    In this video I am showing you guys how I style my next day hair. Because let's face it, I can't be the only one guilty of going multiple days without washing my hair. The whole shower, blow dry, style, then repeat every single day can get kind of time consuming. So, in this video, I give you some of my favorite tricks to keep that hair looking AMAZING, even if it is on the second (or fourth) day. The real key, as you will see in the video, is product, products, products. Learning what products to use and how to use them is a must when you are trying to make that hair of yours last more than one day.
    If you have oily or greasy hair, dry shampoo is your new best friend when styling dirty or messy hair. It takes all of the greasiness away that comes from sleeping on our hair, touching our hair, oily scalps, etc. So when I apply the dry shampoo, I am left with fresh hair that ensures me that no one else will know how long I have gone without washing my hair.
    As amazing as the dry shampoo is, it can tend to dry out my ends, so my favorite trick to keep those ends saturated is to apply the Spoil Me by Bed Head. It is one of my all-time favorite products. In my opinion, it should be a staple in your hair product supplies. Not only does the Spoil Me keep those ends looking healthy and beautiful, it is also a de-frizzer and a smoother. So that way, when you wake up from a lovely night's sleep, that not so lovely bedhead can be tamed. And if you want to smooth things up even more, try using a boar bristle brush instead of the regular bristle brush. This will help smooth down any fly-aways and get a sleek, fresh look to that second day hair.
    After you use the previous products and get that hair looking clean and lively. You can then continue to style your hair however you wish. If you want to achieve a smooth and sleek look, brush the hair from roots to ends. Or if you are going for a more fun and playful look, try using my favorite spray wax, Play Dirty by Bed Head. Or you can check out some of my other hair tutorials to get some inspiration on how to style your next day hair. (links below)
    And just like that, you became a next day hair pro. Now you can keep your hair looking great, even if you don't wash it every single day.

    You ...I can now go 4 days without washing which saves from all the heat products and drying out. Keep the fabulous videos coming...and long hair does NOT make anyone beautiful....especially when it's in a pony everyday. My men love my short hair so I thank you!!! My whole flight crew is all cutting their hair and subscribing to your vids. I appreciate your info $$ ideas and great products to use. Keep up the great work...you look FAB and hopefully I have shown everyone long stringy hair is blah

    I love everything you do regarding hair. I'm a flight nurse and either had my hair long and always pulled up in a pony or some kind of device so I figured why have long hair to just always have it pulled up and ugly so I cut it into a pixie....best thing I ever did!!! And in my line of work you learn life is too short and that's the beauty of hair...IT ALWAYS GROWS BACK!!! So I followed your vids so easy to style and now I'm growing it out just a titch....I love yours!!

    I've discovered that if I use a bit of heat protectant spray and the blow dryer quickly it will really liven up my next day hair. Then depending on what I'm doing that day, I may use the flat iron to smooth out a few places! nice vid :)

    I followed your pixie cut and get so many compliments! Thanks so much, so easy I love it. It grows out so well too so sometimes I debate when to cut it. I do just wet it in the shower after a workout but don't use shampoo for about 4 days, and was shocked that it does style easier, with dome dirtiness to it. I knew my hair was like yours when I watched your haircut 2 video, too slippery after shampooing.

      Yes I have definitely tried it. I have also testes the Aveda dust and Sexy Hair and I find them all to be very comparable. I used the Big Sexy Hair Powder Play bc I like the dispenser on the bottle the most. It comes out more evenly. Here is the link if you need it: amzn.to/1j4oW4r

    All I can say is "Wow!" I recently got a Pixie and was thinking there was only one way to style it. You have given me many options. I really appreciate knowing which products you use. I have used some of them, and it really does make a difference for my fine, thin hair. One time I used Johnson's baby powder (the kind with cornstarch in it) in place of dry shampoo - on my roots only, and it worked too! Have you ever done that? What are your thoughts on it? Thanks again!

    Okay! So this is an awesome tutorial, thanks;) but question! I have the same color hair/ roots and my hair gets super oily looking and I just feel that when I do the dry shampoo it only lasts for a short while then looks greasy and oily again. Do you find that happen to you? Or does this method you used here seem to last you all day long? Would you recommend me just using more dry shampoo or do you have another product that might work to take that greasy look away that I could add to this routine?
    Thanks!!

    • @whippycakeplus
      @whippycakeplus  Před 10 lety

      I find that if I use enough dry shampoo and avoid touching my hair throughout the day, then the dry shampoo will last. But everyone's hair is different. If you aren't buying it already, Bed Head dry shampoo may work better for you rather than going the cheaper route. Hope this helped answer your question! xoxo
