The kit in the video is optioned as follows for a 2014 Fiesta:
6.5" Display (non-recessed)
Non-Navigation APIM (although you can select navigation if you wish!)
Dual Port USB Hub

I know the Sync 4 hardware is different, but hopefully one day in the near future, we will be able to upgrade from Sync 3 to Sync 4. Great video btw!
Thanks! So it's different hardware but almost all the same wiring -- except it runs off of HS4 instead of HS3. We just gotta figure out how to get HS4 into the network along with programming the system, then we'll be cooking with grease 😁

1. After this upgrade, does your car microphone still work for phone calls?
2. If I pick APIM with no navigation, will Google Maps/Waze still work on the screen?
3. Any timeline on when Non-Recessed screens will be back in stock for the Fiesta?

1. Absolutely, the mic will still function for calls and Siri//Google Assistant + Sync Commands
2. Yes, non-nav will still allow for CarPlay and Android Auto.
3. I have a couple Fiesta screens but they're not new. Not really scratched or anything I just don't feel super comfortable selling them full price. If you want to shoot me an email I can get you setup with a coupon code.

Hello I have a fiesta mk7.5 and here in my country our fiesta is still equipped with basic mini HUD, so if I wanna upgrade sync 3, skipping from sync 2 still works just fine?

Hey Alexander -- most 2016 Focuses should have had Sync 3 unless you are in a country who didn't allow it until later. If you're sure you are on Sync 2 and want to go to Sync 3 yes, you will need new screen and APIM module hardware along with a hub and gps Antenna.

Yes! You just need the new hub and you'll need to update past Sync 2.3 -- I have a video on my channel on how to go all the way to Sync 3.4 easily 😁

Brian, after this upgrade, can I use the Sync 2 APIM module/Screen for another vehicle. Was thinking about using it on my Sync2 F150 (non-Nav). the Escape Sync 2 that I am replacing is the Navigation version. Would there be programing necessary? Any info would be greatly appreciated!!!
Absolutely. Although the Fiesta screen is 6.5" vs 8" on most other Fords.
@@NaviUpgrade Thanks for the response. Both are 8" (and seem to be identical less the navigation functionality), so would I just plug and play the APIM, plug and play the APIM and screen, or would it require programing?!?
@@stashbob it will probably require programming if it's from a different vehicle. The easiest thing to do would be to take the Nav SD card from the nav car and put it in the non nav car then enable navigation in the non nav car using FORScan. I filmed a video on how to do it in this car but I think the sd card I used was bad so it didn't work. I'll think about posting it haha.
my sync 2 stopped working, so i see a good opportunity to upgrade to sync 3. My questions are if the camera, sensors and ABS control still work well?
Absolutely! As long as you have Sync 2 currently, it's a simple upgrade!

Ah dang, we don't have the S Max over here in the US. The process should be fairly straightforward as it's just a screen/APIM and hub replacement along with a GPS antenna. You'd just need to figure out how to remove the correct trim pieces.
Prise the two vents out either side of the screen, pop out the top of screen facia, undo the two bolts that that hold the top dash tray in place , pop out the round part of the tray towards the windscreen which is part of the top dash tray as there is a bolt underneath it, its quite difficult to get this part out, you need to remove it so you can place the new sat nav antenna under there, pop off the two padded side trims that run along either side of the centre console arm rest, pop of the chrome trim around the gearstick that runs up the sides where the USB /sd card housing is, prise up the centre consul cup holder and trim and disconnect switch plugs, you should now see two bolts that holds the usb/sd tray either side, remove them pull out usb/sd card tray compartment and there is two bolts that hold the bottom of the facia undo them and that's it
