So it seems in a caravan environment where space is key, and we don’t want to be having to empty it more than we have to. What are people doing with all that toilet paper? If that’s going in the trash bin beside the toilet that’s a lot of filth we’re potentially keeping in the caravan temporarily?
      Also the cleaning up process every time one has a dump? I guess these questions are true whatever toilet type you have..
      It must take some getting use to.. I’ve just gotta convince the Mrs now that’s gonna be the hard part..
      Thanks again for the explanation I’ll consider this when Caravan purchase time comes along.

    • @our.australia.trip.
      @our.australia.trip. Před 4 měsíci

      @@philmarriott8084 Hey Phil! Lets get into the grub! As for the toilet paper we just use normal 2 ply and discard it in the no.2 compartment. We do however break it into singular sheets so it doesn't wrap around the agitator. Clean up process is simple and easy, usually there is no mess. Zone supply a spray bottle with a chemical that is kind to the compost which you just spray and wipe where required if there is any mess. We have a little water bottle next to the loo to rinse the no.1 section of the bowl, which eliminates odour and resuide. Also, a dash of vinegar in the no.1 compartment removes any urine odors.
