  • *This is a video of the recce of the Honey Street run - perhaps amongst the most beautiful scenery of all our runs. *
I was riding my Yamaha XSR125 and Steve was on his new Triumph 400 Speed.
Starting at the Mill Cafe, the run takes us first past All Cannings then along the back roads to Pewsey before heading off to Wootton Rivers and Oare before heading back to the Cafe via Alton Priors - about 28 miles in all.
There are indeed some hazards on route….gravel, sand and grass in the middle of the road, overhanging foliage, possible flooding, muddy roads with water filled potholes…..so absolutely nothing that a motorcyclist with at least 50 years experience shouldn’t be able to take in his stride…..notice I said “his” - we are yet to have a lady join us.
The hazards will appear in a subsequent video once the run is confirmed.
But remember - this is a beautiful run designed to be enjoyed!

You live in a wide area of outstanding beautiful motorcycle riding Rob and I do enjoy your ides. This recce was no exception and I am sure many of us would love to be on it with you. Your mate Steve summed it up, just like being in the Bocage. I do have one concern riding in the tight little lanes, apart from the gravel, grass, pot holes and flooding, the loony vehicle driving at speed towards you on blind bends! Looks like it will be a good ride on Sunday on this route and the weather looks ok. 😊👍🏍NJ

You're right, Rob, it was a beautiful run, though sunshine, blue skies and (largely) dry roads certainly helps.👍 Setting up helmet comms pairings can be a real pain however.

Love those roads it’s my playground 😀 at 18.20 minutes into your video you went past THE best coffee and cake stop in Wiltshire! It’s a tiny hidden cafe called Sticks and Stones. No good for a big group but great with a few friends. You turn in towards Whitehall Garden centre then bear left.

Well I must say whenever i pass the garden centre I think "there must be coffee there" - I'd probably have seen it if I was going in the other direction ! Thanks for the tip !

May is beautiful in Spain too, even the central reservations of motorways have blue and pink bushes and are a sight for sore eyes. Long days and the smells too. Was that supertramp? And deffo Boston.i wrote a car off many years ago and when I came to rest upside down this was still playing on my tape player😂😂😂

That little lot should charge your battery up, no more bump starts for a while.
