  • Once Jehovah's Witnesses become aware of the fact that child abuse exists in their religion, they will them jump to the excuse that it doesn't matter because other religions have problems with it too. Here are some suggestions on how to respond.

I really like your videos because you are not just being a "angry, bitter apostate." Some videos can make people who are still in the religion but confused believe that all "apostates" are just "angry and bitter." In some videos the the ex JW sometimes makes fun of the governing body. I understand they are upset but if they are trying to help others still in the religion by doing this they might just do the opposite of helping them. Thank you for being so real. One day when I feel the time is right I will possibly show my JW family members some of your videos.

Thank you for your videos. However, i wanted to humbly mention, that there is no need to make them short. The longer the better. Your voice, coherence, arguments and in the same time humbleness and consideration, make me binge watching your videos. I'm sure there are plenty of us.

I asked a JW about this issue and was informed that the elder's job is to keep the congregation clean by disfellowshipping the offender. It's not the elder's job to inform the police of the abuse. Well isn't this just dandy for the abused child! Where's the mercy?

I believe the stats on abuse show that it is most often a family member by a wide margin which makes it logical for the sole responsibility to report it NOT to fall to the family.

I appreciate you bringing these important matters out in the light of clarity, maturity, and love. Bashing is just noise. But truthfully bringing things to light is very valuable. I appreciate the approach you take and the points you are bringing out very much. I was a JW for 12 years and lived on an island as well. I loved them all and still do very much. Unfortunately, there are many indicators that this is not God’s appointed religion. Thank you again for bringing such things out ♥️

While there’s csa in every religion, the problem is much worse in the JWs. The Australian Royal commission found around 1000 abusers protected by the JWs and around 2000 protected by the Catholics. On the surface, it looks like the problem is worse in the Catholic religion. However there are around 70 times more Catholics in Australia than JWs. That makes the problem in the JW religion about 35 times worse, on a per capita basis. This can probably be attributed to the fact that the Catholics only protected priests while JWs protected everyone, regardless of whether they were an elder or just a member of the congregation.

Potentially more evil perpetrators of this hideous crime are most likely to join in the full knowledge that the GB, overseers and elders foremost priority is to protect their public image, not abuse victims.

Hi,im from indonesia, i try so hard to understand the topix of 2 witness ,but there is no problem with 2 witness rule....why every ex jw told to watch it?
From Prof.Holly research about the application of the two-witness rule, she think that the description in the media is highly overdrawn. The rule does not mean you need two people to catch somebody in flagrante delicto. It is much more a case of a reasonable amount of evidence coming forward from two different parties or two different perspectives. Other Christian religions have similar rules.

And this is still going on in the 2022 (Social services are still failing to this age 2022.they have failed to Report the (child sexual abuse to the Courts? Covering up the truth. The real Jesus Christ said."(You will know the truth and the truth will set you free") The true God knocked my door and saved my life.Jehovah is the true God (and has a mighty powerful hand) Almighty God JEHOVAH 🤗

The difference with Jehovah's Witnesses is that child abuse was never hidden. Also ones in positions of responsibility weren't moved around to mask the problem.
Jehovah's Witnesses as an organisation don't focus on civil or criminal law. They are religious in focus - meaning their attention is not upon making a better world. That is left to God.
Jesus said it best. Some things are dealt with by the law/authorities, some things are dealt with by God.
    Mark 12:17 New Living Translation
“Well, then,” Jesus said, *“give to Caesar what belongs to Caesar, and give to God what belongs to God.”* His reply completely amazed them.
Where does child abuse lie within that? Is it criminal or religious?
    Romans 13:1-5 New Living Translation
    *Respect for Authority*
*1Everyone must submit to governing authorities.* For all authority comes from God, and those in positions of authority have been placed there by God. 2So anyone who rebels against authority is rebelling against what God has instituted, and they will be punished. 3For the authorities do not strike fear in people who are doing right, but in those who are doing wrong. Would you like to live without fear of the authorities? Do what is right, and they will honor you. *4The authorities are God’s servants, sent for your good. But if you are doing wrong, of course you should be afraid, for they have the power to punish you. They are God’s servants, sent for the very purpose of punishing those who do what is wrong.* 5So you must submit to them, not only to avoid punishment, but also to keep a clear conscience.
Some feel that Jehovah's Witnesses should take the law into their own hands. But that is clearly against bible teachings.
When someone within the organisation commits a wrong according to bible standards they can be removed from the organisation. *In other words they are left to be dealt with by whatever authority is in that area,* be that the police, local council, courts or government agency.
1 Corinthians 5:12,13 New Living Translation
*12It isn’t my responsibility to judge outsiders,* but it certainly is your responsibility to judge those inside the church who are sinning. *13God will judge those on the outside; but as the Scriptures say, “You must remove the evil person from among you.”* k
As stated, God allows authorities to punish those who break civil or criminal laws.
It must be remembered that Jehovah's Witnesses are people. Not all people are brought up within the organisation, they come into it. Therefore, they can have agendas or behaviours that go against the bible. Many people with bad motives join organisations just to get access to information or to vulnerable individuals. Online for example adults pose as children in order to groom and molest children. Or scam artists pretend to be a legitimate company to acquire your information and then assume your identity or steal money.
    Galatians 2:4 Amplified Bible
*My concern was because of the false brothers [those people masquerading as Christians] who had been secretly smuggled in [to the community of believers].* They had slipped in to spy on the freedom which we have in Christ Jesus, in order to bring us back into bondage [under the Law of Moses].
    2 Timothy 3:13 Amplified Bible
*But evil men and impostors will go on from bad to worse, deceiving and being deceived.*
However, the teachings of Jehovah's Witnesses solidly based on the bible does help change peoples thinking and actions...
1 Corinthians 6:9-11 New Living Translation
9Don’t you realize that those who do wrong will not inherit the Kingdom of God? *Don’t fool yourselves. Those who indulge in sexual sin,* or who worship idols, or commit adultery, or are male prostitutes, or practice homosexuality, 10or are thieves, or greedy people, or drunkards, or are abusive, or cheat people- *none of these will inherit the Kingdom of God. 11Some of you were once like that. But you were cleansed;* you were made holy; you were made right with God by calling on the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God.
Even still where *criminal matters are involved these are directed to the appropriate authorities by those directly involved. It is not a religious matter.*
True Christians are no part of how the world around us is setup/structured. They remain separate like Jesus said. But at the same point they show love for people.
    John 17:14-16 New International Version
14I have given them your word and the world has hated them, *for they are not of the world any more than I am of the world.* 15My prayer is not that you take them out of the world but that you protect them from the evil one. *16They are not of the world, even as I am not of it.*
    James 1:27 Amplified Bible
*Pure and unblemished religion* [as it is expressed in outward acts] in the sight of our God and Father is this: to visit and *look after the fatherless and the widows in their distress, and to keep oneself uncontaminated by the [secular] world.*
